1 : study of or analysis or classification based on types or categories

2 : a doctrine of theological types especially: one holding that things in Christian belief are prefigured or symbolized by things in the Old Testament

You're learning!

Now -- can you apply that knowledge to the Scriptures?

Don't worry.

It takes study, study, study.

As we're fond of saying:

Jesus is on every page of the Bible.

I have to say: you're not really the poster child for talking about combing 'knowledge' and 'scripture'. But I'll just leave it there.

What Was 'The Ark Of The Covenant' ?

The ark of the covenant of the LORD.

The ark was a holy chest that God instructed the Israelites
to build. The physical Tabernacle or Sanctuary of old time
was patterned after the heavenly things shown to Moses.

It is said to have been a chest made of acacia wood, overlaid with gold, and containing the stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments. The Ark was also said to have housed the rod of Aaron, which budded, and a pot of manna.
It is called in various places in the bible “the ark of God,”
“The ark of the Eternal,” “the ark of the God of Israel,”
“The ark of the Lord of all the Earth.”

The contents of the Ark, items Covenant with God and Isreal.
First, you have God’s law, His Ten Commandments.

Then you have a government, represented by (Aaron’s rod) that
implements that law. There was one man, Moses, who governed
Israel, under God in the wilderness. Moses died and was replaced
by Joshua who enforced the law for God. (Joshua 4:14)

Rebels rose up in questing Gods government. A form of lottery
was taken and Aaron's rod budded and not the rebels' rods.

When you have God’s law and government, then He will feed you
manna, or spiritual food. God reveals it only to “babes,” and those
submissive to Him. There was a physical ark anciently and there
is a spiritual ark today. Spiritual Israel, the Church, keeps the spirit
of the law today.

Alot we can learn from The Ark of The Covenant of all the Earth.

The Ark of the Covenant was used by the Israelites in battle. It is said that when the Ark was carried into battle, the Israelites were victorious.
Yet despite the presence of the Ark, the Israelites suffered a
devastating defeat, and the Ark was captured by the Philistines.

The elders of Israel decided themselfs to take the Ark onto the battlefield
to assist them against the Philistines, having recently been defeated at
the battle of Eben-Ezer, they where not being instructed by God to do so.

"The old priest, Eli, fell dead when he heard it, and his daughter-
in-law, bearing a son at the time the news of the Ark's capture
was received, named him Ichabod—explained as "The glory has
departed Israel" in reference to the loss of the Ark" where God dwelled.

It was not "if the ark was with them" that won battles but
"if God was with them" and they "obeyed" what He instructed.

Judges: one of the bloodiest books in the Bible. They no longer had a
Moses or Joshua to point them to the ark of the Lord. Israel no longer
wanted God’s rule over them.

However, there are also accounts of the Ark being captured
by the Philistines and used against the Israelites.

I do not remember the Philistines using the ark against Israelites.
The Philistines took the Ark to several places in their country, and
at each place misfortune befell them, like at the temple of Dagon.

The people of Ashdod and of Gath and of Ekron where the Ark was
successively removed, may have been smitten with the bubonic plague.
After just seven months, the Philistines where desperate to return it.

The Ark also helps bring down the walls of Jericho.

The Ark of the covenant of the LORD played a role in the walls falling-
down only in the sense that they obeyed what God instructed them to do.
The Ark of the covenant did not produce sound helping the walls fall down.

The bible says [God struct them down], not the ark killing them.

Did you know that Donald Trump has a replica of the Ark in his home.

"Some people believe that the Ark of the Covenant was a giant
Leyden jar. A Leyden jar is a type of capacitor, which is a device
that stores electrical charge."

Not sure if we should get our religious doctrine from
"The Neighborhood Electrician".

I had to look up what a Leyden jar was. It sounds/looks
and made of nothing like the Ark of the Covenant.

Discovery of the Leyden jar in van Musschenbroek's lab.
"The static electricity produced by the rotating glass sphere
electrostatic generator was conducted by the chain through the
suspended bar to the water in the glass held by Andreas Cunaeus.

A large charge accumulated in the water and an opposite charge
in Cunaeus's hand on the glass. When he touched the wire dipping
in the water, he received a powerful shock"

The bible does not describe the ark being made like this, nor was
it made with these materials or mentions an electrical device.

The Ark of the Covenant is said to have been made of
acacia wood, which is a good conductor of electricity.

Dry wood is considered an insulator and does not conduct elec-
tricity or thermal energy very well, nor does it create electricity.
Wood that is moist and contains impurities such as salts can con-
duct electricity. Practical purposes, wood is considered an insulator.

The bible does not mention [wet wood] or [filled with water] in the
construction. Dry wood lacks free-flowing electrons to conduct electricity.
I would say the Ark of the covenant was not polluted with impurities.

The gold overlay on the Ark would have also helped to conduct electricity.

The gold overlay helped to conduct electricity?

The Leyden jar does not create electricity but only stores it.

In the picture above, the jar would be the wooden ark.
The water would be in the jar/ark with the metal chain.
The tinfoil/gold would be on the inside and outside of the jar/box.
a Leyden jar that stores electricity from all these parts/the ark.

The [tinfoil/gold] and [glass jar/wooden box] material is used
to store electricity in the Leyden jar. Then they try to use the
same materials to claim that it generates electricity.

How could the glass/wood be part of the storage material, and
also be the only form of electrical generation at the same time.

The two cherubim on the Ark would have acted as
the positive and negative terminals of the capacitor.

The Ark of the Covenant was built after a “tabernacle” that exists
in heaven. The Mercy Seat (Exodus 25:17) and two golden cherubim
(Exodus 25:18-21) were placed on top of the Ark of the Covenant.

Hebrews 9:5 adds that the cherubim covered the Mercy Seat.
The mercy seat was a symbol of God’s merciful throne. Would
the real Cherubim's in heaven also be capacitor terminals?

God spoke with Moses "from between the two cherubim" .
1 Chronicles 13:6 where God is dwelling between the cherubim's.
That depicts how God’s actual throne looks in heaven.

The mercy seat/lid made of pure gold with two cherubim of gold on both
ends, hammered on, wings touching each other. One solid piece of gold,
that is not separated by an insulating material, known as the dielectric.
Without the insulation it would not be called a capacitor pos/neg posts.

So did Moses build some sort of an electical device ?

Just No.

More and more people of science try to explain away the power
of God, and the strong Arm of The Lord, and His mighty miracles.

ps The Neighborhood Electrician does not know how to spell electrical

How come it killed if touched & could only be carried by the Levites who wore special garments ?
In ancient Israel, the ark symbolized God’s presence.
Located in the holy of holies inside the tabernacle,
it was a symbol of God’s throne and rule from Jerusalem.

God gave Moses and Aaron specific instructions about the Tent
of Meeting and the movement of the Ark, they did not follow.

God is loving and merciful, but He is also holy, and He defends
His holiness with His power, and affronts to His holiness some-
times bring about His holy wrath. “It is a dreadful thing to fall
into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31).

"But they must not touch the holy things or they will die."

Why did God strike Uzzah dead for touching the Ark of the Covenant?

Nothing in the biblical text says that electricity killed Uzzah, or anyone,
Nor anything about electrical protection clothing used by the priests.

What was the significance of the priestly garments?

"God used these distinctive garments to set His spiritual
leaders apart from the other Israelites. Each piece of the
priestly garments held significance related to the work
the priests performed."

Jeremiah 33:14-22
17For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit
upon the throne of the house of Israel; neither shall the priests
the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and
to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

20Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day,
and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day
and night in their season; 21then may also my covenant be broken
with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign
upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers."
