Perspective is a strange thing

If you click on the link for the top one, you'll see it's a still of a NASA animation supposedly showing the moon transversing the earth while in orbit. It's not a matter of perspective.

Objects that are farther away from you look smaller. News at 11.

The earth-moon distance is (very) roughly 240,000 miles

Image from the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite around 761,000 miles from the lunar surface.

So the earth is roughly a million miles away, 33% farther away from the camera than the moon.

Image from the Chang'e 5-T1 craft around 8,000 miles from the lunar surface.

So the earth is roughly 248,000 miles away, 31 times farther away from the camera than the moon.

Which are we supposed to believe?

I know artists who can draw more believable pictures of earth. Have you compared all the pictures nasa has provided for the past 50 years? It’s comical. Better than movies.

You mean one from behind the moon and the other from behind the moon?
Yup, at different distances behind the moon. Magnification was not specified. That would have cleared it up for you.

Which are we supposed to believe?
Obviously we believe that the sun and the moon are the same size. You can just look and see.
