that is cessasionist mindset. if you follow John Mc Arthur teachings, definitely you are cessasionist. Baptist mostly cessasionist. Word-of-faith is continualist. Link below has details

It's very easy to spin Bible passages together to create any idea one wants. It doesn't make the idea biblical. What is and isn't biblical isn't about stringing together proof texts, but about thoroughly exegeting the text and understanding what the authors themselves were saying.

So no, the "law of attraction" isn't biblical. It's based off of 19th century spiritualist and occult ideas; calling them Hindu I think is insulting to Hinduism, at best it is the result of Western corruptions through 19th century "orientalism". But it is entirely not Christian, it is entirely outside of what is acceptable within mainstream, orthodox Christianity. It's not Christian religion, it's magick.

Okay. Let's just see how biblical your Law of Attraction really is:

Philippians 4:8 - No mention of the Law of Attraction whatever in this verse.
1John 4:18 - No mention of the Law of Attraction in this verse, either.
Hebrews 11:1 - Again, no mention of the Law of Attraction.
Proverbs 23:7 - Now, this one you could probably twist into a sort of Law of Attraction verse, but it is misquoted and removed from its context on the website you linked to. It actually should read:

Proverbs 23:6-7
6 Do not eat the bread of a miser, Nor desire his delicacies;
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, But his heart is not with you.


Verse 7, then, is not saying that what you think shapes who you are (although this is true). Instead, it is saying that what is already in the heart of a miser is concealed when he urges you to "eat and drink." The verse is saying that the truth of a miser's heart is not revealed in his words. A very different idea than the Law of Attraction. The verse is actually talking about deception.

Psalms 77:11 - No mention whatever of the Law of Attraction. It doesn't even imply that such a thing exists.

And so on.

I don't see that you have established a scriptural ground for the Law of Attraction at all. Do you have anything else to add?

Who is the "them" to whom Jesus is speaking? The twelve disciples. Not you or me, or anyone else.

Does this verse stand alone in Scripture? Or are there other verses that qualify and clarify it? Well, yes there are other verses that do put limits and qualifications on this verse:

John 15:7
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

James 4:3
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.


1 John 5:14-15
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.


You see, I hope, that Mark 11:24 does not stand alone as a verse on prayer. There are others also which we must take into consideration when we pray. It is not enough to believe and ask. One must ask according to God's will, and apart from selfish pleasures, and be abiding in Christ. I don't, then, see how Mark 11:24 is grounds for the Law of Attraction.
