I learned of the Black Knight satellite a few years back, did a little research, nothing conclusive _ NASA saying it's space junk. Was it already there since Sputnik was the first? Supposedly pictures were taken in 1960s of it - looks nothing like a part of a rocket ship.

No solid information on when it was first discovered, some go back as far as 1889. But I seriously doubt it is space junk.
