Comer Initiates Another Investigation (Political Circus) Into Walz' "relationship with China"

In a letter to FBI Director Christopher A. Wray, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) wrote that Walz (D) had “concerning ties” to China, citing the governor’s dozens of trips to the country, and requested a trove of documents and information related to Chinese entities that Walz has engaged with.

“Americans should be deeply concerned that Governor Walz, Kamala Harris’s vice-presidential running mate, has a long-standing and cozy relationship with China,” Comer said in a statement. “Mr. Walz has visited China dozens of times, served as a fellow at a Chinese institution that maintains a devotion to the CCP, and spoke alongside the President of a Chinese organization the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders.”

[red flag...politicians telling us what we should be deeply concernced with]

And what did Tim Walz do? This reeks of McCarthyism....

Walz first went to China in 1989 as part of a teach-abroad program run by Harvard University, and he taught English and American history for one year. Later on with his wife, Gwen, Walz established Educational Travel Adventures, which coordinated trips to China.

In the years since, during his time in elected office, Walz has served on the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, and spearheaded legislation that censured the country’s human rights record. He has been critical of the Chinese government’s actions for most of his time in public office.

Another political circus compliments of your GOP Oversight Committee led by James Comer.

Harris Campaign Requires Employees to Be ‘Up to Date’ on COVID-19 Vaccines

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign is requiring its employees to be “up to date” on COVID-19 vaccines, according to a job listing from the campaign, which is searching for National Booker.

The Harris campaign has a job listing for a “National Booker,” tasked with working “with the Surrogates Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director to execute Harris for President’s strategy for deploying surrogates and allies across national and regional media outlets.” According to the listing, the National Booker is also tasked with managing daily reservations with media bookers and “developing strategies to increase the visibility of campaign spokespeople and surrogates across TV networks, radio, digital streaming programs, podcasts, and more.”

Required skills and qualifications for the job are fairly run-of-the-mill: three to five years of experience in media or communications, a strong interest in media or politics, good instincts, and the ability to thrive in a “fast-paced environment.”

However, in the fine print at the bottom of the listing, the campaign makes it clear that it also expects the would-be employee to be completely caught up on his or her coronavirus vaccinations.

The requirement reads:

Harris for President requires all employees to be “up to date” on COVID-19 vaccination status as prescribed by the CDC as a condition of employment, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law. If you seek a reasonable accommodation in relation to the campaign’s COVID-19 policy, you should speak to the HR Department prior to reporting to an office location.
It remains unclear what the campaign considers a “reasonable accommodation” to sidestep the coronavirus vaccination rules, such as concerns over adverse effects.

Opinion Republicans want Trump to drop the insults — but that’s all he’s got

Republicans are begging Donald Trump to stop being so insulting.
As a certain president of the United States might say: Not a joke!
Just listen to them:
  • “The winning formula for President Trump,” his White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said on Fox Business, “is fewer insults, more insights.”
  • Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro, recently released from prison and now guest hosting the show of another former Trump adviser, Stephen K. Bannon, while he does his stint in prison, told viewers: “When Trump attacks Harris personally rather than on policy, Harris’s support among swing voters rises.”
  • Deposed House speaker Kevin McCarthy proposed that Trump “make this race not on personalities. Stop questioning the size of her crowds.”
  • Vanquished Trump primary opponent turned Trump supporter Nikki Haley added that his campaign “is not going to win talking about what race Kamala Harris is. It’s not going to win talking about whether she is dumb.”
  • Another primary opponent turned supporter, Vivek Ramaswamy, told Politico that he had advised Trump to “shift the focus to policy.”
  • And longtime GOP pollster Frank Luntz told CNN that “if it’s about attributes, Harris is much more likely to be successful, because, quite frankly, people like her more than they like him.”
They all might as well ask Trump to abandon Mar-a-Lago and move into a double-wide. Trump abandon insults? They are the very essence of the man.

The name-calling Trump does is childish and many of his insults come from a school playground. Add to the conspiracy theories and untruths. It is no wonder that globally he is regarded negatively.

Evangelicals for Harris Support Candidate Who ‘Better Reflects Christian Values’

Evangelicals for Harris Support Candidate Who ‘Better Reflects Christian Values’

A group called Evangelicals for Harris has formed to back Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat, in her run for president. As part of their “Christian belief in the common good,” supporters urge people to reject Donald Trump, the Republican candidate and 45th U.S. president.

On social media, Evangelicals for Harris is publicizing an upcoming Zoom call for “fellowship and action.” The speaker lineup for the Aug. 14 event includes Dwight McKissic, Jemar Tisby, and Raymond Chang. “All Christians and people of good will” are invited to join the call and exercise “our God-given citizenship by voting for someone who better reflects Christian values.”

Evangelicals for Harris: VP Is Christian, Respects Other Faiths

According to a July 24 press release, the Rev. Jim Ball founded both Evangelicals for Harris and, during the 2020 presidential campaign, Evangelicals for Biden. “Kamala Harris knows how to stand up to and stare down bullies,” Ball said. “We’re going to win, and she will make a terrific president. Tough on bad guys. Compassionate for those in need. Ready to unite our country.” The VP’s policies are “pro-family” and “pro-environment,” Ball added.

On its website, Evangelicals for Harris highlights “Kamala’s Faith Story.” The group recaps her Baptist background, her “calling” to public service, and her “great respect for other faith traditions,” including Hinduism and Judaism. Harris’s favorite Bible verse, according to the group, is 2 Corinthians 5:7, about walking by faith, not sight.

Evangelicals for Harris notes that the VP, “a deeply committed and faithful Christian,” supports religious liberty and separation of church and state. It quotes her as saying, “Like many people of faith, I have private conversations with God where I usually ask for the strength and protection to make good decisions and do the right thing.”

In response to pro-Trump comments online, Evangelicals for Harris contrasts each candidate’s supporters. “Too much of the Church has been consumed by worship of Trump and the false prophets that deify him,” the group stated. “We support Harris but she is not our savior. See the difference?”

Faith Leaders Stump for Kamala Harris

One scheduled speaker for Wednesday’s online event is Dwight McKissic, senior pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. On Aug. 11, he posted, “Anyone who has, or plan to vote for Donald J. Trump has absolutely no moral authority…as in none, zero, nada…to question the morality or immorality of the Democrat presidential nominee or their platform.”

Last month, McKissic wrote about a developing “coalition of the least, the last, the locked out, the disfavored, the disinherited, the rejected, the ridiculed, and those who can empathize, identify with, or who understand that to heal America, we have to heal the historic wounds of alienation, separation, division, and devaluing.”

Harris, added McKissic, “represents all of us who fall under the category of the rejected, and those who desire to heal, help, and welcome us to a seat at the table, even sitting in the chair designated for the POTUS.”

Professor Jemar Tisby, a former pastor, posted about the Aug. 14 Zoom call, “Democracy itself is on the line, so I will be, too.”

About his support for Evangelicals for Harris, pastor and activist Raymond Chang wrote, “You don’t have to stand with everything that a politician stands for in order to support them or back them. There are Christians doing this with both parties.”

“If your support is unwavering loyalty, that’s a different thing,” he added. “You should be able to say, ‘I disagree with them, but I still support them because I think they are better for the nation as a whole.’”

Some church leaders have voiced harsh criticism for Evangelicals for Harris, specifically noting Harris’s positions on abortion and LGBTQ+ issues. Denny Burk, president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, took issue with the group’s description of the vice president as a “deeply committed and faithful Christian.”

“This isn’t evangelical. It’s not even Christian. Don’t fall for it,” he said.

Pastor Darrell B. Harrison expressed a similar view: “Harris, taking into account her own words, is, at best, a moralist-humanist-globalist and, at worst, a religious syncretist-pluralist.

Being a good Christian with the Crime and Migrant issue in Europe.

I need perspective on this please.

In the past year, I've opened my heart to the Lord. It's objectively made my life better and I have Jesus to thank for that.

Although this seems to be a particularly political issue, it's been well documented that like the US, Europe is facing it's own issues in terms of mass immigration and rising crime.

For a long time, I was indifferent to immigration, after all my own Mother was an immigrant. In the past few years, I've witnessed the consequences that unchecked immigration brings and the affect that has on local crime. It bothers me because the political establishment wants you to believe we live in some sort of melting pot utopia and the police are limited as to what they can do. They practically have to wait until something tragic has happened, to even make a statement.

As a family man, I fear for my children's future. As a relatively new Christian, I'm seeking guidance in how I can keep my heart from hate. In the past, I realised in myself how I was beginning to hate others I didn't know just based on the assumption that they're immigrants, I know that's wrong but it's a survival mechanism at the end of the day. In any case, I pulled away from that and politics in general.

What can I look to in the Bible that will keep me level headed in these uncertain times?

What is your stance on Churches inviting and praying with LGBT?

I live near Hoboken, NJ, and recently, a Pride Mass at a local Catholic church stirred a lot of controversy among Catholics.

Personally, I’m politically independent and prefer to assess situations based on context, not ideology. I find both far-left and far-right views often extreme, especially when they enter spaces like churches. Churches should be places of refuge and hope, not political battlegrounds.

That said, I don’t understand why some Christians react so angrily to churches welcoming LGBT individuals. If the goal is to help people find God, isn’t the church precisely where they should be? Who are we to deny anyone the chance to seek faith? If a person struggling with their sexuality is willing to explore a relationship with God—even if they’ve been told He hates them—shouldn’t that be encouraged?

We see churches accepting people with various sins, yet some react harshly to LGBT individuals. Unless a church explicitly endorses actions contrary to its teachings, why object to them extending a hand to those searching for God?

Trump Insults Veterans Again

“Miriam, I watched (Sheldon Adelson, her late husband) sitting so proud in the White House when we gave Miriam the Presidential Medal of Freedom. That’s the highest award you can get as a civilian, it’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version. It’s actually much better, because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor – that’s soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets, or they’re dead,” Trump said.

“She gets it and she’s a healthy, beautiful woman, and they’re rated equal,”

Does Vance understand what pro-family means?

I heard excerpts from a recent Vance speech. It seemed naive and out of touch.
Children are a blessing. I had three myself. But we can't just "encourage" without addressing certain factors.
Like family and medical leave (implemented by Walz in Minnesota).
Doubling the child tax credit which temporarily cut child poverty by half.
Affordable daycare and after-school care
Safe schools and serious steps to prevent school shootings
Business policies like flexible hours, telecommuting, etc.
Most of these ideas have been vetoed over and over by Republicans.

Lying in politics to save lives from being aborted: acceptable?

An argument I’ve heard Christians is “if you lived in the Holocaust, it’s morally justified to lie about keeping Jews in the attic.” (In case police investigate.)

So I have a thought experiment. Trump is Republican, which is the pro life party. If trump were to campaign and say “I’m not banning the abortion pill”, or “I’m not setting a 15 week ban it’s all up to the states”

And then he wins and in office, starts becoming strict on abortion, is that a sin? He would have lied to get in office, but it would result in less abortion.

So what’s the verdict?

G7 Ambassadors Boycotted Nagasaki Memorial for Israel

Recently Nagasaki just commemorated its 79th annual event of the bombing of the city. Being a deeply tragic event many nations were invited to participate in the memorial. By tradition all nations that have an embassy in Japan will be invited. And this year 3 nations were left out; Russia, Belarus & Israel. The other G7 ambassadors opted to boycott the memorial because of Israel's exclusion. This much is said officially by these nations. It was all for Israel's optics. The US ambassador even have the gall to said Shiro Suzuki the mayor of Nagasaki is politicizing the event.

I find this very hypocritical from the other nations of G7. They can't divorce themselves from Israel-Gaza conflict for even one day just to commemorate this event with one of their staunchest ally in East Asia. But they have no problem making appearances in other more contentious events such as going to Ukraine or Israel to show solidarity.

It is not hard to see that the Japanese do not want their event to be marred by protests and unwanted disruptions. It is a solemn day for them. It is no secret that activists hijack important events to bolster their own causes. Nagasaki mayor didn't want to deal with such "distractions" and said as much.

Suzuki told reporters that the city had put the decision on hold to ensure the safety of participants and smooth proceedings at the ceremony, given the risk of unexpected incidents and other factors.

Now we know who the other G7 value more in their diplomatic relations and it is not Japan. It is Israel above all even a simple concession for a memorial is asking too much.

Baffling since Japan compared to Israel has caused far way less diplomatic issues and provided US with more economic benefits than many nations - being the single largest holder of US treasury bonds. Not to mention after being stabbed in the back with the Plaza Accords (that started the lost decades), Japan stood by the US and the G7 on majority of their international positions. The US and other G7 don't value Japan as a true friend.

From Beginning to End

Written on August 12, 2024: I have been a little under the weather today and I am very tired. We had no plans for today, so I have been resting up a bit. When I was up for a little while, and my husband and I were talking, the subject somehow went to the songs that the Lord had given me to write, and I mentioned how I had listened to one today that I had totally forgotten existed, for I don’t take the time to go back and listen to them anymore. So he encouraged me that I should do that. So as I was resting, I began listening to those songs.

All of a sudden, I recognized that I was listening to the very first song that the Lord had given me to write on April 6, 2011. Now, before he gave me this song to write, I had not really written songs other than whatever I had to write in one of my music classes in high school and college, and other than me putting a tune to a poem that I had written back in the 1980s. Yet, my husband had been encouraging me for years to write my own songs, but I kept telling him that it was not my gift, which at that time it definitely was not.

Then, on April 6, 2011, all of a sudden I had a tune in my head and I knew that I was to write it down, so I did. And then I asked the Lord for words, and he gave me the words to go with the tune, but just one verse. Later in the day I asked him if he had more words, and he gave me the second verse. Now it had been 40 years since I had last studied music, and I really had no clue what to do with this song or how to communicate it with others, or who I could get to sing it, for I had not really sung much at all for maybe 2 years.

Long story short, I ended up singing all but one of them, because I had no one else to sing them, and I needed to be able to share them, although my voice had certainly met better days. My husband sang with me in a few of them and our daughter sang one of them. But I had to learn how to write them in a format to where they could be recorded, and I had to learn how to record them and then how to share them with others, and that was a long process of learning all sorts of things I had no clue how to do previously. But with the help of my husband and some of my children and two in-law children I learned what I needed. And it was the Lord who strengthened and helped me all throughout this process or I would have never survived it all.

Now, back to the beginning. I was listening to these songs today when the very first song the Lord had given me to write began to play, “Gracious Father.” And the day that he gave me that song I was thrilled beyond measure that he had given me just that one song, for that was a miracle of God! But now back to today, the song that came next I recognized as the very last song the Lord had me write, “When I Was Walking,” dated January 16, 2020.

And as I thought about that for a moment, I realized that he had just taken me “from beginning to end” with just those two songs (a total of 185). For he was showing me the first and the last, the beginning and the end, who is God. He was showing me God, in other words, because all of these songs which were written were not written by me, in reality, but by God, and then he just shared them with me for me to share with others for their encouragement. And he gave me all the tools I needed to do his work.

“I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!— I beg of you that when I am present I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of walking according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” (2 Corinthians 10:1-6 ESV)

And then I went to where I had left off last in my reading of 2 Corinthians, and the above passage of Scripture is what came next, perfectly in tune with what the Lord had just given me to share with all of you. For what the Lord was having me share with you, prior to me reading this passage, was that the ministry of song writing that he gave to me was from him and not from my human flesh, and I can definitely attest to that. Certainly I had to participate in the process, but it was all under the direction of the Lord.

And that is how it should be for all of us who are ministers for the Lord Jesus and for his gospel message. Not one of us should be operating in our own flesh, doing whatever we decide to do, but we should all be led of the Holy Spirit and we should speak or write or sing or whatever he has us doing as we are inspired and guided by the Spirit of God living within us so that we are giving out His messages and not our own. Again, we still have to do the work, and we still have to participate in the process, but by the Spirit of God.

And, yes, all of us who are doing the work of the ministry, under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, will face criticism and false judgments from other people, some of whom may accuse us of operating in the flesh and/or of promoting our own flesh. But we can’t let the opinions of other people affect what we do in love response to our Lord Jesus and in obedience to his calling upon our lives. I have to write and publish each day whatever the Lord gives me to share, regardless of how others respond.

When I Was Walking

An Original Work / January 16, 2020

When I was walking along the way,
My Lord was with me, and He did say,
“My child I’m with you. I hear you pray,
‘Oh, help me, Lord! Need You today!’”

He is my friend, near to the end.
Gently leads me. His servant be.
He helps me pray – knows what to say.
He’s all I need. On Him I feed.

When I am wond’ring of what to do,
He gently leads me to what is truth.
He is my helper. He strengthens me.
When I’m in want, supplies my need.

He comforts me with all His love.
Gives me His grace from heav’n above.
I heed His call to watch and pray,
To guard my heart throughout each day.

When He is calling to come to Him,
To let Him lead you, trust Him within,
How will you answer to Him today?
Will you say, “Yes, Lord, have your way”?

Do not neglect to let Him in,
Cleanse you from sin, made new within.
Leave all your sin, obey your Lord,
Trust in His Word – His mighty Sword.

Trump upset with campaign handlers

Too many family members in the Trump campaign. He needs someone to keep him on message, instead of complaining about what Kamala/ Biden/ the media are doing/ not doing.

It WAS his election to lose.

Question about fighting in marriage

Hi everyone!

This is a short and simple question. For someone like me I hate arguing and belittling back and forth with someone.I hate it when someone is angry or upset with me.
I’ve grown up through my adolescence solemnly promising to love my future wife so much i wouldn’t want to hurt her emotionally,psychologically,spiritually,and/oe physically.

My father has always been a man with a temper, and as long as I can remember he has numerous times lost his temper, cussed, screamed, berated, and even broke things. He has made my mom cry a lot of times, but nothing ever physical or substance-induced

Being a guy seeing my own father upset my mother to the point she cries breaks my heart,so I told myself one day many years ago,I would “never even raise my voice at my wife ever for any reason”
I hate arguing and considering how much I wish to cherish my wife affectionately and passionately I don’t want to hurt or belittle her with arguing

Unfortunately all the sources I read stats healthy marriages have arguments or disagreements, and ones that don’t often end in divorce and I don’t want that.

What’s your perspectives everyone?

I dont like the idea of arguing with my beloved wife, but if my marriage in the future is to be healthy,do I have to have disagreements?

Tim Walz’s 2006 campaign falsely described details about his arrest for drunk driving in 1995

But in 2006, his campaign repeatedly told the press that he had not been drinking that night, claiming that his failed field sobriety test was due to a misunderstanding related to hearing loss from his time in the National Guard. The campaign also claimed that Walz was allowed to drive himself to jail that night.

None of that was true.

Don’t Buy The Hype: Kamala Has BIG Problems

Harris campaign spokesman Michael Tyler was asked on CNN whether Harris would commit to a press conference before the end of the month. He actually laughed, then replied, “We will commit to directly engage with the voters that are actually going to decide this election. … We are running a campaign that is built to communicate with the voters that are actually going to decide the pathway to 270 electoral votes. We are confident in the plan that we have in place, and we’re going to execute on that plan.”

What he means by “we are confident in the plan” is that she is not going to answer any questions. None. She will not be out in public answering questions. Hide her. Stow her. Make sure she never says anything.

Because here’s the truth: Kamala Harris is not smart. The truth is, the minute you get her off the teleprompter, she is a mess of a human being

Ten Kingdoms In The End Times

I do not believe this has been discussed. So I thought I would pose the question that got me thinking.

Daniel and Revelation talks about ten kingdoms. There's been a lot of debate about what the ten kingdoms might be. Is it talking about the whole world? If it is, how could it be with only seven continents? Would some some of the continents like Europe and Asian be broken up?

So what could Daniel and Revelation be referring to when it talks about ten kingdoms in the last days?"

Harris to Call for Construction of 3 Million New Homes, $25K Down Payment Support for 1st Time Homeowners

Vice President Harris is set to announce a plan to lower housing costs and end the housing shortage through the construction of new units and down payment support to first-time homebuyers, according to Harris-Walz campaign officials.

Harris’s “urgent and comprehensive four-year plan” will call for constructing 3 million new housing units, a tax incentive for homebuilders to construct “starter homes” to sell to first-time homebuyers and a $40 billion innovation fund for local governments to build housing.

The plan would also include $25,000 in down payment support for first-time homeowners.

A teen was falling asleep during a courtroom field trip. She ended up in cuffs and jail clothes

DETROIT (AP) — A teenager on a field trip to see a Detroit court ended up in jail clothes and handcuffs because a judge said he didn’t like her attitude.
Judge Kenneth King even asked other kids in the courtroom Tuesday whether the 16-year-old girl should be taken to juvenile detention, WXYZ-TV reported.
King, who works at 36th District Court, defended his actions.
“I wanted this to look and feel very real to her, even though there’s probably no real chance of me putting her in jail. That was my own version of ‘Scared Straight,’” King said, referring to a documentary about teen offenders in New Jersey.
The teen was seeing King’s court as part of a visit organized by The Greening of Detroit, a nonprofit environmental group. During the visit, King noticed the girl falling asleep, WXYZ reported.
“You fall asleep in my courtroom one more time, I’m gonna put you in back, understood?” the judge said, according to video of his remarks.

What to do

I am seeing a show in a couple weeks and one of my family members purchased the tickets for me. I know I should have researched the show before hand but the tickets were bought in a rush and I did not have time to do some research. Some people that I know have seen the show before that are christian and had no issues with it. I was researching more about it and saw some unbiblical themes like the repeated use of profanity. Im not sure what to do. If God is telling me not go to this I do not want to but I cant afford to pay the person back for the ticket they got me. What should I do in this situation?
