Trump blasts his trial judges. Then his fans call for violence.

We still believe in traditional values. The Democratic Party has jumped away from that decades ago. In 2016, I voted for Ted Cruz over Donald Trump. However, even though I am not a huge fan of Trump's personal character, I do admire his ability to stand up and win against the Washington DC politicians and ruling establishment class in America and the rest of the world.
But what do you mean when you say "stand up and win"?
1) He lost the general election
2) I don't know why you don't understand that Trump IS THE RULING ESTABLISHMENT CLASS. Any "win" he gets against them is just you being duped into thinking that.
3) Rest of the world think Trump is an utter joke. They're scared of hte US but many of them believe that Trump is a stupid, unpredictable idiot.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4439620-john-bolton-world-leaders-trump-laughing-fool/
4) Things that make you say "I'm not a huge fan of Trump's personal character", for many other's around the planet, are reason enough to think he'd be a terrible leader. Because personal character traits are the most influential parts that dictate the quality of someone's leadership.

Is it a good idea to defund the State Department, the National Security Council, or the Defense Department?

I believe that bill is an attempt to prevent Joe and his Administration from following through on the threat to NOT deliver the exact military supplies to Israel which was earmarked to Israel by an earlier bill passed by the Senate and the House and which Biden signed off on.

IS 2 COR 3:6 SPEAKING ABOUT THE NEW COVENANT ?

And Heb 8:8 says that It is all Jewish . When Christ will make a NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE of Israel and with the HOUSE of Judah !!

It does not a NEW COVANANT with the Body of Christ ,

Or the Palestinian Covenant

Or the Davidic Covenant

Or the MOSIAC Covenant that has been set aside in Acts 28:25-28 and 2 Cor 3:13-16 .

Communion sickness

The same act of Grace - Jesus' death burial and Resurrection - that paid for forgiveness of sins - paid for physical healing. Take your reference on Job - when he repented - God healed him physically - then restored him and made him very wealthy.

It also teaches how to rise from the grave with Christ - how to be more than conquerors - how god leads continuously into victory.

I've already shown you specifically what Paul lived with. 2 Cor 11

I hope and pray that you find the victory - just like Paul did - God's very best to you my friend.

IS 2 COR 3:6 SPEAKING ABOUT THE NEW COVENANT ?

I don't know what your point is. Are you saying that if we are not Jewish that none of the elements of the new covenant apply to us...
  1. He does not put His law in our minds and write it on our hearts (Jer 31:33), and
  2. He is not our God, and We are not His people (Jer 31:33), and
  3. We do not know Him, from the least of us to the greatest of us (Jer 31:34), and
  4. He does not forgive our iniquity, and He does still remember our sins (Jer 31:34)?
And Heb 8:8 says that It is all Jewish . When Christ will make a NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE of Israel and with the HOUSE of Judah !!

It does not mean a NEW COVANANT with the Body of Christ ,

Or the Palestinian Covenant

Or the Davidic Covenant

Florida Republican willing to buck leadership to bring tax relief bill to House floor with help of Democrats

If it happens, it would mark a rare moment in the House and another first for the 118th Congress. With a razor-thin majority, Johnson has faced intense pushback from conservative hardliners and there have been multiple instances of major legislation – such as government funding bills – passing with the support of a bipartisan coalition. The support Steube has gotten from Democrats for the move is also the latest example of how bipartisanship has emerged even in the midst of a highly polarized political environment.

“As the tax package now appears to be stuck in the Senate, and House leadership has been unwilling to bring my bipartisan disaster tax relief legislation up as a standalone bill, I filed a discharge petition to bring this bill to the floor for a long-past due vote,” Steube said in a statement to CNN.

In late April, Steube initiated a rare procedural move – and filed his petition to discharge his bill – that would provide tax relief for people affected by federal disasters, including Hurricane Ian and residents affected by an Ohio train derailment.

With the help of 190 Democrats signing on to the petition, it hit the critical 218 threshold that allows Steube to bring it directly to the floor for a vote.

If the bill comes to the floor via the discharge petition, it will mark the third time since 2000 – and the 12th time since 1967 – that a discharge petition was successfully executed.

Trump blasts his trial judges. Then his fans call for violence.

I need to ask:
For DECADES Republicans were the "family values" party that did everything they could to avoid a person like Trump.

So.....

What changed?

And should this be an expected about face so that we would expect no Republican to ever again bring mention of marital infidelity of Democrats to the fore? Even as a president?

Dating apps have filter flaws

Dating apps are intentionally designed to be an uphill battle, because that approach brings in the most money. The statistics on men who've had success on these apps are very dishearteningly low. There are those who have found someone that way, but that seems like the exception as opposed to the rule.

It's actually quite tough for women as well.

I found that through meeting other women, that our "match counts" were actually quite similar, but the conversations are diabolical. There's too many to keep track of, so all of them get lost in the shuffle, and when you receive a new match, all of the matches and conversations get pushed down the stack.

You actually get talking to one or two that you really like, but you DO just forget - and by the time you reply, it's a week later and then they forget, move on, or leave the app entirely.

It's better to meet organically in real life. It's really really hard to forget good chemistry, good shared experiences and real life conversation. Especially when this happens at the same time as trying the online dating thing.

Is it a good idea to defund the State Department, the National Security Council, or the Defense Department?

I am curious about people's first reaction to that question.

To me, a simple "no" makes sense.

And if that's the case, it seems like it should go without saying that using that as a bargaining chip to get what you want, also seems like an inexplicable self sabotaging action.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/16/politics/house-israel-weapons-bill-vote/index.html
I was hoping to go "buddy buddy' with cnn and put a foxnews link but I can't find it on their website.
I wonder why.

Obviously, Biden would never sign it but doesn't it seem twisted that ANYONE would vote for this bill?

Honestly, all I see from this bill is that the Israeli lobby in the US has an, disproportionately unhealthy hold on your government.

The 1,000 Year Judgment & Beyond

At Jesus' appearing He takes the saints to heaven John 14:1-3
It is the rapture event mentioned in 1 Thess 4:13-18 -- this is called "The first resurrection" in Rev 20:3-5
IT is the same coming of Christ in Matt 24:29-33 where all humans see Him and He gathers "his elect from one end of the sky to the other".
At that same event all the lost are destroyed 2 Thess 1:5-8
Leaving a desolate Earth with "no humands" Jer 4:23-26
I'm so glad to see you are using scriptures to support your comment. That's good practice.
One can then search the scriptures to see if they support what you say.

Reading Jeremiah 4:23, I am seeing "the land is empty".
"I looked at the land and saw that it was an empty wasteland. I looked up at the sky, and its light had vanished.

Which land?
Cross referencing that scripture, we have...
Jeremiah 9:10; Isaiah 5:30; Zephaniah 1:3... They all refer to the land of Judah which God lays bare.

Looking at Jeremiah 4:27, 28, we read,
27 All this will happen because the LORD said, "The whole land will be desolate; however, I will not completely destroy it.
28 Because of this the land will mourn and the sky above will grow black. For I have made my purpose known and I will not relent or turn back from carrying it out."

So we are looking at prophetic words concerning the land of Judah, rather than the whole earth.

Rev 20 says that after the 1000 years is over the wicked are raised and are judged -- because the city of God "the camp of the saints" the "New Jerusalem" has come back to earth at the end of the 1000 years.
Does your Bible say the wicked will be resurrected?
Can you quote the verse please?

During the 1000 years the saints judge the lost Rev 20:2-5
When you say lost, can you be more specific... Who are these "lost"?

scripture says "you will judge angels" fallen Angels 1 Cor 6:3
Rev 3 says the saints rule in judgment "With a rod of iron" Rev 3 -- judging the wicked.
scripture says the saints crush satan under their feet (judgment on him).

When the 1000 years are over the punishment determined by the saints is meted out to the wicked in the lake of fire (Rev 20)
Yes. The wicked will be gone forever. Good riddance.

yep

yep that comes at the end of the 1000 years
True - Rev 21 -- that is after the lake of fire event in Rev 20
Peter merges "the coming of our Lord" 2 Peter 3:4 and the "elements melting" (John calls it Lake of fire) 2 Peter 3:10 as a single event that Peter calls "The Day of the Lord" that spans 1000 years which is what Rev 19 and 20 show. Rev 19 we have the coming of Christ along with its "battle of Armageddon part 1" then 1000 years and "Armageddon part 2" where Gog and Magog show up at the resurrection of the wicked (the second resurrection in Rev 20)
Armageddon part 2?
That's no Armageddon, partner. That's an instant wipe out. Like throwing garbage in an insinuator. :D Armageddon is a war.

fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them
That's no war.

Eli thought Hannah was drunk

1 Samuel 1:

7 This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the Lord, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat. 8 Her husband Elkanah would say to her, “Hannah, why are you weeping? Why don’t you eat? Why are you downhearted? Don’t I mean more to you than ten sons?”
Elkanah was an understanding, sympathetic husband.

9 Once when they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah stood up. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his chair by the doorpost of the Lord’s house. 10 In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”
Hannah was in emotionally deep distress. Tears were in her eyes. What did Eli do? He focused on her lips.

12 As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. 13 Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk
Eli was the high priest. His words carried authority. More than any other Israelites, Eli represented God. He should have been more careful with the words that came out of his mouth. Imagine your pastor incorrectly accuses you of wrongdoing while your heart is breaking. Eli completely missed the picture and jumped to the wrong conclusion. She was not holding a glass of drink. She had already finished eating and drinking. Eli was quick to order her:

14 and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.”
As the high priest representing God, he was too quick to judge.

15“Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. 16 Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.”
Eli had a redeeming quality. He was also quick to change course once he recognized his mistake.

17 Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.”
No hard feelings for Eli or Hannah.

18 She said, “May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.
The episode ended on a positive note. Praise God!

What does this reveal to me?

Eli was too quick to judge the innocent. He was not competent to be a high priest.

You ignore the fact that all the apostles were martyred and they were persecuted. The church was persecuted and killed.

Have you never read Romans 8 and 1 Corinthians chapter 13? It's disease, demons and death

Those scriptures were written for persecuted and suffering Christians.

Also please consider Revelation 6:11 and 2 Timothy 3:12 and Acts 20:29 and Matthew 10:16-25

Paul died daily and he carried death in his body. Consider that as well.

The other side to this, is that you DID get married, but never got into business. I don't know if it's better to feel a bit lonely but otherwise fulfilled, or happily married, but feeling incredibly unfulfilled.

Wild horses couldn't pull me away from doing what I'm most passionate about - and my passion can overwhelm even my most basic human instincts (eat, sleep, etc.) You're probably similar if work/business has taken priority this far.

I'd be a terribly bad husband on the whole - I know this, so I steer clear. I'm not saying you would be, but it's hard to be good at everything.

It can be done though.

Biden release 14 second challenge to debate Trump - takes 5 times to get it right

As long as Biden and also Trump ain't reading from note cards or being given helpful hints via an earpiece, then I believe that allowing each one of them to speak without any interruption from each other AND the moderators is the best way to get a good debate.

Did Christ die for the sin of unbelief ?

It is impossible to be regerated by His Holy Spirit before one first has faith and believes. I truly think our definition of regeneration is quite different, as we can not become a " new man" ( regenerated) unless one decides ( chooses) to believe first then He makes His Home in us. That being said, these technicalities should not be central point IMHO. Jesus Christ of Nazareth should be our Center.
Thank you for engaging!
Be blessed
Like I said, unbelief is a sin that was paid for, died for, no one Christ died for can die in unbelief, that would be injustice since its been paid for. All that you saying is foreign to scripture truth

Rev. Franklin Graham: Boy Scouts Program Lost Its Way

Has anybody articulated a reason why it’s bad for the Boy Scouts to shift to being co-ed? Is it wrong to include girls?

Or is this just the usual knee jerk reaction to anything that’s different?
What was wrong with the way it was? What was wrong with having teenage girls in the girl scouts and teens in the boy scouts? Perhaps it is better for girls and boys to have different and separate groups so that boy scouts can learn, enjoy scouting that boys want to do. Perhaps it's better for girls to have separate groups, or "troops" so that girls can safely enjoy learning and doing scouting without potentially being harassed or bullied by immature or mean boys.

Is it wrong for me to be content where God put my Family?

My wife has been looking at houses on Zillow and I think it is because she is uncomfortable about the neighborhood/the people who walk up and down our street look quite thuggish☹️
God has provided us a house that’s paid for and I don’t make much plus she doesn’t work due to her having a heart defect/issue…
Can anybody give me encouragement on how to help her understand or even me how to understand what I should do…
I am Sooooooo Thankful for the place God has Provided to Us, but feel my wife is not and is just ready to find a new place to live… it was my first home b4 I met her and feel like as the 7 years has passed she has no desire to help me make this her home as well:(
Thanks for your responses and Prayers that God will Lead me to tell Her what is needed to be said the kind correct way.
