I do not recall off hand any of the OT books being directly addressed to anyone, though clearly Israelites were the intended audience, of which Gentiles were included.
It is letters that are addressed to others.

Repent is the command of the Gospel that each of us must obey, in order to believe and therefore obey the Gospel.
We obey the gospel by choosing to believe the gospel. Romans 10:16 - But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” Repentance precedes believing the gospel.

This principle is called the obedience of faith.
It's called repent and believe the gospel.

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:26
In regard to (Romans 1:5; 16:26), although Paul can speak of people’s initial response of choosing to believe the gospel as an act of obedience, in which he describes it as "obeying the gospel" (Romans 10:16; 1:16), the purpose of Paul’s apostleship was not merely to bring people to conversion but also to bring about transformed lives that were obedient to God.

*Notice that Paul said they HAVE (already) received grace and apostleship FOR/UNTO obedience to the faith. Just as in Ephesians 2:10, Paul said that we are created in Christ Jesus FOR/UNTO good works. We are clearly saved FOR good works, NOT BY good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Paul did not say that they did not receive grace and apostleship until they produced obedience afterwards. We have access by faith into grace.. (Romans 5:2) not faith "and" obedience/works.

Do you agree that someone can act in a way that expresses a belief and specifically that someone can act in a way that expresses a belief in the Gospel? Moreover, do you agree that someone can give instructions for how to act in a way that express a belief in the Gospel and that following these instructions are what it means to obey the Gospel?

In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and God's law was how his audience knew what sin is, so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of what it means to believe the Gospel. Likewise, in Romans 15:18-19, Paul's Gospel involved brining Gentiles to full obedience in word and in deed, so his Gospel was on the same page about repenting from our sins and there is more to obeying the Gospel than just mental affirmation.

In Proverbs 3:5-7, we have a choice between whether we are going to lean on our own understanding of right and wrong by doing what is right in our own eyes or whether we are going to trust God with all of our heart to correctly divide between right and wrong through obeying what He has instructed, and he will make our paths straight, and this is what it means to have faith and believe the Gospel

In Titus 2:11-14, our salvation is described as being trained by grace to do what is godly, righteous, and good, and to renounce doing what is ungodly, so it is neither the case that we need to have first done those works in order to then result in our salvation nor is the case that we need to have been saved first in order to then result in doing those works, but rather God graciously teaching us to do those works is the content of His gift of saving us from not doing those works.

Those who believe the gospel trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and have obeyed the gospel. (Romans 10:16) Obeying the gospel is not about sinless perfection or salvation by works. Now although believing the gospel results in actions appropriate to the belief (all genuine believers are fruitful, yet not all are equally fruitful -- Matthew 13:23) the actions are not inherent in the belief. Good works are the fruit of salvation but not the root of it.

The grace of God that brings salvation has "appeared to all men" (yet that does not mean that all men will accept God's gift of eternal life through faith). God's grace brings salvation through faith (Ephesians 2:8) and the "grace of God" also teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age. Believers are to be zealous for good works, which is what we are saved FOR but not by. (Ephesians 2:10)

Our salvation is from sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4), living in obedience to it through faith in Jesus is intrinsically part of the concept of him saving us from not living in obedience to it. Again, in Titus 2:11-14, it neither the case that we need to earn our salvation as the result of having first done those works as the root nor do we need do not need to do those works as the result or fruit of having first been saved, but rather God graciously teaching us to do those works is the content of His gift of saving us from not doing those works, which requires us to participate in doing those works, but which has nothing to do with sinless perfection or earning our salvation. Moreover, in Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so becoming zealous for doing good works in obedience to God's law is the way to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation (Acts 21:20), which is the same way to trust in and obey the Gospel that Jesus taught during his ministry (Matthew 4:15-23).

The grace of God that brings salvation has "appeared to all men" (yet that does not mean that all men will accept God's gift of eternal life through faith). Believers are to be zealous for good works, which is what we are saved FOR but not by. (Ephesians 2:10)
There are many verses like Matthew 19:17 that say that obedience to God's commandments is the way to enter eternal life and many verses like John 3:16 that say that the way to have eternal life is by believing in Jesus, which is because God's commandments are His instructions for how to believe in Jesus and obedience to them is the way to accept God's gift of eternal life through faith. In Ephesians 2:8-10, we are new creations in Christ to do good works, so while we do not earn our salvation as the result of our works lest anyone should boast, doing good works is nevertheless intrinsically the content of the gift of Jesus saving us from not doing good works, not the result. For example, getting to honor our parents is intrinsically the content of the gift of Jesus saving us from not honoring our parents.

You seem to conflate faith with acts of obedience/good works which "follow" and the end result is salvation by works/works righteousness which is contrary to the gospel. (Romans 1:16; 3:24-28; 4:5-6; 11:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9 etc..)

In Proverbs 3:5-7, we have a choice between whether we are going to lean on our own understanding of right and wrong by doing what is right in our own eyes or whether we are going to trust in God with all of our heart to correctly make that distinction through obeying what He has instructed, and He will make our way straight, and that is what it means to have faith, which is why there are many verses that connect our faith with our works.

For example, in Matthew 23:23, Jesus said hat faith is one of the weightier matters of the law. In Romans 1:5, we have received grace in order to bring about the obedience of faith. In Romans 3:31, our faith upholds God's law. In James 2:18, he would show his faith by his works. In Revelation 14:12, those who kept faith in Jesus are the same as those who kept God's commandments. In Hebrews 11, every example of faith is an eagle of works. In Numbers 5:6, disobedience to God's law is described as breaking faith. In Hebrews 3:18-19, disobedience is equated with unbelief. And so forth, it all boils down to whether we trust God with all of our heart to correctly divide between right and wrong through following what He was instructed.

and the end result is salvation by works/works righteousness which is contrary to the gospel. (Romans 1:16; 3:24-28; 4:5-6; 11:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9 etc..)
My last two posts both stated the position that our salvation is not the result of having first done good works and doing good works is not the result of having first been saved, but rather God graciously teaching us to do good works is itself the content of His gift of saving us from not doing good works, so I have not said anything contrary to those the Gospel or the verses that you cited.

Before one can embrace New Covenant theology, they will have to renounce their Old Covenant theology of works, laws and religion. Under the New Covenant Christians are justified by faith alone, works, laws and religions have been abolished and count for nothing, Ephesians 2:15 also Colossians 2:14. This is one reason why Paul said, "The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17. Living by faith does not include laws, works and religion.

Under the New Covenant Christians will be focused on Jesus Christ and his Gospel, because Jesus is the end and the fulfillment of the Old Covenant. Paul said, "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes" Romans 10:4. Without the law there cannot be an Old Covenant. All religions are based upon law. Where there is no law, there is no sin, Romans 4:15.

Under the New Covenant Jesus has ALREADY defeated sin, death and the devil and now sits in heaven as "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16.

Under the New Covenant, Jesus has ALREADY reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.

Under the New Covenant, Christians are new creations in Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Under the New Covenant, Christians are not subject to laws or rules, because there is no condemnation for those that are "In Christ" Romans 8:1. There is no condemnation because there are no laws.

Under the New Covenant, God sees his people as perfect and complete "In Christ" Colossians 2:10. No laws, rules or religion needed.

Under the New Covenant, salvation is by grace (God's goodness) through faith, Ephesians 2:8. Plus nothing.

#1 In Heb 8:8 their will be a NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE of Israel and with the house of Judah , and this has yet to HAPPEN .

#2 We know that Israel and Judah are YET separated an will become One nation again , as written in Ezk 37:15-17 , when Christ makes them one NATION , which has not happen today .

#3 In Heb 8:8 the words , I WILL MAKE / SYNTELEO is in the Greek FUTURE TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , and in the INDICATIVE MOOD and is in the SINGULAR .

I am having computer problems and Heb 8:8 says I WILL MAKE / SYNTELEO is in the Greek , FUTUREN TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE and in the INDICATIVE MOOD and is SINGULAR .
Roman’s 10:6-8 causes a problem for your theology. That and some of Hebrews 8 and 10 speaking of the New Covenant is in the present tense
I checked Heb 8:8 and only saw 4 , PRESENT TENSES ,, HE SAITH / LEGO , and COME / ERCHOMAI ,

#2 FINDING FAULT / MEMPHOMAI , PRESENT TENSE , MIDDLE OR PASSIVE VOICE , in the SINGULAR

#3 COME / ERCHOMAI , in the PRESENT TENSE , MIDDLE OR PASSIVE VOICE , and in the INDICATIVE MOOD ,

#4 SAITH / LEGO , in the PRESENT TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , and is SINGULAR

So how can the PRESENT TENSE over come the FUTURE TENSE of I WILL MAKE / SYNTELEO which is in the FUTURE TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE and in the INDICATIVE MOOD and is SINGULAR .

That is when Christ makes Israel and Judah ONE STICK and One NATION in EX 37:15-19 as Jews are all SCATTERED all over the world .

Many are living under the New Covenant, but they want to bring Old Covenant things with them, which is a perversion of New Covenant theology.
Under the NC, the requirement to be holy, obedient, just, righteous has not changed, but is finally made possible to accomplish, apart from the law. We are changed under the NC, by virtue of reconciliation and union with God, established by faith, and we’ll continue to be obedient to the extent that we truly remain with and in Him.

Do you have any idea as to the exact extent God requires to truly remain with and in Him? Is this spelled out somewhere for us? It seems to me that the RCC is amazingly vague about this critical issue such that untold millions of Catholics in Europe may, or may not be, headed for hell simply because they don't bother themselves to attend mass weekly.

I am having computer problems and Heb 8:8 says I WILL MAKE / SYNTELEO is in the Greek , FUTUREN TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE and in the INDICATIVE MOOD and is SINGULAR .

These are the reasons that the NEW COVENANT is NOT in OPERATION TODAY .

In Heb 8:8 it says that the NEW COVENANT is made with the house of ISRAEL and with the House of Judah and not with GENTILES EVER .

And Israel and Judah are SEPARATE HOUSES today , but Christ will make the STICK of Israel and take the STICK of Judah and make them one STICK and ONE NATION once again and that will only happen WHEN Christ comes back and save all Jews .

Neither Judah nor Israel exist as defined political bodies, nor have they for centuries.
