I have some reservations regarding teens. I'm not saying nudism is bad in any way, just that the teen years are a risky time to START. Start younger and it is simply natural by the teen years. But if one has been in a social set where one always is covered then starting with not being covered may not be the best idea during the time when one is sexaully awakening.

I was in my teens when I first got involved with nudism. It did not do any harm to me, even though I was not raised as a nudist. Even a 12-year-old textile who goes to a nudist beach or club party will soon figure out that after a while it's no big deal to socialise dressed or undressed with others.

There may be initial sexual tension for the first few visits, but eventually your body and mind become accustomed to the environment and you just behave normally.

"Social nudism is wrong because it can provoke lust."

I will tell you all from personal experience that being at a nudist resort is anything but sexually provocative.

No normal man or woman would feel lustful or anything like it.

Why? Because there are no clothes and therefore nothing for the imagination to fantasize about.

Furthermore most of us look a whole lot better with our clothes than without.

Mature men and women reject fear.

Go to a camp, get naked and see for yourself.

I knew a young man (Jeremy) who was raised by parents who were nudists. As such, he spent a lot of time at a nudist colony.

One day, we were all at the beach, when an absolutely gorgeous, incredibly well-built woman in a tiny bikini walked up to our group and asked if she could borrow a cell phone to call AAA. I loaned her mine, she stood with our group for a few minutes while she made the call, then she handed back the phone and thanked me.

Later, that evening, we were at a bar. Myself and the other girl in our group were at the table, the boys were playing pool. Jeremy excused himself from the pool table and walked up to a woman at the bar. He chatted with her for a moment and they exchanged phone numbers before he returned to the pool table. The guys started heckling him about who was she and so on...

Though she stood in front of our group for several minutes, of all the guys, only Jeremy was able to recognize her face later when he saw her in the bar.

Here's an absolutely incredible story out of Indiana:
Last week, two middle school students in Valparaiso, Ind., were caught sending nude pictures of themselves to each other on their cell phones. The students were caught when the 13-year-old girl's cell phone rang in class, and her teacher confiscated it, according to a police report. The girl cried that she would get in trouble because a 12-year-old boy sent her a "dirty picture." The boy sent the girl a picture of his genitals and requested that she do the same, the report said. The girl then texted him a picture of her naked, police said.
Okay, that's not the incredible part. That seems to be happening more and more. Here's the problem:
The students have been charged with child exploitation and possession of child pornography, both felonies. They were referred to the county's juvenile probation department, which will determine whether authorities pursue or drop the charges, Gensel said. If convicted, the students could be required to register as sex offenders, he said.
Let's hope that the juvenile probation department is sane enough to drop the charges. If they go forward with them, they will literally be ruining the lives of those two young people forever. They will likely be placed on the sex offender list for 25 years, which means they won't be able to get a job. There will be harsh limitations on where they can live and where they can go. Should they grow up and get married and have children, they will likely be forbidden from going to the school to pick them up.Punishing Sexting = Destroying Lives : Dispatches from the Culture Wars

The cell phone misuse is unfortunately common. I attribute it all to immaturity. Nudism is commonly accepted 'round the world. The practice is well defined and self regulated with rules for behaviour. Teen misbehaviour as you describe in the story is not nudism nor is it anything like it.

Lust is something we either carry with us or we do not. If you believe that being in a nudist camp results in lust then it is because you yourself are prone to that reaction.

It is then, a question of maturity.

It you were at a nudist resort and OOPS you got an erection I can guarantee you they'd throw you out of there in a New York minute.

No thanks, I liked it the way it was.

If you want to make faulty statements based entirely in ignorance, be my guest. But don't expect them to be taken as fact or left uncorrected.

I've actually known nudists, and cited an individual who grew up in that environment in a previous post. You really should get a little experience and knowledge about those folks before making accusations about them.

If what you are trying to say is true, then why do they have a "do not admit" list that is circulated to other nudist camps every 24 hours around the country? Why do they have a higher ratio (sometimes 1:1) of counselors to campers at the youth nudist camps? I'm not buying it. Seems to me if the nudists weren't concerned with the issue, these two things wouldn't be necessary.

If you believe being in a nudist camp doesn't result in lust for at least a good portion of the male half of the group, you don't know men. This is one of those things that you can legally wrangle around scripture and say it's okay, but it's probably not right.

I speak from personal experience. From whence do you speak? Conditioned prejudices?

Lust is a reaction to entertaining a fantasy. In order for a fantasy to exist there needs be something hidden which tantalizes. OH Yeah. Ain't nothin' hidden at a nudist resort, therefore no fantasy and no lust. Except maybe for you.

The way to not have any sexual feelings at all, guaranteed, is to go with a group of long time friends. This ain't opinion. This works.

The average male today is conditioned to think "hot" and the TV is loaded with BS about how girls and boys should "see" each other. Let me tell you all that is a load of poo.

As soon as this "average guy" that you cite begins seeing all the REAL female bodies, and believe me most women look much better with clothes than without, he will find that his expectations were all wrong. You won't see any implants at a resort either. Nudist women are OK as nature (God) made them, blemishes, little hairs in strange places, warts and all.

I speak from personal experience.

Before I was married I went on a double blind date to a resort. I met my wife there. Wanna know what? It was great because neither of us felt we had to pretend about anything. We were free in that sense. I didn't really enjoy all the bugs and sunburn though and never went back.

You go visit one and you'll see what I mean.

That's all well and good, but if the nudists themselves thought so purely about it, they wouldn't have to have the things I mentioned.

And no thanks, I don't believe I'll visit one, for some of the reasons you mention. I'm not all that enamoured with lewdness.

The lists you refer to are of known sex offenders. What's wrong? Did you see your name on one of them?

I have to tell you there is nothing funnier than an uptight Christian.

Ahh, insults will get you nowhere. And no, the list I was referring to is NOT a list of sexual offenders. The article specifically said that it was a list of people what were removed from any of the camps for misbehavior, not specifically having sex.

I hate that I even had to research it for myself, but the list exists, as do the higher ratio of counselors to kiddos at the youth versions of the nudist camps, etc.

Those are the facts. If nudists really believed that it was all innocent fun and games, they wouldn't have to be as strict or have a list of people they booted out. And no my name isn't on a list because I'd never visit one of those places.

Glad you're enjoying being a troll.

Same reason casinos do. And that restaurants do. The gas station by my house has a sign posted by the register of containing a list of folks that must pre-pay for gasoline. Just a couple months ago, a family was permanently banned from entering our local grocery store. This same family has also been denied entry to services at the local church after the mother refused to stop her child from running around and pulling people's hair. And any food delivery service has a list of addresses it will not deliver to.

A small percentage of the population are incorrigible jerks out to ruin it for the rest of us.

My niece's kindergarten class requires a teacher aid if the ratio goes beyond fifteen kids per teacher. One class I attended in college had 214 students in it.

There are always a higher ratio of counselors/teachers when children are involved.

Yeah, because some activities encourage such behavior (being around gambling and casinos) and some of it is just the jerks. True enough. However, it is the weight of the combined factors that shows their concern for risky behavior.
