6 days where? At the north and south pole a day lasts for 6 months, so they only have one day a year. If you go by sunrise and sunset. Of course light is refracted so they still have the northern lights. Just no direct sun light.
Did God not know how man would calculate a full day? That there would be some variations? Evening and the morning

“In the far northern latitudes, the days are divided in the following manner: About the beginning of summer, the sun almost touches the horizon once every 24 hours. When it reaches its lowest point, one day ends and another begins. About the beginning of winter, the sun comes up to, or almost up to, the horizon once every 24 hours. This also divides the days. The effect is that near the beginning of summer the seventh day is from midnight to midnight. Over the next six months, the beginning of the days drops back rapidly until near the beginning of winter the seventh day is from noon until noon. The sun touching, or almost touching, the horizon corresponds to sunset in both cases.

6 days where? At the north and south pole a day lasts for 6 months, so they only have one day a year.
Obviously not else they couldn't have a calendar such as we use.

In Biblical times the scene is set in that area of the world. That don't mean there weren't variations elsewhere ... they were unknown at that time. So there is some variation in the length of what a day is according to how we calculate it. He defined the proper observance as being in general from evening to evening where ever one lives.

Because something happens at a certain "time" in one time zone ... don't discount that it didn't happen. When did something actually happen? It happened according to their time zone.

Time is relative to one's frame of reference. The time frame (frame of reference) in regard to biblical accounts were those known and understood by them. We have come to know there are different frames of reference and have defined them.

Genesis 1 marks days from evening to morning as a natural extension of God turning darkness into light. This tradition continued through the New Testament period and is practiced today by many observant Jews (and 7th day Sabbath keepers. Christians are not bound to divide days the same way, but an understanding of the Jewish way of reckoning time is basic to understanding some of the cultural practices in the Bible and how some things were determined.

almost touching, the horizon
The atmosphere refracts the light from the sun. So we see unset five minutes after it actually happens. The Bible on day four is clearly talking about what God has done and is doing in the firmament.

Hi yes Genesis is very clear everything God created before the flood was destroyed in the flood so God began a new creation with Noah and everything on the ark.
It would take 6 days 1000 years long the end result mankind in the image of God that man is Jesus Christ and the multitude of believers he presents to the Father all pretty simple really we are told this at the very beginning of Genesis.

Love and Peace

The Jewish calendar is designed to do exactly that. Where ever they are in the world they can use their calendar to determine when their religious observations take place. Of course Passover and Pentecost are most important for the Church today.

In Genesis we read the "Sons of God" went down to Earth and took human women as wives and bore these monsters called the "Nephilim"
I can not believe how many people think that angels had sex with humans. Jesus clearly teaches that angels do not procreate the way people do. Matthew 22:30 ". 30 In the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven."

The Sons of God are the descendants of Adam. The sons of man are the people that today we call gentiles that are not Jewish and not descended from Adam in the Garden of Eden. Science does have their own Adam and Eve that everyone is descended from. At the time of Jesus, He referred to the gentiles as dogs. The disciples on the day of pentacost were very surprised that the gentiles could receive the Holy Spirit and be saved.

So God created a new sun, moon and stars after the flood of Noah? Did Noah sail around the world and pick everything up and then after the flood sail around again to take everything back where he got it from?

Hi Diomand72
Thank you for your reply God began a new creation with Noah and everything on the ark the onlything missing was mankind in the image of God one man on his own is not in the image of God man in the image of God is Jesus Christ at his second comming with the multitude of believers this is man in the image of God.

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

This is said of Jesus Christ and no other person in scripture so Christ with the multitude of believers at his second comming is man in the image of God the last Adam the last Adam and the first Adam would be created in the same way.

As for the sun moon and stars of the forth day they are symbolic for Christ the light of the world the moon his bride the stars the children of God the forth day is 4000 years after Noah.

Love and Peace
