The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. pain is normal to me

Do you have regular pain in your body? I have recently hurt my shoulder, and the pain often gets to me. I am a person who believes God for healing, and when I don't get healed straight up, the enemy often tries to tell me I am cursed, or God hates me.
But God is good regardless of whether we are sick or well. Elisha a faithful servant of God died of a sickness:
2Ki 13:14 Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. ...
but when a dead man was thrown in his tomb the dead man was revived.
2Ki 13:21 So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.
When you have faith in Jesus His Spirit dwells in you, and you can powerfully effect your world. It would be good to be healed, and I pray that you are, but God is at work in us.

I think as people get older pain is a part of life. I have lived with chronic pain since I was a teen. I try not to let it rule me though much of my time is on pain or management of pain or avoiding situations that will make it worse.
But I refuse to let it rule in the sense that it stops me doing stuff I like to do. Within limits of course. But there is always something to do. To reinvent yourself or find something that is suitable.
