• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I'm bi-polar but I dunno if I'm OCD

I get really obessed with things like CF, hurricanes, music, harry potter, CF armor, dolls, and pulling out my hair. the obession gets so bad on some things I can't even sleep. I also get obessed and scare I'm hurting people. I get very obessed with my friends. Do u think I might have OCD?

I don't think unless your actually seen by maybe a Psychiatrist or Psychotherapist, anyone could answer the question. Partly because you have said you suffer Bi-polar also, although you say you get obsessed by a lot of things, it depends when the obsession behaviour kicks in the worse. Many Bi-polar sufferers also have severe compulsions, so a specialist would have to look at are your issues, compulsive thoughts relatining to manic behaviour or are they Obsessive Compulsive thoughts.

I think that only a psychiatrist would be able to tell you if you are OCD or not. I believe that there is medication on the market for it as well that if you decide to go to a pyschiatrist, you could inquire about medication(s).
