Is transgenderism a product of cause-and-effect?

If so, I'd like to see how science justifies this sinful practice -- (assuming they do).

And if it hasn't been justified yet, what exactly are scientists looking into that would cause this to happen?

Can a person become a transgender against his will?

On the other hand, if not, then what does academia attribute this to?

Cause and effect: I would guess that people's gender identities do have a cause, probably a complicated mix of genetics and development in utero and other factors.

Against their will: Some people report being miserable from gender dysphoria, so I'd say that those people's gender dysphoria is against their will.

Scientific study: From what I've read, scientists are currently studying the origins of gender identity and gender dysphoria, and they have not yet come to a consensus. Check back in a hundred years.

I don't have any answers to your questions. Just a comment that I have always been mystified by gender dysphoria. I'm a male, but I don't internally go around thinking "I'm Male." I'm just me. If I happened to like things culturally attributed to women or had a sexual preference for men, I would just think I'm a homosexual or I happen to like ballet and playing with dolls. (Maybe these are bad examples.) I wouldn't think "I'm a female". So I don't get an internal feeling that I'm not the sex/gender that I physically am. I'm just me. Sorry if none of this makes sense. Maybe other people have a strong internal feeling as to their gender.

I can imagine Caityln Jenner getting a new name in Heaven; and, of course, it's a male name.

I wonder if Caityln would complain then?

(Assuming, of course, that Caityln goes there.)

Imagine Caityln having to carry a man's name throughout all eternity!

Why do you waste time imagining things like that about a person you don't even know?

You do realize God's children will get new names, do you not?

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

We even sing about it:

I suspect a lot of scientists are quaking in their boots over the fear of being cancelled over not being woke enough. Universities are the locus of the cancel culture. Thus scientists would need to at least play along with transgenderism to survive.

I look for them to come up with SOMETHING to justify transgenderism.

A gene, DNA, copy error, sunspots.

Something ... anything to justify it.

I'm actually surprised you're willing to picture her in heaven. I'm pretty sure moat Christians couldn't

You specifically and EXPLICITLY used the word "justify" instead of "explain". Science has no duty to justify anything.... sonperhaps you could use a paradigm shift in your fundamental understanding of science

That's true.

And I do have reservations about it.

But I must be true to doctrine.

Once saved, always saved.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

And IF Bruce Jenner got saved before he went haywire, then I have to respect his conversion.

I think there are definitions in the dictionary that will uphold my point of view.

Glad that you could be so specific with your initial word choice that your follow up post where you could clarify alludes to a definition likely existing in the dictionary.

Informative. And yet it doesn't explain men without genetic anomalies wanting to be women or women without genetic anomalies wanting to be men. This explains a TINY percentage of what looks like a social contagion.

The more I hear transgender people talk about being transgender, the less it sounds like a genuine disorder in many. But rather more something that's based on feelings. And a cultural thing. Some people want to be bikers and belong to a club like Hell's Angels. Others want to cowboys. Others want to be goths. Others want to be trans. Trans can mean all sorts of things; agender, bigender, pangender, nonbinary. It's very customizable. There appears to be a lot of narcissism involved.
