Ok I dont know if any of this is true because I saw it on south park but do mormons really believe native americans were white and Jesus was born in america? Do they believe that john smith found golden tablets in a spot that only he could find but then lost them and had to put his face in a magic hat so he could remember what the tablets said?

Okay, South Park is NOT the place to get information about the Mormons. How about asking over in Unorthodox theological Doctrines?
The Mormons do believe that Jesus came to the Americas after the ascension, and Joseph Smith, the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints did claim to have found golden tablets on which was inscribed the text of the Book of Mormon.
That's about where my knowledge of Mormonism ends.

I don't know anything about a magic hat, but they do say that Smith had a special pair of glasses that he used to interpret the tablets, since they were otherwise unreadable.

The members of the CoJCoLDS's believe that Jesus was born in the Holy Land, but while the Bible states Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the book of mormon states that Jesus was born in "Jerusalem" the land of their forefathers. The book of mormon teaches that the Jaredites came from Israel after the tower of Babel, but that they alone were spared the confusion of languages. DNA testing has proven that native americans are not descendents of sematic heritage.
Joseph Smith teaches that Joseph Smith was led to the golden plates by an angel of light, that he translated from the golden plates by use of two stones that God game him to interpret the reformed Egyptian text, and when the first 116 pages were translated, they were "lost" and he was unable to re-translate them.
