Blessed-one said:you guys mean a lost of control on the plot right?
In my case, no. For me it's usually "mind blank", being unsatisfied with the way I'm expressing my thoughts on paper, sheer laziness, or a combination of the three.
uh oh, but you can stick the ideas together from all those 'failed' stories, merge them into something bigger..
Technically, that's kind of where I'm at. I have a reasonably interesting alternate-historical-fantasy environment that would accommodate a variety of my story ideas, but I don't want to turn it into something "bigger" as in "a novel"; I'm more interested in a string of loosely-connected, unsequenced short stories in the spirit of pulp fantasy writers like H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Robert E. Howard, et al.
