I am willing to accept the verdict - those who are celebrating and mocking - I have a question.

1. Do you accept the courts verdict - yes/no
Yes
2. When he appeals will you still accept the courts verdict - even if it reverses this one? yes/no
Yes
Let's find out how much we accept courts verdicts....

Frankly I am surprised by this verdict. By all accounts the case was pretty weak. Will be interesting to see what errors the Trump team tries to bring up as a good reason to overturn the verdict.

As I feel that there is not a snowball's chance in Tampa he couldd have gotten the fair trial the law demands I am not sure how to answer that do I plan to act violently there the answer is no.

Sure, Sure.

"But at any rate, the matter is now in the court system. Let the chips, verdicts and/or plea deals fall where they may."

Well Biden is a sex offender, has committed felonies, mishandled classified information, and is an extreme racist, but he's a Democrat, so it's a shrug of the shoulder. Don't act as if the Democrats are the morally superior party.

All prior occupants of the White House, and most people, are morally superior to Donald Trump.

This is the man who on tape, said he can grab women by......
....and then paid the National Inquirer to "catch and kill" the story of his sleeping with a porn star.

He was elected anyway. And today, rather than hold him to account, many continue to deflect and attack our system of justice.

Your average citizen sees Trump having a lifelong history in crimes of racism, business fraud, tax fraud, and sexual assault, but not being held accountable. Currently he's been convicted of rape, tax fraud, business fraud, and now hush money and election interference. Many thought and his supporters hoping he would get away with this as well. Good for the country to see justice served in such a seemingly clear-cut case.

Absolutely yes on both, but Merchan ran a very tight ship and was assiduous in his application of the law. He ran the trial exactly as someone who has $50 million of defense lawyers questioning his every move. "No fair" does not impress appeals courts.

I have not voted Republican for president since Bush 1 and I would of voted for her over Biden.
I don't know which hurts my esteem for you more, the fact that you said you would vote for Nikki Haley or the fact that you wrote "would of" :fearscream:

I dont like that people call it the "hush money trial". Thats just leveraging Trumps marital infidelity against him.

Its falsifying business records in service of a another crime.

Democrats are the superior party.
It is for now. Its the refuge for moderates, basically, as the R party purges itself of anyone with the integrity to stand up to "stop the steal" nonsense, etc.

Its a shame, as I would like to see principled conservatism have a voice.

God bless America. Even $50 million dollars of legal representation can't fool a twelve-member jury when the truth is owned by the prosecution.
50 million? I could have got him convicted for 25.

Lies have consequences.
Consequences of lying
----------------------
Consequence 1: Trump won the 2016 election partly because the payment was covered up.

Consequence 2: Trump lies about the 2020 election and continues to lead in the polls in critical states.

Yes. I would also accept a pardon from the governor, if applicable. It's going to be a long wait for the appeals process to play out. I don't expect the sentence to be much more than a slap on the wrist, but the stain on Trump's record would be a bad one, so I expect him to fight tooth and nail to get the convictions overturned. Fortunately, he has many devoted fans who will happily pay for his legal fees.
