The death I was talking about was very clearly not talking about plant life.

We have the remains of many people that died before Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Adam was the first food producer and the beginning of civilization. There are more beginning with Adam than we could ever know. Adam had the breath of life.

If you want to talk about death, lets talk about all the people alive today that would not be alive without science. In the city you live half the people would not be there. They would not even have survived childhood diseases. My brother has actually done medical missionary work in third world nations so he has seen the death and destruction there is when people do not have science.

Doctors do not call themselves scientist's but science molds and shapes who they are and what they do. Even it is perfectly acceptable to use the scientific method to read, study and understand our Bible. Hermeneutics can be rigorous and systematic in its approach, and it may incorporate insights from various fields such as linguistics, literary theory, philosophy, anthropology, and psychology. It aims to provide a framework for understanding how texts communicate meaning and how interpretations can be validly derived from them.

I suggest to remove science from your understanding of the Bible is a violation of the Rules of Hermeneutics that incorporate insight from Science in our understanding of our Bible.

As I said, if you study Hebrew death means to return to the primitive state the earth was in on the day one. In the beginning a day was 8 billion years when God created a second day. Each day was half the length of the day before it. If you go by that, then science will line up with the Bible.

When atheist evolutionists, when agnostic evolutionists, and even when theistic evolutionists contradicts the Scriptures, I will always continue to stand with the multiple passages of the Bible which shows that YEC is correct and true by comparison to OEC. Also, there are Christian scientists who have repeatedly presented scientific evidence and research which demonstrates the evidence for young earth creationism.

The pastor at the Methodist church and I did not agree on what Wesley said about Holiness. We did end up going to a different Methodist church though. They do tend to prosper and they are happy. Whatever the Method is, it seems to work for them. I think it is more to love one another and not to be judgmental.

So lets assume a day so roughly 24 hours when did this week of 24 hours take place. GAP says there was a gap of time between genesis chapter one and genesis chapter two.

Why would God need a week when He created everything in an instant in the beginning. It takes a lot of mental gymnastics to claim that all of time and all of natural history took place in 7 24 hour days.

I thought GAP taught there was a gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, not the chapters?

I just had this discussion with someone last Sunday who believes in GAP. He claimed Genesis 1:28 proves it.
"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Because it says "replenish" - but that's an old English word for plenish. The Hebrew word מלא "mela" or "mele" simply means "fill" or to plenish, not RE plenish. That's the word that was translated to "replenish" in 1611.

There are some rules to interpret Scriptures which are logical for me to use. One of those rules is to ask, "Who was the audience that a passage of Scripture written for?" In other words, for the Book of Genesis chapters 1-3, did Jehovah and Moses expect the people of Israel to interpret Creation taking place over billions and millions of years? Or would the LORD God and Moses expect the people of Israel to believe the exact literal meaning of an evening and a morning for each of the 6 days of Creation?
