No. It has been an arrangement forced on Ukraine since independence. Now would be a good time to end it. The loss would be a humiliation to Russia which no doubt Putin would take personally. (He seems touchy that way.)

This would be something for after the war - between the protagonists. Perhaps it could be a quid pro quo for reparations.

It certainly has. Forests being blown to bits destroying habitats; land contaminated with explosives and metallic debris; radioactive soil disturbed; the Russians have destroyed multiple dams. Again this is widely reported.

We might have to stop the war to rebuild Ukraine.

Many nations have pledge to help with rebuilding and a just settlement will involve reparations as has been widely reported.

For someone who makes arguments repeatedly about the nature of this war and the prospects of peace you seem woefully uninformed. Would you do yourself and the rest of us a favor and go learn something about what is happening before posting more of your proposals?
