Well, I have seen much injustice in my many years on Planet E

MUCH injustice. So part of me is hardly surprised at all the disgusting politically-motivated antics of Trump's enemies trying to get him by distorting the law and violating his rights.

But as a Catholic Christian, I also see other things... if you are anti-Catholic, you should probably hold your peace because I am not in the mood to defend Catholicism here, to speak of.

But I sometimes believe that Trump is "paying for the sins of his youth (and not- so- youth)." I sometimes believe that God allows good people to go through these things because they need to be purified (made ready for Heaven), which usually happens through suffering (Ask Jesus about that one). Purgatory is said to be painful, so, as the Saints say, it is better to be purified (do your purgation) here on E rather than after death.

Even though I haven't run this idea by any clergy from my or any other church, well, I think this is a good possibility.

The bad people? I think God lets them get away with all manner of evil because He knows where they are headed if they do not repent. And the more entrenched you are in your sin (lawlessness, sexual debauchery, promoting abortion... etc), the less likely it is you ever WILL repent. Sad but true...

In any case, the Word says, God "prunes" and chastises those He

what?

Those He loves

From a non-Catholic site:

[According to the] Catechism of the Catholic Church purgatory is the belief that:

“All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of Heaven.”

Then this non- Catholic goes on to criticize the believe in Purgatory, but in any case, probably gets the Catechism on this topic right

I would just add that it is taught by (some) Catholic clergy that it is best to undergo this purgation process on Earth

Interesting. I was thinking of exactly the same thing driving around today.

There is a term for people who get away with everything--no matter how heinous, no matter how often, no matter how absolutely morally culpable they are to most people. "The Teflon Man." And Trump is the best example of the Teflon Man I've ever seen. Yes, he has been certified as a fraud, a tax cheat, a sexual assailant, the promoter of a fake university which bilked students of over $25 million--all in unanimous verdicts, but compared to the things he has astonishingly managed to escape accountability for--two impeachments, four trials with 91 indictments, only one proceeding with the others buried by complicit judges (Cannon) and all the motions and postponements $50 million of other people's campaign contributions can buy--he has led a charmed life.

And then I remembered a movie I saw in 2019. "Dark Water." About Dupont's teflon manufacturing releasing PFOA's, exposing whole towns to kidney, ovarian, bladder, testicular, and prostate cancers. While teflon was successfully sold to hundreds of millions, at its core was PFOA causing cancer and death.

And it occurred to me that that is what Teflon Men are like. Sailing through life, getting away with the most egregious crimes, and all the while being filled with PFOA's which, when leaked, destroy the life and health of a community.

Or a nation.

Is Teflon a metaphor for "teflon men?" Is Mr. Trump a teflon man? That's up to you to decide. I think he's a pretty good example.

Jesus used parables as an aid to understanding and enlightenment.
A metaphor serves the same purpose.
Oh, is that what it was?

I didn't read it.

I like reading things that make sense to me and anti-Trumpers... nuf said

As disgusting filthy dirty as stormy is, I am surprised he is not sick. I am sure Trump is paying for his wild fling. I can not image anyone wanted to even look at that filth porn that she "stared" in. I am not claiming to be any better. The door does swing two ways and people need to be accountable to the same degree that they are holding others people like Trump accountable for his sins. As Jesus said: "Let him that is without sin thrown the first stone."

They have accomplished their objective to mock trump and make a public spectacle out of him. They should not be surprised when the day comes that they are treated the same way they treat others.

Reminds me of the "Scarlet Letter” a novel written by Nathaniel Hawthorne and published in 1850. It is considered a masterpiece of American literature and a classic moral study. Here’s a summary of the story:

  • The novel is set in a village in Puritan New England during the 17th century.
  • The main character is Hester Prynne, a young woman who has borne a child out of wedlock.
  • Hester believes herself a widow, but her husband, Roger Chillingworth, arrives in New England very much alive and conceals his identity.
  • As punishment for her adultery, Hester is forced to wear the scarlet letter A on her dress.

Innocent until proven guilty. It has not been proven. BOTH Trump and "stormy" have DENIED it

ANd then she didn't deny it

Then she did

and well... She was a total WASTE of the court's time and the taxpayers' money as a (choke) witness.

Then again, she was, despite being a prosecutor witness (LOL) a good Trump witness

The porn she puts on the internet is filthy, vile and disgusting. I would not touch her with a 10 foot pole and Trump is a fool for playing with her. I am not saying I live a sin free life, but I would not want to go that low.

Her testimony is not necessary to prove the case. The more mundane financial and documentary evidence is what proves the case. Daniels provides the context.
What case? She is the one that should be on trial. Blackmail is still against the law as far as I know. Of course in this day and age of rampant payola things maybe different from the way they were in the pre clinton days.

He offered it willingly to deceive his voters about his sexual deviance.
People know now that he likes to play with filthy, vile and disgusting women. Women that do porn are not really even a step up from the women out working the streets with her pimp watching all the time. I have heard that God can rescue, save, heal and deliver people from all of that. Maybe that goes along with the white house. I have heard about the desk they have in the oval office.

WHAT?

Where is the proof he had intercourse w/ stormy?

There is none. He has not been convicted of that (it's not a crime, but it is a sin obviously).

BOTH of them have denied it.

Of course one of them keeps changing her story!

so that's telling (to say the least)

I think a lot is being exposed through Trump. This country has alot of people serious about Communism, Anarchy etc. They do not like our democracy at all.

What democracy?

We see what's going on with OUR chosen leader. What is happening to Trump is really happening to AMERICA, to every single one of us, even the Ds who don't like him. They won't like where this thing might lead... a loss of more rights/freedoms

They hate him more than they love the country, apparently.

They want power at all costs. It's pretty bad. Which communist leader said "we will take over without firing a shot"? They would do through our education system of our children. They have been at this for years.

The evidence is the locker room conversation he had when he did not know his mic was on.

If he did not do it than why did he pay her a bribe? Anyways, you make a point that we should consider.
