Evil May Not Dwell with God

Most of your questions would take a book to answer but this one is pretty easy.

…19But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this— to preserve the lives of many people. Genesis

All things work together for God for those who love God and are called according to HIs purpose.

I have issues that God tells me I would not have if I lived right. But still He is there for me to deliver me in my time of need.
Yes, God allows evil to exist and he allows bad people to do evil things even to good people, for God uses those experiences in our lives ultimately for our good and to grow and to mature us in our walks of faith and so that we will not walk in sin and in disobedience to His commands, but so that we will be his ministers in sharing the truth of the gospel and in setting the example for what it means to be a follower of Christ by how we live in purpose and in obedience to our Lord out of love for him because of what he did for us on that cross.

If you believe the Blessed Virgin Mary sinned...

I don't believe Catholics or Orthodox or Presbyterians or Lutherans or Methodists or Baptists or Non-Denominational, ... are the only true church. We must separate ecclesiastical unity from spiritual unity. All who are truly in Christ are members of one body. That body is not an ecclesiastical body. It is a spiritual body.
This theology is the outcome of the disunity among the various Protestant sects that multiplied after the reformation. Such a theology of the Church was completely unknown prior to the reformation. Rather, Christians were called to be of one mind and to hold fast to the traditions they had been taught either face to face or by epistle.

As Children of Light

“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.” (Ephesians 5:6-14 ESV)

The Lord recently had me write a meme on the subject of “In Church.” And he had me explain that the church is the body of Christ which is made up of all who are followers of God/Christ who are walking in his (agape) love who are following Christ in obedience to his commands. The church, thus, is not a building called “church,” and it is not a church denomination, nor is it a business incorporated under the state, nor is it a civic center nor a social club, although that is largely what it has been turned into here in America.

So to be “in church” is not us attending a “church service” once or twice a week in a particular building on a specific day in the week, but it means to be in Christ by genuine God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ which results in us being crucified with Christ in death to sin, and us being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And it means that we are denying self, dying daily to sin, and that we are following Jesus in obedience to his will.

Does it also mean for us to gather with other members of the body of Christ for the specific purpose of worship, fellowship, the studying of God’s word, and for a time in which we can minister to one another within the body of Christ for the purpose of mutual encouragement and edification? Yes! It does! But the church is still the people of God who are of genuine faith in Jesus Christ whose lives should be committed to serving Jesus Christ with their lives and to obeying him and his commands and walking in his ways.

And these gatherings should be gatherings of Christ’s body where we can mutually encourage one another in our walks of faith so that none of us will be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness, and where we can utilize the gifts of the Spirit given to us by God in the areas of ministry to which God has assigned us within the body of Christ, and where we, the body, can speak the truth in love to one another, and build one another up in our most holy faith, and where we can warn other Christians against false teachings, and where we can stir one another up to love and to the good works of God.

And one person is not to do all the talking and ministering, and one person is not to do all the song selections. And our gatherings are not to be for the purpose to invite the world into our gatherings, and thus we alter God’s purposes for our gatherings in order to “draw in large crowds of people from the world” to our gatherings, and so we make decisions for our gatherings based on the felt needs of the people of the world and based on marketing tricks and schemes on how to attract the world to our gatherings. Our gatherings are for our edification, not to attract the world.

So, does that mean that we are to be ingrown and that we ignore the people of the world? No! But the purpose of our gatherings is so that we can encourage one another who are “in Christ” and who are part of Christ’s body so that we can grow to maturity in Christ and so we are not led astray by those who deceive with empty words which are giving professing Christians permission to keep living like the world and to keep walking in sin, which is what so many of these “churches” (businesses) now are doing. But that purpose can’t happen if we are trying to attract the world to our gatherings.

And if our gatherings are all so large to where only a select few get to do all the ministering, then we become a lopsided body of Christ, and the body suffers from starvation from the encouragement that they could be receiving from the rest of the body. And the Scriptures teach that we are to meet daily, like the New Testament church did, and in people’s homes, or wherever other believers can gather together for mutual encouragement and fellowship, which is happening to some degree on the internet, as well, especially on social media sites or in the blogging world.

Anyway, the Scriptures teach that all of us who are part of the body of Christ are necessary to the proper working of Christ’s body, and so we need to be doing what God has called and designed us to do, and we need to be meeting with one another and sharing with one another what the Scriptures teach with regard to how we are to live, and where we can exhort one another to leave behind our sinful practices and to walk in holiness and in righteousness in walks of obedience to the Lord. Then we can go out to the world with the message of the gospel, to bring people to faith in Christ.

So, please understand that to be “in church” is not about attending a “church service” that is institutionalized and is incorporated under the government and that is following the marketing schemes of human beings who are trying to grow their businesses. And we are not to dilute the gospel nor the purpose of our gatherings in order to attract the world so that they will feel comfortable among us. They should not feel comfortable among us if we are doing what the Bible teaches we are to be doing in our gatherings, and if we are confronting sin and calling for repentance and obedience.

So we are not to be partners with those who are partners with the world and who are trying to attract the world to their gatherings via worldly means and methods. For we are to take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather we are to expose them. And we are not to be partners with those who are following institutional and denominational and historical ways of “doing church” which are contrary to the teachings of the Scripture and which ignore the bulk of the body of Christ and their gifts and ministries and which are being controlled by businesspeople trying to grow their businesses.

So, please know what the Scriptures teach with regard to who the church is, that it is believers in Jesus Christ, and with regard to how we all are to operate as the body of Christ in ministering to one another, and not just one day a week, but every day, and not in just one location, but any location where two or more can gather in the name of Jesus for the purpose of ministering to one another. For it is not “the church” just because it is called “church.” It is only the church if it is a gathering of followers of Christ who are gathering to minister to one another in the way God purposed for us to do so.

As the Deer

By Martin J. Nystrom
Based off Psalm 42:1

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

Under the tree and vine

Spiritual wings and my heart flies
Sorrowful yet rejoicing my soul testifies

I love the Lord because he heard my cry
My redeemer lives, and I will never die

He is my hope, and he is sure
Blessed are those who's heart is pure

Blessed are those who hope in You
You're are the way and life, and you are true

President Biden and Democrats have a plan for American energy: make it harder to produce and more expensive to purchase

So where will you be getting your evidence from? You know, the evidence that you'll be using to answer the questions you were asked.
Perhaps there are facts and evidence from non-governmental websites and from news sources that don't support the climate change new green deal agendas.

Trump blasts his trial judges. Then his fans call for violence.

They aren't. They're targeting people who've been indicted on possible criminal acts. I think it just says something different that you support those people and don't want to admit that.
I think that it says something that you appear to believe the lies of the political party in power that is willing to do almost anything to keep that power.

I remember when the American judicial system was not targeting the political opponents of the Democratic Party.

I accidentally leered at someone and I feel terrible

I was on the train and had just gotten off, I saw someone and promptly had an intrusive thought. I then briefly leered at them for a second before I caught myself and was horrified. This was not a person I had any interest in (inapropriate target) and I can only hope they didn't see me. I feel horrible. I don't really think of anyone that way. (I suspect I have asexual leanings)
My OCD is now insisting that I sexually harassed them and should be punished.
Please pray for me.

Under the tree and vine

We live in the spirit, but we walk in the flesh
A horn of iron, and bronze hooves thresh

We seek redemption in the Lord's mercy
Im crucified to the world, and it to me

I find refuge under his wings
My heart is glad, and joyfully sings

Simplicity and grace dawn a new day
The Lord is my refuge, and I will stay.

WILTON CARDINAL GREGORY ARCHBISHOP OF WASHINGTON D.C. CALLS OUT PRESIDENT BIDEN AS A CAFETERIA CATHOLIC!

And that all changed when Ronnie Raygun decided to let the Evangelicals call the shots in the GOP.
So, nobosy is free to be both evangelical, and a politician?

I see a few blame games going on.

It reminds me of a man who punches a woman in the face and says 'You made me...'
It doesn't fly.

Do Buddhists, Muslims, and Christians worship the same God?

If Muslims truly believe those verses from the Qur'an, then they should believe and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior. If Muslims really do believe those words from their book, then they ought to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sadly, they are just as lost as are the secularists, the humanists, and the followers of false religions according to the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Virginia school board votes to restore Confederate names to two schools

By spread you mean one privately owned statue in Seattle?

Maybe there is more I don't know. And it didn't stop some people in America to want more war criminals and tyrants to be placed up.

Neither did it stop Che Guevara from being idolized by certain political faction in America. In fact you can easily find Che Guevara merchandise sold openly in America.

WILTON CARDINAL GREGORY ARCHBISHOP OF WASHINGTON D.C. CALLS OUT PRESIDENT BIDEN AS A CAFETERIA CATHOLIC!

1) The 45th President's moral issues with Christianity go away beyond abortion.

2) People seem to forget history -

Abortion was a "Catholic" problem throughout most of American history. Of course Protestant denominations support abortion rights, it wasn't (and really isn't) their issue. The political leaders of the Evangelical Christianity made it an issue for Evangelicals in an effort to get Catholics to join the Moral Majority and the Reagan Coalition.

Originally abortion was a small government, personal right issue, Catholic's only issue and the protestant Republicans were pro-abortion. The Democrats, who were strongly supported by blue collar Catholic, were anti-abortion.

And that all changed when Ronnie Raygun decided to let the Evangelicals call the shots in the GOP.

Protestants all went to the dark side regarding it as a right [not all] when Sanger wrote her book.
When the courts allowed it.
But historically, they were more in line with the Catholics.

Reagan did not force [nor twist arms] making democrats pro abortion.

Ahh, makes me glad to be in the center. :) Pro-life here, pro-environment, and for the protection of youngsters (such as keeping the trans stuff away from people, having screenings of dangerous individuals before they buy guns, etc).

Remember when politicians used to be closer to the center, back in the 2000s, with Al Gore, Bush, Obama, Romney? Pepperidge farm remembers. Remember when the left wasn't so woke as it is in 2024, and when the right used to have moderate politicians that kept to Christian ideals, and the farther right did not resort to violence? Pepperidge farm remembers.

The only quibble I have with your post, my brother in Christ, is that I strongly disagree that Obama was a centrist. Perhaps he was on some topics. But on many others I really don't believe that he was.

Do Buddhists, Muslims, and Christians worship the same God?

Muslims don't believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior Who died for the sins of the world. Muslims don't believe that Jesus Christ is Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
This is true, but as I said in my earlier post; "While they [Muslims] may reject the deity of Christ, that in no way changes who the one true God is, hence, Christians, and Muslims are worshiping the same God. The God of Abraham."

Allah is NOT a true eternal deity. Allah is not YWHW the LORD. According to the OT and the NT, There is only one true God, or Elohim, or YWHW. His name is most certainly not Allah.
Do you believe that Arab Christians are in error when they call God "Allah?" What about Bibles in Southeast Asia that use the word "Allah" rather than God?

The god the Muslims serve and worship is most definitely NOT the one true God in the Bible.
Earlier I posted some verses from the Qur'an:
“We believe in God, and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses, and Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.” (Qur'an 3:84)

"Who would forsake the religion of Abraham, except he who fools himself?" We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. (Qur'an 130)

"We will worship thy God, the God of our forefathers Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, the One God; and unto Him will we surrender ourselves." (Qur'an 2:133)

"...there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal... He sent down the Torah and the Gospel." (Qur'an 3:2-3)

All food was permissible to the Children of Israel, except what Israel forbade for himself before the Torah was revealed. Say, “Bring the Torah, and read it, if you are truthful.” Whoever forges lies about God after that—these are the unjust. Say, “God has spoken the truth, so follow the religion of Abraham... (Qur'an 3:93-95)

In their footsteps, We sent Jesus son of Mary, fulfilling the Torah that preceded him; and We gave him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and confirming the Torah that preceded him, and guidance and counsel for the righteous. So let the people of the Gospel rule according to what God revealed in it. Those who do not rule according to what God revealed are the sinners. (Qur'an 5:46-47)
With the above verses in mind, what god are they describing?
