It isn't, least of all Catholicism, but Protestants have a significant hurdle to overcome which is the inaccurate prejudicial teaching they hear from pastors and books and comics against the Catholic Church.

I think there is a lot that can be learned by studying what happened to the Waldensians by the Catholic church. I don't see that as a hurdle but an awakening to how a denomination can become very twisted and corrupt if they are not careful.

I wonder sometimes why some folk do what you've done in your post. Why do you think it is legitimate to post on a thoroughly debunked view of history as an answer on the use of the phrase "the word of God" in the holy scriptures?

I won't continue the side topic here, but you shouldn't try to make your denomination out to be so virtuous and innocent before everyone, as if you're being wrongly maligned on here at times. Some of us here actually read history a bit and know differently.
