""The Justice Department has fired an immigration lawyer who the Trump administration has accused of sabotaging its legal case over the mistaken deportation of a Salvadoran man, according to a person familiar with the matter. Erez Reuveni argued the government’s case in the deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, who the Trump administration has said was sent to his native El Salvador last month due to a clerical error, despite a court order that he not be deported. Reuveni was initially placed on administrative leave days after he expressed frustration with the government’s inability to provide answers to questions from a judge in the case. In court, he said of the government’s position: “Our only arguments are jurisdictional. … He should not have been sent to El Salvador.” CNN
So to summarize, Mr Reuveni was fired for stating the removal of Mr Garcia was done in error. Which is the same statements made by D. John Sauer, Trump’s appointed DOJ solicitor general; and Robert Cerna, Trump's Field office director at Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Of course a lawyer can not simply misrepresent facts or lie to judges during court proceedings. So Mr. Renveni was basically fired for telling the truth as maintained by multiple Trump DOJ and ICE officials.

This is today's Trump Department of Justice, which operates indifferent to the very word "justice".

DT: The Judges are alerted to our
chicanery. Erez Reuveni came out
in court too close to the truth.

AG: He felt sincerity was wiser...

DT: He is as clumsy as he is honest.
Attorney General, prepare your
troops for a firing.

ER: The court has ruled and
we're preparing to... Aaagh!

DT: You have failed me for the last time.
