as long as it goes with Scripture. Thanks
Thank youGod shows us things in all kinds of ways. Some might call it providence but often there is an element of some some spiritual gift that confirms or lifts us up at a critical time, prepares us for a time that is coming, or gives us an understanding of something from the past.
Yes I'm sure they could. For example a word of encouragement from another believer at the right time, a word in season can do a lot of good. Where it can be a supernatural act is when the Holy Spirit stirs someone to give exactly the right word of encouragement at precisely the right time.as long as it goes with Scripture. Thanks
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 2 Peter 1:19Could a born again Christian give me a prophetic word?
We're all happy that your business and marriage is thriving, Yet first understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of any personal or private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20-21Don't expect all prophetic words to be related to or fact checked by scripture. I have had countless words and visions related to real life, where the Lord is giving direction or encouragement. Insisting as many do, that prophecy conforms to scripture serves only to exclude a whole area of wisdom that the Lord would let loose among his children...
I have lost track of the thousands of times the Lord has interfered in my life and business and marriage with encouragement or direction.
The idea that God should just stick to scripture is arrogant nonsense.
2 Timothy 3:as long as it goes with Scripture. Thanks

Examples-
1) Since the 1970s, we have sold up and moved house 10 times, and each time the Lord gave direction or vividly confirmed the move.
2) The Lord gave me revelation for the creation of a new untried business. It became hugely successful.
3) Following the above business venture, the Lord kept revealing more and more business ideas, including the patenting of a leading product on the market.
4) When driving late at night in a drizzle, the Lord whispered in my ear to "Pull back, pull back, pull back!" I immediately understood and took my foot off and covered the brake. Suddenly a huge black cow leapt through the hedge so close I had no chance to avoid it. However I was now driving at about 15mph instead of the previous 60mph. Had I not listened, I would have been killed.
5) The Lord revealed my wife to me, and that was confirmed by a word from another prophet.
6) In my business, we had serious problems with a complex machine that kept breaking down. One day when I was engaged in something else, the Lord gave me an open vision of a peculiar shaped piece of metal, and I instantly knew what it was for. I made that article and fitted it to the failing machine and not only did it work better than ever, but it was a design improvement that stopped it breaking down ever again.
And many many more.
I have lost track of the thousands of times the Lord has interfered in my life and business and marriage with encouragement or direction. The idea that God should just stick to scripture is arrogant nonsense.
When He has come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The bigger issue is whether or not someone would act or change their behavior based on that word.
The willingness to receive correction is essential to a healthy relationship with the Lord. When is the last time you witnessed someone receiving a rebuke in front of everyone? As it goes with scripture!
1 Timothy 5:20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.
Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and2 Timothy 4: I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season...
I wish I could be experiencing that too. I mean, I have a few times, mostly little things. But I'm nearly 57 and I feel like much of my life is such a mess. This is what every Christian should be experiencing.

For me, I was introduced to Jesus in a powerful way the day of my rebirth. What I think keeps things alive is honesty. How honest and truthful I am to Him. Also the amount of time I devote to not just asking for things, but just sharing my thoughts with Him. Saying sorry where I need to, etc.
