But to whom does Genesis 12:3 refer to? Let’s explore some scriptural facts and historical evidences.

It was a promise made to the patriarch Abraham way before the 12 tribes of Israel came into existence and the seed was none other than Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul clearly stated in Gal 3:16: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He does not say, ‘And to seeds,’ as of many, but as of one, ‘And to your Seed,’ who is Christ” (Gal. 3:16). This is the promised “seed” of the woman that would crush the serpent’s (satan’s) head (Gen. 3:15).

This clearly establishes the true identity of the Messiah and to whom the blessings and curses of Gen 12:3 are applicable. Therefore, any entity or nation that blesses Christians would be blessed by God. Leaving Christians communities alone to practise their faith is indeed a blessing. Persecuting, abetting or celebrating their persecution invites divine wrath.

Gen 12:3 can be tested and validated by observing the blessing and curses visited on nations based on their treatment of Christians.

It's kind of bizarre that any Christian would apply that to the modern antichrist state of Israel. There's no relationship whatsoever to biblical Judaism, just look at this poll of Israelis Israel’s Religiously Divided Society

It seems that way. I am still wondering whether anyone has ever written or preached on the subject of blessings or curses which befall a nation based on its treatment of Christian believers. If anyone has any link or book to recommend, I'd be obliged. h

In a somewhat similar vein, Pontius Pilate himself was cursed the moment he allowed Jesus to be condemned to a painful death and subsequently died a horrible death as a result. Based on Pilate's troubled conscience during Jesus'sham trial, God had warned Pilate's wife in a dream. He apparently wanted to give Pilate a chance to spare himself of an impending judgement. Even so, one of Jesus last words to Pilate was "Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin" (John 19:11).

Since we are the Body of Christ, aren't we protected the same way by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11)?

We have had false prophets invoking "the touch not my anointed" verse many times but isn't this actually applicable to the faithful church?

There's an excellent series by Francis Shaeffer along those lines.

I believe that the curse was specifically towards those who curse Abram. We have the promise of blessing, and becoming a blessing to all.
"...in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed."
If you read the following, one may conclude that Pilate may have been putting an act on for his wife in order to be in good graces with her.
Acts 4:
25You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David:

‘Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
26The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together
against the Lord
and against His Anointed One.’

27In fact, this is the very city where Herod and Pontius Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed. 28They carried out what Your hand and will had decided beforehand would happen.

The truth is that Abraham, Issac and Jacob were HEBREWS... not "JEWS".

God changed Jacob's name to "Israel", and Jacob had 12 sons, one of whom was Judah, whose descendents or bloodline are the true Jews. The rest of the 11 sons or tribes are not 'Jews".. only Judah , the tribe of Judah bloodline are "Jews".

There were people who "claimed" to be "Jews" based on land association, but they were NOT bloodline from Judah tribe.

When the Hebrews were in Egypt, the Pharaoh called them Hebrews or Israelites being as Jacob's 12 sons were Hebrews/or Israelites (since Jacob was renamed Israel by God.)

There is the Land of Israel,
There is Jacob who was renamed Israel

Discernment is lacking of terminology by alot of pastors who are calling all 12 tribes "jews", when they are not.

Jesus bloodline was of the tribe of Judah and Levi
Mary's father was of the tribe of Judah, Mary's mother was of the tribe of Levi making Jesus King of kings and Lord of lords.

Jesus "religion" was Christianity... not Judaism who dont even beleive in Jesus.

So many of these so called pastors out there have not read the Bible, and are trying to teach that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were "jews", when there was not even such a thing as a Jew until Judah was born and had descendents from his bloodline.

The tribe of Levi were levites, the tribe of Dan were danites, the tribe of benjamin were benjamenites, etc.....
