A review of what the New Testament says about the Great Babylon

The word for wilderness means "solitary, lonely, desolate, uninhabited". At the time of John North America was a wilderness. In Greek it is "eremos". The meaning is lonesome. If you are talking about a lonesome place near Israel you are talking about desert, but if you are carried away in Spirit to a "lonesome" place it could easily be a reference to North America.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns".

John is taken into the DESERT to see the judgment of the great harlot. Rome does NOT reside in the desert, Mecca and Medina do.

...and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast,
The words, 'sit upon' mean to OCCUPY indicating this beast is dominated by the harlot religion of Islam which has been called a 'desert religion'.


NAMES FULL OF BLASPHEMY

There's also an anti-Christ monument that 'sits upon' God's 'Holy Place' (Mount Moriah) the Dome of the Rock.

Around the octagonal structure of the Dome of the Rock is a long classical Arabic inscription that says that God has no begotten son, thus denying that Jesus is the Son of God.

Inscriptions on the octagonal structure of the Dome are anti-Christ. They say.
- There is no God but Allah.
- God has no son; He begetteth not.
- God taketh not unto Himself a son.
- God has no associate.
- Muhammad is the messenger of God.
- Allah will preside on Judgment Day.

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."

Ever see the images that developed over time in the marble of the entrance to the Dome? DEMONS!

So to encapsulate...

The Dome of the Rock is at the geographically center of Jerusalem's seven MOUNTAINS. THIS IS THE ONLY PIECE OF GROUND GOD HAS CLAIMED AS HIS OWN IN THE BIBLE. SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Babylon the Great simply means A LARGE FALSE RELIGION. That religion is ISLAM. The abominations of the earth are worldwide terrorism. 'Sitteth' means "to occupy or have a fixed abode." This indicates that Islam is the dominate religion that 'OCCUPIES' this 10/7 Islamic empire which is an Islamic Caliphate of sorts situated around the Arabian Peninsula and Northern Africa.

The Meccan harlot already sits upon seven mountains. Mount Moriah is at the geographical center of Jerusalem's seven mountains. God's holy place in East Jerusalem will authenticate the anti-Christ. he's prophesied to come against Jerusalem. HE IS NOT A GLOBAL DICTATOR.

Islam wants East Jerusalem to become the anti-Christ headquarters of a worldwide Islamic Caliphate. This is where the anti-Christ authenticates himself and Islam as the religion of the beast.

Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The verse should actually read...

ISLAM, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF JIHADIST AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Is it coincidence that the Koran is the 'little book' of Revelation 10 that John is instructed to eat which is, "sweet as honey yet bitter to the belly." To "eat a book is to consume its contents."

Is it coincidence suicide bombers are found in Revelation?

Is it coincidence beheading is an Islamic trait and found in Revelation?

Is it coincidence that the locust of Revelation 9 represents the ARABS?

Is it coincidence that Islam is symbolized by a crescent moon and morning star and that's what the word Lucifer represents.

The Islamic harlot of Babylon promises it's fanatical adherents a mansion in paradise with as many as 72 bedrooms and 72 virgins for filling the harlot's cup. The number of virgins they get is dependent upon the magnitude of the abomination they commit. The Islamic harlot will terrorize the world into submission using some of the most horrific means available today. Islam will hurl the planet into tribulation.

Babylon is a place where all the people of God were deported to. That is not the case with Medina or Mecca but it is true of the USA.

The Great Babylon is also equated to Sodom and Gomorrah at the time of her judgement. That would be true of the US today, but that is not true of Mecca and Medina.

Stephen describes the people of God in Babylon as having the star of Rephan and carrying the tent of Moloch. None of that is true of Islam. But it is true of the US. Star of Rephan refers to the star on top of a Christmas tree and the tent of Moloch refers to an abortion clinic.

In the book of Psalms the captors in Babylon require the Jews to sing a song of Zion. That is not true of Islam, they do not require Jews to sing their songs in their land, on the contrary they prohibit it.

In Isaiah Babylon is the glory of kingdoms. That is true of the US and not true of the Mideast or the Islamic nations.

In Revelation 14 it says Babylon made all the nations to drink of the wine of her sexual immorality. That is true of Hollywood and the US, that is not true of Islamic nations.

Peter says that judgment must begin at the house of God. That means the US as a Christian nation will be judged before the other nations.

I'm amazed at the things Christians believe. 'Adding to' has become the Christian norm.

Have you ever changed your mind? Do you believe that you have 'everything right/correct?"

yes. Numerous times. I originally thought that the Great Babylon was the Vatican. But too many verses did not not fit. If you just look at one or two verses it seems absolutely certain it must be the Vatican, but for every verse that says "Vatican" I realized there were five that did not fit. Then the "mother of harlots" bothered me. I thought that would fit the UK better than the US. So I had to struggle with that.

There are two very big issues that everyone who believes the Day of the Lord is at hand, as I do. Why is the US not mentioned?

Now I reconcile that because I equate the US to Mystery, the Great Babylon. The USA was a mystery at the time of John, and it is a mystery today to Americans how the US has become the dwelling place of all these demons and foul spirits (the video I posted in the first Post should be required, even if you are familiar with what they are teaching, understand that set the context of everything after). And I believe the US being judged like a millstone being thrown into the sea will be what causes the last seven years to be so severe in tribulation.

The second thing everyone should understand and teach and yet for some reason I have never heard anyone teach this. Judgment must begin at the house of God. That means the church will be judged at the start of this 70th week. The rapture will be a judgement on all those who are left behind and all those who were calling the watchmen false prophets, and prophets of doom and chicken little. But if the US is a Christian nation they should receive the brunt of that judgment at the start of the seventieth week.

You should understand I got saved in 1972 and was a full time evangelist and spent 20 years in relatively intense training in the word of God based on JN Darby and Watchman Nee's teachings. I have been struggling with these things for 50 years. I was told that before you can study a book in the Bible you need to read it 100 times. I have read the New Testament and many of the OT books 100xs. It is very helpful.

Now we come to Revelation 18, an entire chapter describing the Great Babylon. I was raised on the teachings of J.N. Darby and Watchman Nee. They taught based on this chapter that the harlot of Babylon was the Vatican. This is so easy to debunk today that we might be tempted to question if these brothers were truly scholars of the Bible. However, we need to remember they both taught this prior to World War 2. At their time the US was not any of the things described. They didn't have multinational corporations, they didn't have movies, or TV, they were not a superpower. As a result the only two plausible candidates that they could see were the Vatican and England.

Revelation 18:1 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright with his glory. 2 And he called out with a mighty voice,

“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!
She has become a dwelling place for demons,
a haunt for every unclean spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.

It was perfectly reasonable at the time of Darby or Watchman Nee to interpret this as either the Vatican or England. However, recently we have seen the most graphic demonic displays at award shows for TV, for Movies, and for the Music industry. We have seen them at the Superbowl and at rock concerts. We saw them in the Biden administration and even at the Whitehouse. Today there is absolutely no doubt this can refer to the US as well. Yes, the coronation of King Charles revealed they too were a dwelling place for demons and the Vatican can also be pointed to for a number of reasons to say they are a dwelling place for demons.

3 For all nations have drunk
the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality,
and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her,
and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”

This was true in the past of England, but no more. This also is not a reference to the Vatican. Say what you want about the Catholic church, it is not known for luxurious living. Yes, the Vatican might, but the merchants of the earth have not grown rich by selling things to the Vatican. The United States is the single biggest consumer nation in the world. The merchants of the earth have gotten rich from the luxurious living of the Americans. Also, the Americans have the highest standard of living on earth. True, there are billionaires and rich people in Europe, China and the Middle East. But the vast majority of people in those countries are not rich and do not have luxurious living. In the 1970s I went to England. Prior to that I never understood why they said American cars were big. Once I got to England I was like "oh! Now I get it". In 1987 I went to Taiwan. When I got there everyone in the country was riding bicycles. Within two or three years no one was, they were now all riding scooters and motorcycles. They got rich by selling to their number one customer, the US.

Continuing with Revelation 18 about the Great Babylon

4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

“Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.

This description describes a country where God's people are dwelling. I am a Gideon, we are present in 200 countries and we have brothers and sisters from those countries come and speak to us all the time. Last year a brother from Croatia, a country I would think of as Greek Orthodox in religion, revealed that less than 1% of the country is Evangelical Christian. I have travelled to a number of other countries outside of the US. Prior to my travels I couldn't understand why people call the US "a Christian nation" when I got to the other countries, then I understood. I have been to first world countries, not talking about third world or developing countries, first world countries where Bribery and Prostitution are both considered a normal part of the governments function. I'm not making this up, there are 1st world countries where the brothel's are government run, and bribery is called "a hidden tax" and justified because by not revealing how much businesses must pay to set up shop they encourage more foreigners to invest. What we consider corruption they consider normal. Not only so, but I could never understand why so many Chinese would want to send their kids to the US to school when international tests showed the US was far behind them. When I got there I learned. Comparing US schools to Taiwan schools is apples to oranges, we don't know that but they do. But one thing is for sure, this is not referring to Islamic nations. The number of genuine christians in a strictly Islamic nation with Sharia law is even less than in Croatia.

6 Pay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her double for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.

Can every nation on earth say that Taiwan has paid them back? No. How about Israel? No. England was an imperial power and so I suppose you could say this about England back in the day, but whatever England did, it pales compared to the US and the CIA. For example, Covid19 was made in a bioweapons lab that was funded by the Americans. It was released from that lab and has caused far more death in China than any other country, and now China is blamed for the pandemic. However, the only ones to profit from it were American pharmaceutical companies. I suspect that the pandemic was really a bioweapon, it was the start of WW3, and the blame for it will ultimately be on the US. The US has been a puppet master for years and the list of atrocities they have committed against other countries is so long it would be impossible to list. How about Iran, or Turkey or Saudi Arabia? The answer is no.

7 As she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’

There is no way that is referring to either Russia or China. The horrors those two countries have experienced are so fresh that many people in those countries lived through them. Any prosperity they are experiencing now is very new to them. There is a whole lot you can say about Islam, idolatry, blasphemy and terrorism. But, "living in luxury" is not one of them. For 99% of those in these nations they are not living in luxury. How about "mourning I shall never see"? No, not Islamic nations, that is absurd. The US is the only country that could claim no attacks on their soil from foreign armies since 1812. Of course that was until 911. This cannot possibly refer to England which has been totally humbled since WW2. This cannot possibly refer to Israel. Can you imagine anyone in Israel being so arrogant as to say "mourning I shall never see"? That is absurd.

Maybe you should try preaching in the streets of Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. Some of Revelation 18 is literal and some figurative.

Maybe you should try looking at things spiritually rather than carnally (1 Corinthians 2:9-16).

Revelation 18:8 For this reason her plagues will come in a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and she will be burned up with fire;
for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”

Many of the Jews in Israel experienced the fires of the Holocaust and WW2. China experienced horrific famine, Russia has seen incredible mourning. There is no other superpower that can claim to be the glory of Earth's kingdoms other than the US that this word can apply to. The reason that her plagues come in one hour is because she is so powerful and so hated that all the nations conspire to take her down in a huge surprise attack. Much bigger than Pearl Harbor, much bigger than 911. At this point this cannot refer to Iran, how could you get a surprise attack at this point? The US and Israel have been fighting all the Islamic nations in the middle east either directly or through their proxies. The only country right now sitting at ease in unwalled cities is the US.

9 And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning. 10 They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,

“Alas! Alas! You great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For in a single hour your judgment has come.”

This is not saying every king, only those that committed sexual immorality with the US. No one would say this about China or Russia or even England. They certainly would not say this about Israel. Look, the UN is virtually unanimous in condemning Israel for fighting back against Hamas who brutally murdered them, took hostages, did horrific acts and shoots mortars into Israel all the time. If Israel were destroyed in an hour none of the Kings of the earth will weep and wail. The same is true of the UK. People would be horrified, sure, and there would be many nations that would be very angry about this. But the bloom is off that rose and has been since WW2. No, if the US is destroyed in an hour that means the US stock market goes to 0 in an hour, it means everyone holding US debt loses everything. These kings commit sexual immorality, they live in luxury, they don't care about the Americans who are killed and maimed. They are weeping and wailing over the loss of their portfolio. The rulers and kings of this evil and adulterous age have a reptilian brain, they don't weep and wail over other people's suffering, they weep and wail over the things they lose. Also, what does it mean that they are saying "Alas, alas! You great city for in a single hour your judgment has come"? It means they see that as a threat. If that great and mighty city could fall in an hour, what about them? Right now the entire world sees the US as a great and mighty power. If they fall in an hour, what about their country, what about their lives?

14 “The fruit for which your soul longed
has gone from you,
and all your delicacies and your splendors
are lost to you,
never to be found again!”
15 The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,

You can stand afar off from the US because of the oceans surrounding us. You can't stand afar off from Israel, or the Vatican or England. Yes, England is surrounded by water, but people have swum across the English channel. They have a tunnel under it that connect London to Paris. In this day and age no one considers that to be "afar off". The merchants stand afar off, not because they have been tormented but because the Great Babylon will no longer be able to buy their stuff. Again, referring to the US and not Mecca or Medina or the Vatican.

16 “Alas, alas, for the great city
that was clothed in fine linen,
in purple and scarlet,
adorned with gold,
with jewels, and with pearls!

This is one of the verses that those who think this is the Vatican use. The Pope's and Cardinals are dressed in purple and scarlet. But they aren't adorned with gold, jewels and pearls. In the US we have religious leaders of several denominations as well as the Catholic church that are dressed in purple and scarlet. But we also have 49% of the world's Jews whose priests dress in fine linen (by law they cannot wear wool or have the linen be a blend). There are no Jews in the Vatican. In the US we have prosperity preachers who are adorned with gold, jewels and pearls. This verse does not in any way describe the Vatican or Israel. Yes, it does describe the royal family in England and yes it does describe the religions in the US. But it most definitely does not describe Mecca or Medina.

17 For in a single hour all this wealth has been laid waste.”
And all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off 18 and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning,

All the shipmasters? The US is on the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Arctic ocean and Gulf of Mexico. All the shipmasters from East, West, North and South come here. The Vatican and Israel are in the Mediterranean, that would never be "all the shipmasters".
