Mackenzie is pretty popular here in the states.

Our girl name is - Harmony Ann
Our boy name is - Bryan Allen

Those names were decided almost as soon as we were married - if not before.
If we have 2 girls or 2 boys then we'll have to start discusing more.

we have a pretty similar style, I have considered almost all of those at some point.... but some girls names get dismissed for popularity... won't use any girls name in the top 25

Yeah thats one thng I hate about the names I love... they've all become "trendy" and I originally picked all these names because they were unique and different. Ah well who knows... at the rate I'm going they'll be long un popular by the time we have kids anyway :D

I love names like Faith, Hope, Charity...but a little voice pops up asking, "What if your child becomes an Atheist as an adult? Her name (Faith) will be the biggest joke!", In fact, knowing my luck; Hope would become a doom-sayer, and Charity would be a debt-collector! :p or "Do you really want a name you child has to live up to? "

Argh.I think waaay too much!

Pretty names, though.

Thanks TC :p always the optimist :p:p

I don't want to name my kids anything that can be used as bully bashing, at school and stuff.

And the main reason for faith (hubby loves the name) but also because I have a heap of faith that I'm eventually going to have a kid that I can call Faith

now, with abigail... I just chose that name because I like it, and because it sounds nice, and goes well with our last name.... DH's mum is forever asking if I'm pregnant and do I have any names picked out (often, feel like yelling down the phone 'shut up already!') and when I told her 'abigail' she's like "oh, after me? You do know that is my name and maiden name put together":swoon:

no, no, no not at all is it named after her, God forbid :D

^_^...I love the name Grace...but I am afraid that A) my MIL will think it's after her (it's her middle name) and B) the kid will grow up to have absolutely no manners and be really clumsy! :o (the clumsy bit will come from her mother)

I'd love to name a daughter Rebekah Helen (the middle name for my great-grandmother, who I was very close to), or Hannah Sophia.

For a son, the first name would have to be Robert, but he'd go by his middle name - it's my husband's family's tradition. So our first son would be Robert Sean, if my husband has his way. I like Robert Samuel ("God heard" - especially in light of our fertility issues), but Sam rhymes with our last name, and I'm not sure I'd want to do that to a kid.
