Biden Says He Was Still VP During 'The Pandemic' and Obama Sent Him to ‘Fix It’

Speaking at a dinner for the NAACP in Detroit, Michigan, Biden went on a tangent proclaiming he was on the ground in the state to help out, at the request of former President Barack Obama.
“And when I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic,” Biden said. It was unclear which pandemic Biden was referring to, or if he instead meant the Great Recession.
Ah, the article says perhaps Joe was referring to the Great Recession. Was that a kind of pandemic? I hadn't realized. Expect the newscasters at the debate to be just as objective.

I Must Ditch T-Mobile

I bought a phone last month and T Mobile was the cheapest and only one of 2 available in my area. But I was reading a sermon on a Christian website and noted an ad to look at some girls photos that were "very revealing." Awhile later a similar ad appeared with another woman, same sort of enticing bait. I've been on that same website on desktop and there are no ads.

So I entered "T-Mobile Woke" into Google and was met with the epitome of abomination! Besides all this there are telemarketers calling me, it won't let me on Facebook, saying it's a security risk and someone is trying to steal my info, along with other legitimate sites. I can't sign in to CF from the phone. I think I need to return it to Walmart and look for something else. I can't consciously pay $50 a month that a portion knowingly goes to a godless agenda. The lustful ads in the middle of a written sermon were what tipped me off something was a miss.

The following is right from their own website!

"Creating a connected world is at the heart of what we do, and we couldn’t do it without a culture of equity, respect, and inclusion. When we bring our experiences together, we forge communities that thrive.

We're stronger when we embrace diversity.

Investing in a more inclusive society.

We’ll continue to provide funding for impactful programs needed to navigate—and thrive—in our connected world.

"While T-Mobile recognizes that support at the national level is important and continues through partnerships with GLSEN, Happy Hippies and HRC to improve the quality of life of at-risk LGBTQIA+ community members, it’s vital to show that there is power in every single voice. Spotlighting how individuals can make an impact shows that Pride is Power.

The anti-transgender legislation making news of late is more than just a headline for the people interviewed in this spotlight. Everyone featured says that telling their story is an actionable item in the ways they want to celebrate Pride this year. It is how they are being advocates for their community, making an impact. From Seattle to Wichita to Memphis and Colorado Springs, their stories include gender-affirming treatments that they say T-Mobile’s health benefits made possible, or changing chosen names on work badges and pronouns with co-workers. They’re experiences that help shape T-Mobile’s own advocacy practices that now include things such as a thorough transition guide and employee handbook of policies designed to create a better experience for co-workers across the company who come out as trans at work.

“Our Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) is a place where our employees can bring their ideas about how to make our workplace better for all,” says Jen Palmer (She/Her), senior director of T-Mobile’s Technology Project Management Office and the chair of the Pride ERG. “We take great pride in consistently looking at new ways to improve experiences. Whether it’s encouraging all to add their pronouns to badges and email signatures, or recommending inclusive language on our restroom signage, or looking at our own internal systems and fixing issues that may pop up when a colleague changes their name. As we hear from our employees, we also continually evaluate our benefits to ensure they meet the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community."

The growth of the Seed

As you know, there are four kinds of people in this world.

Those who hear the word, but do not understand it, so that another philosophy will take over.

Those who hear the word, understand maybe a part of it, but not enough to overcome "persecution", as their faith is shallow.

Those who hear the word, who understand it a little was well, but do not overcome the worries of life and the temptation of riches, maybe not because they had a shallow faith just to fit in, but because they deceive themselves (outdone by conquering plants).

Then there are those who hear the word, and understand it to the extent, that it may produce fruit.

I am still perplexed how people get baptised, but then fail to understand the rest of the Bible, clearly, not even the baptism has been understood!

I even met a priest, who didn't believe in God. So you could even be a priest, probably studied the word for a few years in college, and still fall for another philososphy.

But granted, I will tell you, despite having read the Bible for 14 years, I was not revealed the Man of Sin until recently.

Let no man deceive you by any means, for that Day shall not come, unless there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth as God in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.

Brethren, you know what the Temple of God is. Shall we hasten his coming?

Can we make the Seed grow faster?

The Mark of the Beast Is ‘Active Even Now,’ Pastor Matt Chandler Says

Texas Pastor Matt Chandler of The Village Church in Flower Mound recently shared why he believes the “mark of the beast,” as mentioned in the Bible in Revelation 13, is “active even now.” In a video posted to Instagram, Chandler spoke on the mark of the best and that people his age view it as a credit card, a phone, or a chip embedded in people’s hands. In his view, however, Chandler says that perspective is “to miss the point that’s being made” in Revelation.

“The perfect number is number seven, and so if seven is complete, six is incomplete,” he explained. “We also know that the number three means complete. And so 666, the mark of the beast, is really to show that the work of the enemy is completely—three sixes—incomplete. And so this is, really, what the enemy produces: complete incompleteness.”

The mark of the beast “is not Elon Musk putting something in our brains or something like that,” Chandler continued, noting the number 666 on people’s foreheads represents “ideological belief,” and the number on people’s hands depicts “the practice of that ideological belief.”
Chandler went on to contend that the mark of the beast is currently active in society.
“I think the way you’re even seeing this today,” he said, “is there are certain, especially in the business community now, ideological beliefs you must have in order to participate in the economy. And I think we’re going to see this get worse.”

God sends them a strong delusion. Is God a deceiver?

Isaiah 45:

7 I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.
Ultimately, God does everything.

2 Thessalonians 2:

9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing,
Satan plays his part. He does the actual deception. He is the deceiver.

because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
These people play their part. They are responsible for refusing to love God.

11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion,
God does his part. He sends the delusion.

so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The wicked refused to love the truth. God permits Satan to deceive them. Satan performs the actual deceiving. Satan is the deceiver.

Is God a deceiver?

No, God is not a deceiver in the sense that he habitually deceives people. On the contrary, God tells the truth all the time but the wicked refuse to believe.

Followers of mainstream Christianity and their eternal destination

Hello,

Where do followers of mainstream Christianity go when they die? Heaven or hell? The Bible seems to say both.

Heaven. Because:

Ephesians 2:8, ''For by grace are you saved through faith...''

Matthew 5:19. ''Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven...''

Hell. Because:

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ ''And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’'

Romans 2:13, ''for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.''

2 Peter 3:16-17, ''as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness''.

So, where do they end up? Heaven or hell?

Thanks

Cohen - the convicted perjurer - admitted liar is now an admitted thief

NEW YORK (Reuters) -Donald Trump's former fixer Michael Cohen testified on Monday that he stole money from Trump's company, an admission that could chip away at his credibility as a star witness at the former U.S. president's hush money trial.
Questioned by Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche, Cohen acknowledged stealing from the Trump Organization by including a reimbursement to a technology company in his bonus package and pocketing most of the money.
"So you stole from the Trump Organization, right?" Blanche asked.
"Yes sir," Cohen, 57, testified.
Cohen said he paid roughly $20,000 of the $50,000 that Trump's company owed to the tech company in cash, handing it off in a brown paper bag at his office. He said he kept the rest. He was reimbursed $100,000 total by the Trump Organization for that payment.
Cohen is the final and most important witness for New York prosecutors as they seek to convince a jury that Trump broke the law by covering up a $130,000 payment that bought the silence of porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 election.
But as a convicted felon and admitted liar, Cohen is a problematic witness. Prosecutors have buttressed his testimony with documentary evidence, while Trump's lawyers have sought to undermine Cohen's credibility through his cross-examination.
Yeah - this isn't a political attack at all -

Bless your heart, Jimmy.

And now Trump glitches out

Donald Trump's "glitch" during NRA speech raises questions

a different source had said it was a teleprompter issue but that hasnt been confirmed.
and as IF it's a teleprompter issue. Trump taunts and insults Biden for his use of teleprompter, as do people here on this very website.

So I feel confident that it is not a teleprompter issue. Trump wouldn't lie about that.

And so we're left with a mitch McConnell episode. His first.

Is there other evidence Trump is unfit for presidency?

Priest in UK Spreads Vulgar Sermon [Article recommended for ages 17+]

This one does not even need an AI summary. A priest by the name of Fr. Thomas McHale (American residing in UK) preached on Good Friday, that Jesus had His plantain enlargen during the crucifixion (keeping it clean here). Gross. Sadly, this creepy priest was not removed from the church. We should pray that this man repents for his disgusting perversion of the Easter journey.

Is Roberts Timing Planned Alito, Thomas Exits?

Like most of you, I'm shocked, disappointed and unsurprised that the Supreme Court made an ethics policy and promptly threw it in the trash.
Presiding over this is a Chief Justice who is always said to be concerned about his legacy.
The outright unchecked corruption and borderline treason of Thomas and Alito will justifiably be condemned by current and future historians. So what's up?
A political Chief Justice is, I believe waiting to ax them until there is a Republican president and Senate--even if in the meantime their graft piles up.
Should Trump win (heaven forbid) they'll be out the door, to be replaced by younger compromised replacements like Aileen Cannon.
Not that adding manipulation to shielding corruption would move him up from the reserved position of worst Chief Justice ever.
Jeffrey Toobin was very prophetic in writing about Roberts in "The Nine."

Reporters Without Borders World Press Freedom Index 2024 - Is it Trustworthy?

After reading through the 2024 World Press Freedom Index, I have come to the conclusion that RSF as an organization can no longer the trusted to be objective. It's ranking of countries are totally unbelievable. Take for example South Africa rank 38 which is far higher than respectable countries like Australia, Italy, Poland, South Korea & Japan. Really? You mean to tell me that I'm better off being a journalist in SA than say Japan. It's safer and easier to get information in SA than say Italy.

They dare say that press freedom is under attack when they come up with such a listing. What a farce.

The Problem with AI is people

As a USA Today piece recently observed, on its own at least, AI clearly is still working out some kinks. But, of course, AI is not on its own, so at least for now, the real threat remains fallen humans using AI to spread falsehood, gain power, hurt others, and try to become superhuman.

Examples of this also abound. Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Jack Brewster recently described “How I Built an AI-Powered, Self-Running Propaganda Machine for $105.” It took him just two days to launch his so-called “pink slime” news site capable of generating and publishing thousands of false stories every day using AI, which could self-fund with ads.

The whole process required, as he put it, “no expertise whatsoever,” and could be tailored to suit whatever political bias or candidate he chose. Readers would have no clear way of distinguishing the auto-generated fake news from real journalism, or of knowing that Buckeye State Press, the name Brewster assigned his phony website, was only a computer making things up according to his political specifications. Even worse, the one human that Brewster spoke with in the process of setting up the site was a web designer in Pakistan who claimed to have already built over 500 similar sites (and likely not for reporters interested in exposing this problem). The news and information rating service NewsGuard has identified over a thousand such “pink slime” news sites so far and claims that many are “secretly funded and run by political operatives.”

Questions like, “What is the truth?” and “Who is actually telling it?” will become more important than ever as AI technology takes off and is used by unscrupulous people to flood the internet, newsfeeds, and airwaves with misinformation. Christians will need a great deal more discernment than we currently cultivate, and a hesitancy to believe everything we see, especially when it reinforces our biases and assumptions.

More importantly, we’ll need to carefully weigh out which tasks and activities are irrevocably human and shouldn’t be outsourced to machine learning. This question is already urgent. The Associated Press reported last year on an AI avatar that “preached” a “sermon” to a gathering of German liberal protestants. Recently, a major Catholic apologetics website announced an “interactive AI” chatbot named “Father Justin,” who supposedly provides “a new and appealing way for searchers to begin or continue their journey of faith.” It didn’t take long for “Father Justin” to be “demoted.” If it needs to be said, following spiritual advice from AI is a terrible idea.

In his book 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity, Dr. John Lennox argued that it’s not alarmist to note how some of the main AI pioneers openly espouse transhumanism. At the heart of this worldview is a very old lie, first whispered by a snake in a Garden, that humans “shall be like God.” We can acknowledge that without denying the legitimate, helpful, and humane uses of AI.

DEI Messaging in Gaming - Hypocrisy at it's finest

Ubisoft just release a trailer for their new Assassin's Creed franchise set in Japan. Guess who the protagonist is? Yasuke the black "samurai". For those who don't know Yasuke he is a black servant of a Jesuit priest, Alessandro Valignano gifted to lord Oda Nobunaga during the 15th century. Yasuke is the name given to him by Nobunaga. He was a bodyguard and weapon's barer to Nobunaga. Yasuke didn't play a big role in Nobunaga's ambitions. In fact there are very little written about Yasuke's exploits. And the historical records do not mention Nobunaga ever conferring any title of samurai to him. The closest Nobunaga ever said anything is making Yasuke a "dono" (lord) in jest. The most pivotal moment of his life is after his master's death in Kyoto. Long story short Nobunaga was betrayed by one of his retainers Mitsuhide Akechi and Yasuke being his bodyguard was spared after Nobunaga's death. Mitsuhide didn't even counted Yasuke as a samurai letting him go as compared to other guards of Nobunaga.

Yasuke is not pivotal to Japan's history. He was more of an oddity due to his skin color and height of that time period in Japan. While he is remembered as part of Nobunaga's entourage, he is but only a mere footnote. The fact that the west try to place more importance to Yasuke than the Japanese themselves show a level of historical revisionism. And the progressives are making sure they can change history to suit their narrative. After the release of the trailer on Youtube which is downvoted to near oblivion, scores of people rushed to Wikipedia to try and change the entry of Yasuke. To make him into a true samurai by literally rewriting history. No history is sacred to the "DEI" messaging such as black Hannibal & black Cleopatra. Yasuke the first "black samurai" is no different.

Everyone knows that Yasuke was chosen by the developers due to his ethnicity. In short DEI messaging. In doing so have done a great dis-service to the historical source they took from. Gaming sites rushed to defend Ubisoft. And the usual gaslighting of gamers as bigoted and racist start. I even caught one gaming site (IGN) having 2 different takes for a similar issue. IGN complained that Capcom can't remake Resident Evil 5 due to racism having a white protagonist gun down black zombies. While not placing the same standard of a black protagonist slaughtering Japanese civilians of rival clans. They even have a line in the article "We Mustn’t Be Afraid to Dream a Little Bigger". Yes until it doesn't match the DEI messaging.

Do I have a problem of a black samurai protagonist? Yes, only because the western gaming world is inconsistent with their morals and messaging. Double standards are the only standard apparently. DEI is where games go to D-I-E.

Americans Arrested in Democratic Republic of Congo Coup Attempt

Authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) said Sunday they had arrested several foreigners who were allegedly involved in a thwarted coup attempt after a shootout in the capital left three people dead.

Congolese army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Sylvain Ekenge told state television in a brief statement that the coup attempt had been swiftly stopped by Congolese security forces.

The U.S. ambassador tweeted that she had received reports that U.S. citizens were involved, and local media published footage of two men under arrest, their hands clasped pleadingly, with pictures of a passport that indicated one was a 36-year-old U.S. citizen born in Maryland. Media reports indicated that three other Americans were also arrested. The reports could not be independently confirmed.

The coup attempt appears to have been led by Christian Malanga, a 41-year-old man who set up a political organization among the Congolese diaspora in the United States and proclaimed himself president of Congo in exile. Congolese intelligence suspected him of previously trying to assassinate President Joseph Kabila, said Dino Mahtani, who has held senior positions for the United Nations in Congo; Kabila was president from 2001 to 2019.

Mahtani said Congolese intelligence had previously told him that Malanga was a former U.S. military officer of Congolese origin; Malanga himself posted online that he had been an Air Force junior ROTC cadet and had led a Congolese military unit.

Suggestions for establishing discipline for prayer at home.

Greetings,

I have been trying to slowly develop a habit of praying every day (my hope is one day to live up to the ideal of the Didache 3x a day). I struggle to be consistent and it is often a source of guilt and frustration. Anyone have any suggestions on ways to cultivate discipline around prayer.

God's plans and mine

I have what seems to me to be a reasonable set of plans for what to do in my life in the future. But Proverbs 3:5-6 say, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart...lean not unto your own understanding..." I have been mystified by the gray area between God's will and my will. Because of my wavering faith, I may at some points wholeheartedly commit to something like what it says in the passage referred to, but at other times waver away from that and be concentrating on my agenda, all the while fully aware that God can do what he wants with us and our plans. I am living on a shrinking amount of savings and I have some specific plans as to career and as to reversing the outflow of money from me. We all naturally want God to rubber stamp/bless our own plans and projects, but Christians typically warn against such an approach. I am not sure if I will know if God is saying "Go ahead with your plans" or else "Do something else." As to career paths, it seems some Christians just go ahead with their own best thinking/planning while others claim to be clearly called by God to certain paths. Of course, many of those in ministry say they were called by God into the ministry. But, for example, I know of one woman who was a high-powered lawyer who said God clearly directed her to become a counselor in a rehab center in another state for half her income as a lawyer. So, I am cautiously going ahead with my plans while being aware that God could direct me to change them. My question is, how might I know it if God directs my paths?

My sister…

As some of you know, she is back on the mental facility. She has stopped taking calls and tried to escape around 4am this morning. She refused to take her medication and is becoming extremely argumentative with the care team. She was in with a roommate and was so argumentative towards here that they had to remove my sister into a room by herself. My sister is not a big woman but it took 3 EMT’s to removed her from her couch to the ambulance. My concern is she will become increasingly combative and violent. She told her husband that Jesus accepted her into Heaven so there is fear of another suicide attempt. Please pray for this situation if you think about it. We are all exhausted and worried.

Thank you! :praying:
