You’re right. The MS13 was printed on the photograph above the tattoos.
yes I get that, so it's just nonsense that it refers to ms13, as there is no way it would do so, as it would make no sense.

It turns out the tattoos are marijuana, smile, cross, skull,
marijuana and smile for MS and the claim is that the cross is covering up the one and the skull is covering up the three. So it’s not conclusive
yeah.......thats just stupid all offense, but half coded, half actual numbers, nice try. And not even that the closest you have is 1, but could be an I too, or gasp a T!!!maybe he's a mystery science theater 3k fan!!!!. Trump gets this nonsense from a conspiracy guy and you bozo's completly eat it up. And I would like to see where the three is in the skull, I looked at it, nothing there, and where is the M and S in marijuana and smilie? And if coded see above.

No US court, not even the Supreme Court can dictate what El Salvador must do. They say that he is a citizen and they are not deporting him the last I heard
I don't care about El Salvador. I care about our president and his complete abdication of responsibility in this case. I al;so care about those who claim to be "law and order republicans" who utterly ignoring the law.

MS13 would tell the liberals, "No veo ninguna evidencia. No escucho ninguna evidencia. No digo ninguna evidencia."

Translated: "See no evidence. Hear no evidence. Speak no evidence."

Why would he care about a wife beating terrorist? And whether you like it or not, the law is on Trump's side. As powerful as the US president is, it is not within the power of the SCOTUS to force foreign policy and diplomacy. Meaning that Justice Sotomayor cannot force El Salvador to send the wife beater back to the US, but she can force Trump to accept the wife beater back. El Salvador has to offer the wife beater to the US, and Trump's only obligation to SCOTUS is to facilitate the return. As of yet, El Salvador wants to keep the terrorist wife beater behind bars.

@BPPLEE this is why I nolonger waste my time providing evidence. They ask for evidence, but what they really want is an excuse to argue. Just cut your losses.

Oh, who to believe, you or the unanimous decision of the SCOTUS and multiple other courts? They even cite precedence. Funny that.

But please, tell us more about how there is this magic loop hole where the president of the United States just gets to disappear people to other countries despite court orders and you find that perfectly acceptable.

The administration's plan here is actually quite clever. If they get away with doing this, then they have established they can do the following:
* have ICE detain a person
* get them on a plane leaving the country before any judges have a chance to rule on the legality
* if/when the courts say that it is illegal, just claim "Administrative error. Too late now - oopsie daisy!"

They can disappear anyone they want with this approach.

To folks who are okay with what our government did in this case, I have a few questions.

1. How many times are you willing to give the administration a pass to do this?

2. What is an acceptable 'administrative error' rate?

3. Would you trust AOC or <insert name of who you think is the scariest politician here> with that power? Because if this administration is allowed to have this power, then every subsequent administration will also have this power.

Trump has asked El Salvador to build 5 more of the mega prisons for him to fill. If he is allowed to have a 1% 'administrative error' rate then Trump gets to disappear 2,000 people of his chosing.

I trust no person or administration with this kind of power. This tactic is brilliant, but bone-chilling.

If Abrego Garcia gets his day in court and he is deported, I am fine with that. But he should get his day in court. Denying him that is paving the way for this administration, and any subsequent administration, to do exactly what I outlined above.

How about.
1. Person enters US illegally.
2. Person is subject to deportation for violating immigration laws.
3. They are sent to their own country, and that country can does whatever they wish with their citizens in their own jurisdiction.

So you are okay giving this and all future administrations this power, because you trust that such power will never be abused.

That is your prerogative.

I do not trust any government with that power. It is the power of a dictatorship.

I see you are choosing to ignore how it violated a court order to send him to El Salvador, and that a judge ordered the planes to turn around while they were in the air.

The course of action I outlined could be used against anyone. Even a citizen.

Either we are a nation of laws that are followed in the process of deporting people, or we are a nation where the government can do anything it wants regardless of the law.

You clearly are fine with this and all subsequent administrations violating the law. I am not.

I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this one.

[oops I see this has already been addressed adequately]

The "MS13" is not part of the tattoo, it is a proposed translation of the imagery asserted to be on Abrego Garcia's hand.
marijuana smile = MS.

Following criticism that the deportation of Abrego Garcia was unlawful, Trump posted an image of himself in the Oval Office, holding a picture that the White House said was of Abrego Garcia's hands.

In the image, the left hand has knuckle tattoos of a marijuana leaf, a smiley face, a cross, and a skull, which the Trump administration says are symbols for "M", "S", "1", and "3," respectively. Newsweek was unable to verify these claims.
