Several liberal Protestant and Jewish denominations declared transgenderism "holy" this week in direct rebuke of a vote by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to bar transgender procedures in Catholic healthcare facilities.

"During a time when our country is placing their lives under increasingly serious threat, there is a disgraceful misconception that all people of faith do not affirm the full spectrum of gender — a great many of us do," read the Wednesday statement, which included signatures of leaders from The Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Church of Christ (UCC), the Unitarian Universalist Association, the Union for Reform Judaism, an association of Quakers and others.

“Let it be known instead that our beloveds are created in the image of God — Holy and whole," the statement said of transgender-identifying individuals.

Tebow, author of the new book “Look Again,” appeared on a popular podcast this week to discuss his faith and his advocacy work. On the Nov. 12 episode of “Flagrant,” hosted by comedians Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, Tebow talked about Christianity, living out his faith, and working to save children trapped in sexual slavery.

Tebow, 38, is a former professional athlete, Heisman Trophy winner, and new father. While playing sports, he was often mocked for kneeling in prayer, wearing Bible verses in his eye black, and pledging to remain a virgin until marriage.

This week’s conversation on “Flagrant” began with some of those topics, giving Tebow opportunities to share the gospel message. The activist then spent a large chunk of time addressing the evils of child trafficking and exploitation—and how he’s working to combat them.

The 17-point drop in the percentage of U.S. adults who say religion is an important part of their daily life — from 66% in 2015 to 49% today — ranks among the largest Gallup has recorded in any country over any 10-year period since 2007.

About half of Americans now say religion is not an important part of their daily life. They remain as divided on the question today as they were last year.

As religiosity has declined in the U.S., the gap between the U.S. and the global median has widened. The global median for religiosity has remained stable for nearly two decades, averaging 81% since 2007 and reaching 83% last year, the most current full-year data available.

At the same time, attitudes in the U.S. are drawing closer to those in other advanced economies.

U.S. Now Occupies Unique Spot in Global Religiosity​

According to reports in The Wall Street Journal, billionaires in Silicon Valley are trying to expand the frontiers of genetic engineering in the eternal quest to create genetically engineered human beings with enhanced intelligence and traits preferred in different cultures.

Editing genes in sperm, eggs and embryos is currently banned in the United States. The current effort by Preventive, a Silicon Valley startup, involves a couple with a genetic abnormality who want to participate in producing a genetically engineered embryo.

Scientists are currently employing technologies for treating genetic birth defects (including edited and inserted DNA after birth, but not before birth).

In fact, scientists and medical ethicists have been calling “for a global moratorium until the ethical and scientific questions get resolved.”

Preventive is the harbinger of other efforts in Silicon Valley and beyond that are pushing all boundaries in the areas of genetic engineering and reproductive technologies. The stated goal is one of attempting to cure genetic diseases and genetic birth defects. The stated goal is to produce babies “who are free of genetic disease and resilient against illnesses.”

Kat Von D responded to Christians online who told her that a piece of furniture she has in her house was “demonic” and that she needed to get rid of it immediately. Von D said she would not be doing so and explained why she finds value in the piece.

“Yesterday, I posted a photo of one of my favorite pieces of furniture from my personal collection,” said Von D in a video posted Nov. 13.

“Surprisingly, but not surprisingly, I got a ton of negative feedback from my fellow Christian followers, who were calling the piece demonic and dark and telling me how I should just get rid of it and, you know, [saying to] get it out of my house as soon as possible,” she said, “which will not be happening.”

What is the difference between these two groups? I've been in churches, and had elders trying to instruct me, and they claim to be Evangelical, but I think they are closer to Fundamentalist.

Here a couple of things that makes me think they are fundamentalist, they seemed to not agree with and tried to steer me away from modern paraphrases like JB Phillip's Letters to Young Churches. They try to steer me away from pop/rock music, and some CCM. In their favor I suppose I could score them for showing an interest to get me on the what they believe to be the right path as it were. But its their claim to be evangelical? Maybe they are and maybe JB Phillips is questionable for some in the evangelical community? But I get the feeling a lot of stuff is going to be off limits for me if I submit to these sorts of churches. I like to know where they are coming from, what in their view a christian can and can't do, listen to, read etc. as some groups can be extreme in what they regard as worldly.

Is there anything in particular that distinguishes Evangelicals from Fundamentalists?

Five Christians were killed and 44 others injured on Nov. 4 after an Islamist leader incited Muslims to attack Christians over pork sales near a mosque in Yumbe, northern Uganda, sources said.

The violence erupted after reports spread that Christian merchants were openly selling pork near Munir Mosque, a move many Muslims described as provocative and disrespectful to their religion, which forbids consumption of pork.

According to police sources, the unrest began following a video that circulated on social media showing Sheikh Kasim Abdalla of Munir Mosque urging Muslims from the wider West Nile sub-region, and even from Sudan and Somalia, to support what he termed “Operation Albadiri,” likening it to an ancient Islamic battle.

Hi, I was first told about this by a non denominational Protestant. She said the Pope doesn't want you to worship or pray to the Virgin Mary. I told her to hold on and I pulled out the truth. I don't have an issue with it. I never considered the Virgin to be equal to Christ.

In a letter to the White House released late Thursday, BBC Chair Samir Shah said he and the corporation were "sorry for the edit of the President's speech " acknowledging that the way the footage was spliced created "the mistaken impression that President Trump had made a direct call for violent action."
But despite the apology, the statement made clear it does not concede the defamation claim. "While the BBC sincerely regrets the manner in which the video clip was edited, we strongly disagree there is a basis for a defamation claim," the corporation said.The documentary — titled Trump: A Second Chance? — was commissioned by the BBC from an external production company and aired shortly before the 2024 U.S. presidential election. It spliced together separate parts of Trump's speech on the day of the Capitol riots, even though the excerpts came from moments almost an hour apart.

They were financially smart to make the apology.

"Catholic teaching exhorts nations to recognize the fundamental dignity of all persons, including immigrants. We bishops advocate for a meaningful reform of our nation’s immigration laws and procedures. Human dignity and national security are not in conflict. Both are possible if people of good will work together.
We recognize that nations have a responsibility to regulate their borders and establish a just and orderly immigration system for the sake of the common good. Without such processes, immigrants face the risk of trafficking and other forms of exploitation. Safe and legal pathways serve as an antidote to such risks."

We can't let this exploitation of immigrants in a quest for votes and one-party control ever happen again. The leaders need to be held accountable. The effects of flooding of our country with from 10 to 20 million immigrants in one presidential term, in contempt of our border laws, will be felt for many years. It was an attack on the will of the people who had supported laws to gradually allow immigrants into our country. It has created a situation where some who might likely have gained citizenship will end up being deported, because there is no way our country can handle a proper review of tens of millions on a case by case basis. Certainly there had to be recognition of this fact by many who were sought control of our government.
Only a fraction of the children lost track of by the last administration have been rescued because there is nowhere to start to investigate on an individual basis. How many were essentially sold into slavery we may never know. Realize too that many immigrants were lured into our country when our president said "come." What we should working together on is a pathway for citizenship for those who love America and our Judeo/Christian founded culture, who don't wish to tear it down or be on the government dole for the rest of their lives. They can apply for citizenship from outside the country, but they will have to take a place in line BEHIND those who have obeyed our laws and legally applied from outside of the U.S. Instead many are idolizing some of the worst of criminals and those who hate our country, trying to keep them here as long as possible. Sadly we have seen this pattern of causing suffering for others for political gains, so often by the same people over and over again. I conjunction I also think the voluntary deportation program needs to be pushed harder.

The context here is that of believers in Jesus Christ needing to be those who are putting aside all sinful desires and actions and to long for the pure word of God that they may grow to maturity in Christ and in their salvation. We are to be those who offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For we are a people for God’s own possession, that we might proclaim the excellencies of God who has called us out of darkness (sin) into his marvelous light (Jesus Christ, truth, righteousness, the gospel of Christ).

And then we are instructed that we are to be submissive to governing authorities, and we are to be people who do what is right. So, those two cannot contradict one another. In other words, if submitting to any governing authorities means that we have to compromise our faith in Jesus Christ or the gospel of Christ or our morals or the commandments of God, then we must obey God rather than man. And biblical examples of this are found in the lives of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and Jesus Christ, Peter, John, and Paul, and many others throughout the world.


For, even though we are doing what is right, and not what is wrong, corrupt leadership may indeed make us suffer because we obeyed the commands of God and we did not give way to compromise of truth and righteousness. And that is what happened in the lives of the people of God listed above who suffered greatly at the hands of people who were in positions of rule of law but who were apart from God’s rule of law, and who opposed the law of God, such as those who are malicious, morally unclean, deceivers, manipulators, opportunists, liars, untrustworthy, egocentrics, who fake their Christianity.

So, if we suffer for doing right, and at the hands of people in positions of power and rule of law over us, either within the government, or within other law enforcement, or within the gatherings of the church (or what are falsely being called “church,” but which are businesses created in the minds of humans), we are not to retaliate. We are not to return evil with evil, but we are to return evil with good. And we are to keep putting our lives into the hands of our maker God, entrusting ourselves to God who judges righteously. And we are to keep obeying God and doing what is right.


And it is critical that we get what this is saying here for we have many malicious, morally unclean, deceivers, manipulators, opportunists, liars, and untrustworthy egocentrics, who fake their Christianity, now living among us, who serve in positions of power, rule, and authority over us, but who are presenting a gospel message which is a lie, and which is straight from hell. For they are telling us that all we have to do is to make a verbal confession of Christ as Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead, and now we are saved. But that is out of context, and is not the gospel in whole.

For Jesus Christ gave his life up for us on that cross in putting our sins to death with him so that we will now die to sin and live to righteousness. This is the gospel message which is taught all throughout the Scriptures, both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. We cannot put on our new garments in Christ Jesus if we don’t first remove the old ones, by the grace of God, in the power and wisdom of God. For if we do not die to sin, and if we do not obey our Lord’s commands, we do not know God, we are not in fellowship with Christ, and we do not have eternal life with God. Know this!

I have a lot of misaligned joints and crack them all the time. However, I know how to do it with the right amount of force and angle to get a ”damp” crack that stimulates synovial fluid production.

Seeing the commercials chiropractors make themselves is just painful. They seem to be giving way more force and angle than what the patients need. You can hear their joints weren’t ready for that manoeuvre.

The archtypical Pharisee is everywhere around us. It’s interesting that Christ did spend a good part of his ministry exposing these people, explaining their doom. And just like Abraham said, if they do not believe the words of Moses, neither will they believe if one rises from the dead.

They’re good at trying one’s patience and faith. Is that the only reason why they’re here?

I’ve been working on a literal translation and grammatical analysis of Daniel 9:24–27, and I believe the prophecy is intentionally structured with two 70-week cycles:

1. First 70 weeks — Ancient fulfillment (457 BC decree → Messiah → 70 AD destruction)


2. Second 70 weeks — Modern fulfillment (1542 Suleiman’s wall rebuilding → 1967 Jerusalem return → final 7-year week)



I’m particularly focused on Daniel 9:25, where the Hebrew reads:

> שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁנַיִם (shishim u-shenayim) — literally “sixty and two”



Traditional translations render this simply as “sixty-two weeks,” but I interpret it as “second sixty”, marking the first 60 weeks of the second 70-week cycle. My reasoning:

Inversion/wordplay: Verse 25 inverts the normal order compared to verse 26, highlighting a purposeful sequence rather than a simple count.

Cardinal-as-ordinal usage: Hebrew routinely uses cardinal numbers to indicate sequence. Examples include:

Exodus 40:2 — “in the second month” uses the cardinal word for two to indicate sequence.

Daniel 7:25 — “years” (cardinal) used sequentially for prophetic timing.


Contextual necessity: This block must be distinguished from the first 70-week cycle to align with historical events (Suleiman 1542 → Jerusalem 1967).
