If the SDAs and others are going to continue to quote Is 66 to bolster their Sabbath doctrine

Isaiah 66:23 is an example of sola scriptura affirmation of the fact that Sabbath even in the OT has the Mark 2:27 scope of "all mankind".

"From Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL MANKIND come before Me to worship". Is 66:23

Here then is a text you struggle with quoting so far.

Were we simply "not supposed to notice"???

Over time you may become more comfortable actually looking at it, reading it... accepting it.

Keep trying.

Bob, that scripture refers to the Jerusalem that comes down from heaven.

1. "Jerusalem that comes down from heaven" is not in Isaiah 66.

2. The Isaiah 66:23 statement shows that even in the OT the "ALL MANKIND" application for the Sabbath for all eternity even after the cross - as Christ says it in Mark 2:27 "the Sabbath was made for MANKIND" and in Hebrews 4 'there REMAINS therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God" --

3. No wonder Isaiah ALSO points to gentiles blessed and affirmed for keeping the Sabbath in Isaiah 56:1-7

Yes it is Bob. Isaiah is referring to the Jerusalem from heaven. See, it says new

Isaiah 66:22 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord,

Isaiah 66:22 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord,

But it makes no mention at all of the new Jerusalem coming down in Isaiah 66 - as we both know.

New heavens and New Earth - continue for all of eternity even after the cross - thus the point remains.

After the cross the application of the Sabbath is to all mankind - AND is for all eternity AND shows Sabbath observance.

The very thing that some commandment-deniers have been at war against.
===========================================

Not sure why I pursued this - since I have no problem with Sabbath being observed for all eternity for all mankind in the New Earth - and have no problem with the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven at that time either.

Notice Christ said the time has come when people will no longer worship in Jerusalem or on the mountain. How then will all people come to the mountain and worship, as its written in Isaiah? These scriptures refer to a new earth, and new Jerusalem. Revelation talks about new Jerusalem, it accompanies a new earth.

In Acts 13, Acts 17:4, Acts 18:4 we have "Sabbath after Sabbath" worship services with BOTH Jews and gentiles - NOT in the temple in Jerusalem.

No. We have Jews observing the OT Sabbath, an paul going to the temple to "reason" with them.

Sadly your wild speculation would not stand up to the test of scripture.

1 Sam 2:19
19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

"from Sabbath to Sabbath" -- weekly
"from new moon to new moon" -- monthly
"from year to year" -- yearly.

Obviously.

In fact so glaringly obvious that one wonders if once again your solution is that we are "simply not supposed to notice" the Bible details.

Bible details so incredibly obvious even your own pro-sunday scholars admit to this. How sad then for your wild speculation.

You have free will - you can ignore all the Bible you wish ... why imagine that the rest of us would go for such methods??
Agreed. Here's a comparison.
Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
Ezekiel 46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the Lord in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

We also know that keeping the feast of tabernacles will be imposed on all:
Zechariah 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Do you read context? These people are not yet Christians. The apostles were preaching to jews and gentiles who were stil worshipping via the OC, not the NC, and they were telling these jews and gentiles about Christ. Naturally they were in the synagogue on Sabbath, they were not Christians.

The new covenant hasn't started yet, when it does all people will know God and Israel will be back in their land.
Jeremiah 31:31-40 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

None of this happened in the 1st century, the Jews lost their homeland and the need for missionary work obviously means we are still teaching our neighbor to love God. Here's a parallel passage.

Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

Ezekiel 11:17-21 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord God.

Not even MJ or SDA would agree with that. I guess i'll leave you to your contention.

A great example of Christians - like Paul worshiping Sabbath after Sabbath with both Jews and Gentiles - and all of them hearing Gospel sermons on Sabbath. Just as we see in Acts 18:4 "EVERY Sabbath" both Jews and Gentiles hearing Gospel sermons.

What is amazing for the sabbath-denier option is that at no point do we see the Acts statement "no longer show up next Sabbath you who are hearing our gospel message and believing Sabbath after Sabbath - from now on just join us on week-day-1 which we now call the Christian Sabbath and the Lord's Day".

That much-imagined command does not show up even once in all of the NT!!!

you appear to argue that under the OT - both Jews and gentiles were supposed keep the Bible Sabbath? Certainly we can all agree with you then. So also do your own pro-sunday scholars agree that the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath - the Bible Sabbath - the seventh day Sabbath - was for all mankind in the OT.

And so now in the post-cross age -- for all eternity - 'from Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL MANKIND come before Me to Worship" - Is 66:23

No. We have Jews observing the OT Sabbath, an paul going to the temple to "reason" with them.

ALL of those texts say BOTH Jews AND Gentiles are in the synagogues every Sabbath.

NONE of the texts say that "those who were believing Paul's message were told to stop attending church on the Bible Sabbath and start meeting with Paul on week-day-1 to hear more gospel sermons".

Rather "the NEXT Sabbath nearly the whole town showed up" Acts 13

And of course much discussion in Acts 13, 17 and 18 about there being BOTH Jews and Gentiles that were BELIEVING - attending those services - yet not ONCE are they told "please stop honoring God's Bible Sabbath - from now on join us in our week-day-1 gospel meetings... starting tomorrow".

No... not even once do we find that man-made-tradition in the Bible.

I don't follow pro Sunday scholars. The text is clear, paul was preaching to people who were not Christian, yet travis93 used it as proof that Christians observed Sabbath. Your argument is one big fallacy. Truth is Gods command, lets keep it real

See, this why you don't learn anything, because you do not correct your misunderstanding of particular scriptures. You are clearly wrong about using those acts scriptures the way you do, please allow yourself to be corrected, its wise, its good.

Yes but there is a shadow and a reality. The reality is not according to the covenant God made with Israel, And God said it himself in Jerimiah. You are worshipping according to the way given to Israel's forefathers, but God gave them and us gentiles a new way. The Sabbath is still there but its Christ himself, not a week day.

David desired to see what we do but he didn't. You are blessed to see it but you close your eyes.

Psalms 119:18 Open my eyes that I may see
wonderful things in your law.

Matthew 13:16 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

The new way

Jeremiah 33:31
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.

32
It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to[d] them,[e]”
declares the Lord.

33
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts

John 6:45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’[a] Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.

The promised Sabbath rest is Christ himself
, not a week day

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Colossians 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Matthew 13:52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Is 66:23 says what happens on the Sabbath "From Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL MANKIND come before Me to worship".

Keep trying to read it.
Help me find the word "on" in your quote, or even your passage.
