That is a denial of bond, not a ruling that he guilty of being a gang member.
A bond denial that was based on credible evidence that Garcia was an MS-13 gang member. So I don't want to hear anymore nonsense about how there is no evidence that Garcia in a gang or was ever connected to any gang.

An interesting side effect of this case is the impact it's having on tourism, with a high percentage of potential tourists citing the possibility of being detained at the border and shipped to a third world country without trial.

So far estimates are that tourism income for the US will be down around $90 Billion this year, which, for context, is equivalent to the entire US federal education budget (presumably pre-DOGE idiocy). So even if 1/100th of that is due to this case, it's still cost the US almost $1 billion.

Sure hope you guys think it's worth it.

His gang membership has been proven based on the preponderance of evidence in a court of law.
The narrative seems to be shifting.

OK. So to bring this full circle. Since there is an informant somewhere who is willing to claim they know his gang name and rank you are OK with ignoring the SCOTUS directive to bring him back to the US and give him due process with a full trial?

This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back to the United States, because he is such “a fine and innocent person.” They said he is not a member of MS-13, even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles, and two Highly Respected Courts found that he was a member of MS-13, beat up his wife, etc. I was elected to take bad people out of the United States, among other things. I must be allowed to do my job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

My SIL (wife’s brother’s wife) is Chinese. She’s been in the US for close to 10 years, has an MBA from a top-10 US program, an American husband, two American kids, and whatever work visas are necessary to work in FAANG+, i.e. the exact sort of immigrant you’d want here; and we all think they’re nuts for wanting to go back to China in a few months to introduce her family to the new baby.

He can get his due process in El Salvador. If El Salvador wishes to release the wife beater back to the united states, Trump will send a C-17 to pick him up.

Still only the unreliable word of a Trump. This could be proven in court by experts instead.

he Didn’t arrive under Biden, but regardless, due process for the accusations and potential deportation still apply.

All citizens should hold due process for all as a priority lest they find themselves accused and sentenced or wrongfully deported to death prison without opportunity to defend themselves.

Two courts have found that he is a member of MS-13.
As I understand it he was under an order from a judge which said he couldn't be deported to El Salvador because of danger from a rival gang. He could have been deported to another country though.
So deporting him to El Salvador was wrong but I'm not sure how you correct it.
El Salvador says he's a citizen and they're not sending him back.
