Just started to cook Christmas dinner. Is anyone else cooking yet and what are yall cooking? Ham and fixens here. This is the first Christmas with out my dad it feels really strange.

I'm finished with food for today! I've been helping serve Christmas lunch to the clients at the local homeless shelter - full three course turkey dinner. 
This is the first year I've had Christmas day to myself (my family's doing the Christmas thing tomorrow) and yes, it feels a bit weird, but I'm cool with it.

Sorry for the loss of your Father. Mine passed in 1994. This is a wound that time will heal.
We put the turkey in at 8:30 am for a big lunch and then graze at dinner.

we kept it simple, roast chicken and roast vegies, and salad, plus dessert (icecream, strawberries and chocolate pieces). That was lunch, then we went to my dads for turkey and all the trimmings for dinner. Christmas in 27 degrees celcius is not good for lots of eating (too hot).

my mom didn't start cooking till about noon. she actually finished cooking about 7 which is rather quick i think.
