Not trying to change anyone's mind about this. What is the Biblical case against pre-marital sex? I have read some about this, is there a book that is scholarly that discusses the topic in great detail? I have not really seen anything that does that supports that position. Usually pre-marital sex is covered as an afterthought, after discussing the (much less common) issue of homosexuality or adultery. Please don't respond if you are just going to make an argument from the word "porneia" or you haven't done any serious research on the topic.

Obeying God and not having premarital sex is win win. Doesn't winning count for anything these days? Why burden marriage? Giving it your honest commitment is about the best that we can do. God will help in the rest.

First of all, the concept of marriage maybe entirely different according to the Bible against what we popularly know.
There has been no mention of specific rituals or vows to be conducted, in fact, Jesus warned against making any form of vows and made no exception.
What I think is that the person you coupled with and decided to live with the rest of your life is automatically your husband or wife even with the complete absence of the notion of wedding or any legalized form of union.
Premarital sex is therefore, meaningless....
The issue is fornication and adultery. Fornication is when you go with another person where the reason is mostly to have sex. Adultery is when you have multiple partners.
That is the Bible....
But if I talk about what God really wants, here it is:
- The only sexual union that is not sin is between both women (same pair, not multiple partners) and self-pleasuring regardless if they're married or not.
- Any other form of sex is sin. This is due to the fall and the consequences which only few people in the world knows. Any other forms of sex perpetuates the evil that resulted after the fall.
