The book of Hebrews describes the new covenant as better (not new) than the old covenant (Heb. 8:1-2, 6, NRSV). The obvious question, then, is Why did God establish the old covenant if it was faulty? The problem, however, was not with the covenant but with the response of the people to it.

It is Jesus that fulfills all covenants .... He is the only one that can and why it's a better covenant.

# 1 In Heb 8:8 the Greek text reads , I WILL MAKE // SYNTELEO , is in the Greek FUTURE TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , in the INDICAIVE MOOD , in the SINGULAR .

#2 A NEW // KAINOS is in the ACCUSATIVE CASE , in the SINGULAR and the word NEW is there .

# 3 COVENANT // DIATHEKE is also in the ACCUSAIVE CASE , here means LIMITED TO ONE

# 4 As to why the OLD COVENANT , Gal 3:19 answers your question it was ADDED on account of the Transgressions until the SEED , should come to whom it has been promised through angels by the hand of a mediator .

sin is transgression of the law ... the law is eternal has always been and will always be.

Sin (transgression of the law) started in heaven with lucifer and the 1/3 angels.

Until the seed (Jesus) come ... yes .... through which salvation is possible ... of which was slain before the foundation of the world (plan of salvation in place before creation) God's foreknowledge ... He knew what would happen ... He knew what choice Adam and Eve would make and the rest of humanity as well.

God created all His intelligent beings as free agents ... the choice to live according to the principals of love ... love can not be forced ... it MUST be a choice else it's not love.

The law (the 10) are laws of love ... that is when kept perfectly the result is perfect love (only Jesus did this)

The 10 is the "short list" of what love looks like .... the first table God's divine love and what that relationship looks like .... the 2nd table is how all of mankind is to treat one another but is like (similar) to the first. Everything Jesus taught whether in speech or in action reflects the law in it's entirety and He did so willingly. His ministry on earth reflected the true image of God ... because He was and is God and that image is perfect Love. Through His ministry on earth He expounded on the 10 ... that is gave more detailed information of what true love looks like.

Isaiah 43:41
King James Bible
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he (Jesus) will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Nothing has changed because God does not change. The law shows us the divine and unchanging character of God.

Malachi 3:6 says, “I am the Lord, I change not.” Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus is the same “yesterday, today, and forever.”

There is nothing wrong with God's laws not one single thing ... and is stated as such by Jesus.

Matthew 5:17-18 King James Version (KJV)Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (to make honorable). For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled (until His return). Why? Because He never changes.

Jesus did not mean for us to stop keeping the law once He “fulfilled” it. By fulfilling the law Jesus showed us how to keep the law fully ... while knowing and understanding how we struggle with doing that (overcoming sin - transgression of the law) not loving one another.

The first tablet helps us maintain a healthy relationship with God, and second tablet is our guide for our relationships with other humans. They are a way for humanity to express our devotion and obedience to God, and a way for God to express His will and character to us.
God gives us his law to help us live in harmony with his plan for our lives .... by choice ... not forced.

Laws that produce love my friends ... and we press forward in keeping them because we Love God and know He loved us first. Amen.

John 3:16
New International Version

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Amen. Thank you Jesus !!!!!

Keep the commandments out of Love and for no other reasons. It is not being legalistic as some claim ... it is being loving towards God and humanity and there certainly is no fault in that at all.

All Gods intelligent created beings are free agents (choice) that don't change ... that included lucifer and the 1/3 angels. Love can not be forced ... it MUST be a choice. Again sin (transgression of the law) began in heaven .... ok what law? Lucifer and the 1/3 sinned (transgression of the law) so what law was in heaven? Certainly not the laws and ordinances of the earthly sanctuary system .... that system wasn't even in place.

It was through faith of Abraham that the original covenant (promises made to him and his seed) were made and if we are in Christ we receive those promises made through Christ (we are considered as the seed of Abraham)

The 10 (ones that God wrote with His own finger engraved in stone - unchangeable) these are eternal law and placed inside the ark of the covenant

The other laws and ordinances written by Moses were ceremonial laws and placed outside of the ark of the covenant. The ceremonial laws of the earthly sanctuary system were pointing to Christ (until the seed come) ... it gives us understanding of how salvation takes place through Christ.

The new covenant was not in totally new ... but rather ... the old made new .... a better covenant not a new one

Hebrews 8:6

King James Bible
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

The problem with the old covenant was not the covenant itself but with the failure of the people to grasp it in faith (Hebrews 4:2).

Now, though, instead of symbols, types, and examples (as depicted in the earthly sanctuary system), we have Jesus Himself (the better promise/covenant), not only as the slain Lamb who shed His blood for our sin (Hebrews 9:12) but who stands as our High Priest in heaven ministering on our behalf (Hebrews 7:25). Though the salvation He offers is the same (through faith), this fuller revelation of Himself and the salvation found in Him, as revealed in the new (better) covenant, makes it superior to the old.

The law that was nailed to the cross were laws and ordinances within the earthly sanctuary system ... and we see this is the case as the earthly sanctuary system was destroyed ... no longer needed.

All will be judged ... judgement requires law ... whether in heaven or on earth. OK ... so what law will be used for judgement?

Isaiah 42:41
King James Bible
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law (existing law and not change or do away with it), and make it honourable.

What law was in place for Him to make honourable?

The law is alive and well and always will be, God don't change.

How long will they love delusions? Ps 4:2-3
So how is the BETTER COVENANT so much BETTER ?
It's not based on dead works. Hebrews 9:14-15
How were Jews saved under the Old Covenant ?
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Isa 43:18-19
I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, Ezek 37:14
And ten How are Jews saved under that BETTER COVENANT ??

The veil is removed in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14-15
And what does 2 Cor 3:14-15 really mean ??

As verse 14 , the SAME // AUTOS , IS A PERSONAL POSSESSIVE PRONOUN , IN THE SINGULAR , in the NEUTER , meaning Male and Female

And that same VAIL // KALYMMA , is also in the Nominative Case , is the subject and in the SINGULAR and in the NEUTER

It means that the VAIL is still a covering over all the JEWS !!

So how are Jews being saved TODAY , since the OLD COVENANT has been set aside ?

And Christ sent Paul to preach the DISPENSATION of the GRACE of God , in Eph 3:9 and Eph 2:8 ??

And you just changed the SUBJECT of 2 Cor 3:14 and changed it to 1 Peter 2:9 , no worry .

Then you believe that we will be a royal priesthood , BUT Rev 1:6 and Ex 19:6 says that Israel will be kings and priests is speaking about Israel , so can you say that ??

Your thoughts . HERE ??

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Cor 4:3-4

1 Cor 2:14 reads , But a soulish man receives NOT // OV is a DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGATIVE and that means he will never

receive the things of the Spirit of God , for it is foolishness to him and he can know , because it is being spiritually discerned .
