Ok here are some of my recipees

Chicano Steak

1lb hamburger

1 can chopped greenchilis

1 small onion chopped

1 small can chopped mushrooms

1 small can chopped black olives

1 small jar of picante sauce (i prefer medium)

1 can tomatoe sauce

grated cheese

tortillas

Brown or Boil Hamburger meat, when nearly done add the green chilis and chopped onion. I usually also add garlic powder and dried cilantro here too.  Cook until done, the drain meat.  Then add the olives, mushrooms and their juice to the meat.  Then add the picante sauce and tomatoe sauce.  Simmer for 20 minutes.

Use the meat mixture to make burritoes with the cheese and tortillas.

!!!!Warning!!!! this is a very messy dish, be sure to use a slotted spoon when making a burrito for little ones :)

Enjoy!

ok one more quick fast one!!

Easy Cheeseburger Mac

1lb hamburger meat

1 cup uncooked macaronie

garlic powder

onion flakes

2 cups water

1 cup ketshup

10-12 oz velvetta cheese cubed(the amount is your choice)

Brown the hamburger meat with the garlic powder and onion flakes as seasoning.  Then add the water and ketschup, bring to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook till noodles are done.  Then add the velevetta cheese and stir the mixture until all the cheese is melted.

This is a great meal for those nights you want something quick and easy.

You can also use tomatoe paste or sauce instead of ketchup. also can add chili powder to the dish also to make it Chili Cheese Mac.

enjoy

My Cincinnati Chili is a ground beef recipe - in the "Cream soup" thread.

I like to brown my grd bf with some chili powder and then add a can of chili beans. Then I put it over tortilla chips and lettuce, then top with sour cream, guac, tomatoes, salsa, cheese, etc. It's a really quick alternative to tacos or taco salad. :)

Mashed potatoes would be EXCELLENT on the Jimmy Casserole!

Do check out the "hamburger mix" recipe, Gwyyn. You can stretch the hamburger, remove the grease, make it easy to use in most hamburger recipes, AND increase fiber! win-win-win, all the way around!

Peace,
