The problem is, that few people take the Word seriously. Some are even Christians. They accept what they like and the other stuff, not so much.

No wonder our country is in sad shape.

Some people think God will never rise and act. The liberals think this, apparently. They likely think something like this: Well, we've been aborting babies (oops, I mean supporting Reproductive health"care") and allowing criminals to run rampant for so long now and God hasn't punished us, so why should we stop?

And you can barely blame them for thinking that because sometimes we do wonder why God seems to be asleep at the wheel. But does that mean He will always "fail to act"? In the Old T He didn't fail to act. And God does not change. He just gives us longer to repent, maybe.. ?

This country, from its inception, had an economy built on the backs of slaves, and over its history committed genocide against the diverse nations of people who had lived in this land for millennia.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

Yet God has destroyed nations, states, and cities that were corrupt, so that doesn't mean those governments are good. They may be left in place so that their people might be destroyed. I don't doubt the US is getting the representation we deserve, but we need to turn from our evil lest we be destroyed.

So this is what I think, that God is very disgusted and has lost his patience. Maybe this is why he allowed a senile and easily manipulated (no core values) person to "lead" this counry... into Hell.

While perhaps not "senile" during 2016 - 2020, there is every reason to be concerned about the soundness of Mr. Trump's mind now. To wit (from Newsweek):

So maybe some of the people crossing the border are like those children and their families; they want a better life. I am all for that.

I do send money to other countries like the aforementioned, but I could probably send more. But I am still against an open border. Let those people come LEGALLY.

I see that you love helping the poor in poor countries, but you also want them to come legally in a rich country like USA.

You contradicted yourself with that statement that's never going to happen as if you're saying you never want to see poor people from other countries entering USA.

Because the only way for people from poor countries to enter USA legally is they cannot be poor or they be have highly marketable skill in USA which will most likely give them a good life at some point anyway.

A poor person in a poor country with no marketable skill have no hope of entering USA legally except as refugee and that's something that doesn't happen often.

It's stated in USA immigration requirement that someone from a poor country must be able to financially support themselves while in USA and that amount is absolutely not affordable by a poor person.

I would think that many Americans, not just the politicians also do not care about anything except their own money.

Every time I talk about verses in the Bible about helping the poor, they resort to folly and many would say "mind your own business" or "no one can tell how we spend our money" or "why aren't you helping the poor yourself", ruin the discussion and these are Christians.

Jesus told us how we should spend our money. The vast majority of Christians don't do it because they care more about their money more than they care about what Jesus thinks. You cannot love both. You will love one and hate the other. If you love money, you'll find it despicable to help anyone who needed money, you'll despise/avoid people who are needy of money such as the poor, and lastly, you'll hate Jesus and will ignore many of His teachings, especially His teachings about money.

We know that God judges nations, and did not exempt Israel from His wrath. How, then, can we say America gets a pass? And since our leaders are those we chose, how can we say the fault rests with them and not us? It's worth noting that the US doesn't seemed to be mentioned in end-time prophesy, and the reason why may be happening all around us.

Although you're right we're all at fault if God is angry at the world, it's not entirely our fault for choosing the wrong leaders.

All our leaders come from the same mold. The media, politics, government, and the business world (the system, the world) doesn't become friendly with you unless you fit a certain personality profile or code of ethics/morality (John 15:19)

All political candidates are evil so whoever ends up voted even if he or she is the best possible candidate would still be evil so if the country ends up with an evil candidate, it's still not entirely the people's fault why they vote evil leaders. The only fault of the people is being evil themselves so they do deserve evil leaders.
