Idk. I think pining for the days of Jim Crow just doesn’t sit right with some people. You can make the argument for stronger marriages and more stable families without invoking that period. It’s also true unemployment for blacks was lowest when they were forced to work the fields but something tells me a politician invoking the antebellum South as an argument for jobs creation wouldn’t be so well received either.Why is it bad to mention blacks had a higher marriage rate during the Jim Crow era than they do now? It's true. So why is it bad to mention that?
