I guess he means that it won't be tolerated anymore.

I guess he doesn't support free speech on college campuses anymore.
speech that causes or induces others to cause violence against others should not be tolerated

If we can trust one side I guess we can trust the other. IDF says two civilians have been killed for every combatant because Hamas uses human shields
But there are no reports that HAMAS are consistently using human shields for every attack.
I don't trust the IDF's mischaracterization of "human shields" because then, aren't they clever, there is no such thing as "civilian deaths" anymore. EVERY death can be construed as "human shield" or a possible human shield but Hamas really doesn't do that with significant regularity.

Moreover, if you know that the enemy is using human shields, I'd say that there's some level of moral obligation to find a way to attack your enemy that minimizes innocent deaths. Because most of the cases where the IDF claims "human shields" are simply cases where members of Hamas have dispersed into the community or have situated a base in the middle of a civilian area. The "shields" are not willing participants.

How do you know what Hamas does?

Reading.

It's actually pretty easy to be informed properly.
For example:
There is only 2 actual incidents where Palestinians were ACTUAL human shields and those were both back in 2014.

Nowadays, what they DO do, is store things in residential areas and have military operations headquartered near residential areas...not unlike....how was IDF spelled again?

What do you call it when you build your headquarters under a hospital and you’re a terrorists organization? And I guess building bunkers and tunnels under residential areas is not technically using human shields.

And what would be the “honest” thing to do, at this juncture?
They could have started by not killing civilians, raping women, killing children and taking hostages.

Of note - the US didn't (generally) bomb entire villages/towns/cities flat just because intelligence indicated that the Taliban or ISIS was there. Rather, they sent in ground forces and rooted them out. The IDF seems to have a very strong aversion to Israeli casualties in this conflict, which is probably a good characteristic to have in a broad sense, but not when it means using tactics that result in disproportionate civilian casualties. I would be willing to wager that they could have killed or captured those 12,000 militants with far fewer than 24,000 deaths in the IDF.

I’m not going to try to tell them how to run their war. There have been a high number of civilian casualties but I blame Hamas as much as Israel. They knew what they were getting into when they started this.

Why not? We're funding it. Killing two civilians for every combatant is completely unacceptable, no matter what the combatants are doing.

Hamas certainly isn't blameless, but Israel is the one making the decision to drop the bombs when they have other alternatives - whether that's smaller munitions or making more use of ground forces. It's by no means a 50/50 split.
