How true are these words about the Evangelical Churches?

Baptists are followers of the radical reformation.

Baptists have multiple theological roots. Like the churches of the Radical Reformation, they baptize adults rather than infants. But in theology and worship style, they also draw strongly from the Reformed (i.e., Calvinist) tradition.

Theological Liberalism Takes Over Mainstream Churches.

Sort of, though it depends on what you mean by "mainstream". In the 20th century, most of the major Protestant denominations split over the question of the inerrancy of the Bible. The denomination-halves on the liberal side of that split are usually referred to in the US as "mainline". (There is a region in Pennsylvania called the Main Line, and the term probably grew out of that regional reference.) The mainline denominations are generally ones with centuries-old roots, going back to the Protestant Reformation, and which accept modern scholarship of the Bible, including Higher Criticism. Individual parishioners within the mainline churches, however, vary in how conservative and how liberal they are.

More recently, there have been splits over a collection of issues related to gender and sexuality. The Mainline churches have tended to be on the liberal (i.e., more inclusive) side of these issues, but with a lot of variation.

Conservative Christians Flock to Evangelical Churches (including Baptist).

There has been movement back and forth. Many people have left mainline churches for conservative churches. Many other people have left conservative churches for mainline churches.

There are many different "Evangelical" Churches, so we can't put them all in the same category. Some hold to conservative views while others hold to progressive views.

There is no consensus in any of the other denominations either. The Roman Catholic Church has undergone some radical changes, recently and there's is a lot of internal conflict around these changes. The same is true of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Church of England and pretty much every other denomination.

Churches are closing down all over the world, as they are seen as outdated and irrelevant in our modern age where most people have embraced a secular scientific worldview, to satisfy their spiritual needs.

Well, I made a post about this very topic yesterday. Both sides flock to the side where they want to hear their own cherry picked version of the gospel. The analysis of 2 Timothy 4:3 is a little bit in the grey area, as it is a little bit of a heavy topic, but here it goes: A Warning from 2 Timothy 4:3 - The Gospel is not a Cafeteria

2 Timothy 4:3 (ESV): "For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions"

When one holds to the teachings according to the written word they are seen as being "radical" because holding to the word of God is at enmity with the world ... churches are compromising with the world ... and most of them are indeed compromising.

I'd say these statements are generally true, but being that American Evangelicalism is applied to a diverse number of denominations and spiritual outlooks, there are exceptions to these statements sitting in pews within those kinds of Churches.

Yep, look at Revelations (my least favorite book in the Bible, cos it is so complicated), but two things stood out (immoral teachings, and lukewarm churches).

1. In Revelation 2:14-15, Jesus rebukes the church in Pergamum for holding on to the teaching of Balaam, which encouraged the people to indulge in sexual immorality.

Revelation 2:14-15 (NIV): "Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans."

1a. Balaam Example (False prophet speaks blasphemy about God, content warning: ages 16+)

2. In Revelation 3:15-16, Jesus warns the church in Laodicea for being lukewarm in their faith and for not realizing that they are poor, blind, and naked.

Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV): "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

2a. Lukewarm Example (Pastor kicks Bible)

2b. Lukewarm Example (Pastor desecrates church with food and syrups)

Indeed the 7 churches reflect that state of the churches conditions throughout history and today ... nothing new under the sun.

I'm not sure what to do with your truisms.

You don't address the branches of the Church that did not engage in the
Protestant Reformation.

You don't address the Lutherans, many of whom hold to a high church theology
that is very similar to Catholic theology.

Among younger American Protestants, there is a trend that the "Evangelical"
are rejecting the characteristics that were key in the 20th century, namely
the embracing of the early creeds of the united Church, and the goodness
of intellectual effort. They have become the new "liberals" (like the "liberals"
in the mainline denominations, in the 1920's).

Also, younger "Fundamentalists" are trying to call themselves "Evangelical", without
embracing the ancient creeds of the Church, or the goodness of the mind. So,
the meaning of "Evangelical" in America is hopelessly confused.

You could say that the defection of the mainline Protestant denominations, from
the ancient creeds of the united Church, was the more "radical Reformation".

I don't think that the labels that you are using, describe much of what is going on
today in North American Christianity.

Yep, but it is getting worse nowadays.

Yes, it is. And whether we're Premill or Amill, I think we can work into this an interpretation acknowledging that the World is now gradually working against the Lord more than it previously has. It is what it is, however we analytically slice and dice it.

Going to be like in the days of Noah ... mankind will progress towards its own destruction ... just before that happens the Lord will return.

Yep. Already seeing that with what Disney is doing to our favorite franchises, or with what both sides are doing to this country, and persecution around the world. We must hold our heads level, and follow God.

I grew up Evangelical Non-denom. Protestant and became Catholic about 10 years ago.
What I have discovered is that pretty much every type of people who exist in the Protestant world, have a parallel group in the Catholic world.
