First of all do you believe that at least some of the gas/food shortage is planned? and second why I am posting it here do you feel that if republicans get in office things will/would be different?

No of course not. Bumping up the prices and controlling demand is built into a capitalist society.

Republicans and most Democrats are just as guilty of fostering this to feather their nests.

Certainly the gas price increases were planned, the idea is to make it to expensive to drive a gasoline powered car so that everyone switches to electric. Note Joe's reaction, he is well aware that people will have to suffer higher prices at the pump, this is not a burden for the Washington elite. Obviously it's the same at the border, pretend the border is secure but let through as many potential voters for Democrats as you can. Now as to sky high inflation, how many of them don't care and how many are simply incompetent we don't know, it's probably a mix. Those who are incompetent probably didn't realize how many products use oil and how much the transportation of goods is dependent upon the price of fossil fuels.

Yes .....and .....Yes
And if those were the only two thing planned that we were dealing with ....it could be doable....but it's not.
You could attempt to chalk this up as incompetence ....but that would be too generous.

Not you and I, but if nothing better, whether recycling oil or an energy source is found for future centuries and if Our Lord has not yet come to judge us then you would be right. That is true also for electric cars, we will have to survive the pollution of strip mining and we only have a finite amount of time before the the elements for batteries run out.

The anti-American forces are strong within the administration, call them the hard left or neo-Marxists. They hit our economy and indoctrinate our children.
but if there are enough Republicans in office it will be harder to get that through. They are already tight in both houses.

There are plenty of establishment Republicans, and a lot of damage has already been inflicted.
