Perhaps a rep from GC came by and saw the un-Adventist agenda's being pushed in this forum and decided enough was enough and pulled the logo?

Mark the difference. The objection was against the context in which the word was used. Using a word is different from using a word against an individual.

Sent--I never used the word 'against' anyone--it was how it was perceived that caused the problem--as usual! I used it describe the actions of those who oppose the SDA teaching and because I can't in all good conscience call what you and others are doing as 'progressive". But my words have been censured by the opposition.

And lets face it--the teachings of the progs IS shooting off from the mainstream teaching of the SDA church. There is NO getting around that FACT.

It's the baptismal pin that Pathfinders wear on their uniforms (in the NAD, anyway). Don't know if it's copyrighted, but it might serve as a solution.

I have received communication from the Seventh Day Adventist organization asking for CF to remove the logo from our site. I wanted to inform you before this action is taken so you aren't surprised when it is gone. If one of you would like to come up with a new logo that doesn't violate the SDA trademark, that would be great too.

Sorry about that, guys. I knew there was concern when I created that logo, but I contacted a couple addresses to ask..and never recieved a responce so figured it was okay.

My mom's been seriously ill lately, and I came down with a virus myself..so I haven't been online. Just taking it day by day right now. I'll try and come up with something when I get a chance.

(By the way, I'd once seen a announcement in a flyer that the use of "SDA" was also not permitted. Go figure.)

The church has distributed several reminders to pastors and others that they prefer it if people abbreviate "Seventh-day Adventist" as "Adventist" rather than "SDA." They can't really control that, though, other than in official publications.
