My favourite date night ideas now are just staying home LOL Life has been so busy the last year with school and wedding planning that the two of us enjoy just relaxing at home.
Making homemade pizza and baking cookies (and eating more than we should)

My parents always had date nights and still do (still 7 kids left at home) Sometimes their date nights looked like popcorn and a movie in their bedroom while us older kids watched the little ones. I plan to keep doing date nights even after we start our family.

hopefully, you have family who will babysit for you
:)

Well, even if we do not, I will have date nights at home as my parents do them.
My dad is great at planning date nights with my mom. Here is an example.
My dad is a pastor so getting downtime is a scarcity, but he makes it a priority. He will light candles in the downstairs family room, bring lots of snacks and drinks, banish us kids to the upstairs (older kids watch the younger with instructions not to disturb them unless its an emergency (involving blood and cut off limbs :D ), and basically lock us out. They watch movies, sometimes play piano and guitar and sing (I love listening to them when they do that), talk, listen to music and dance etc...not positively sure on everything they do. But the point is it is intentional time, set aside for each other and even though the kids are home, they still do it. They can't always go out or away and stay at home dates work in those instances.

I just purchased a Groupon for a glass blowing class! We are going to make a day of it and go to the glass museum as well.

That's a great idea. My wife and I did that and we have the somewhat ugly (but beautiful to us) glass ornaments to remember it by. Have fun!

A walk around the block, followed by Netflix and popcorn

Going for a walk is nice, because there are no distractions and you get to talk. No one to interrupt, not easy to get sucked into your phones, and no risk of falling asleep. Also, the scenery becomes a prompt!
