This brings to mind the phrase "to damn with faint praise". No worse than Trump - can't get much fainter.
Well….I’m not saying you’re wrong, but Trump really isn’t comparable to anyone. He has a rather larger than life personality.

That is not "the left" is shoo

That is not "the left" shooting at Trump. The shooter was a lone wolf. If the Secret Service failed in any way, that is not "the left"
The director who resigned was a friend of Jill Biden and also admitted of being in contact with the White House from her personal phone using an encrypted app. Which is a no no for government officials. Maybe it would be more accurate to say people in top leadership positions were from the left. Many top law enforcement say this so called “lone wolf “ could not have pulled this off without some kind of help.

The director of the Secret Service resigned so you are assuming conspiracy? And so what if she is a friend of Jill Biden, who is protected by the Secret Service. Why wouldn't the Secret Service have First Lady Jill Biden's phone and shouldn't the calls be encrypted?

Did you ever criticize Trump for using an unencrypted personal phone while in office? Talk about making it easy for unfriendlies to hack his phone!

President Donald Trump has continued to use his personal cell phone to make calls, despite repeated warnings from his staff that the practice could leave him vulnerable to foreign surveillance, multiple officials told CNN.
The Democratic impeachment inquiry has resurrected concerns about the security and potential vulnerability of the President’s communications. Witness testimony revealed some top officials repeatedly failed to follow protocol intended to prevent sensitive phone conversations, including those involving the President, from being intercepted by foreign intelligence services.
Several former US officials have told CNN it is highly likely that US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland’s cell phone call to Trump from a restaurant in Ukraine over the summer was picked up by intelligence agencies from numerous foreign countries, including Russia.
Were you ever concerned about that?

There is no evidence of a conspiracy, but I have learned to expect conspiratorial theories from the right.

Trump has just stated on record that if you vote for him, there is no need to vote in the next election. 'end of democracy' is not an act when Trump confirms it on record and out of his own mouth.
Trump is his own worst enemy

what he even meant by this isn't clear, but it was foolish to say for sure

he just needs to shut up and stick to the issues

otherwise Kamala will be installed in the Whitehouse, and this country will go into complete European-style crisis, and we could see WWIII

It feels like he is referencing project 2025, and the stacking of the supreme Court in favour of the idea of a Presidency without adequate checks and balances.

I heard that yesterday and saw the clip from his rally saying it. Add that to Project 2025's Schedule F, and there is the end of democracy. Those civil service people include lawyer's in the Dept. of Justice.

And look what J.D. Vance did:

Eyebrows have been raised after it was revealed that Donald Trump‘s running mate JD Vance has written the foreword to a book on the controversial Project 2025 – despite the former president denying all connection to it.
Amazon’s listing of the book, Dawn’s Early Light, describes it as outlining “a peaceful ‘Second American Revolution’ for voters looking to shift the power back into the hands of the people.
The listing notes Project 2025 head Kevin Robert as its author and Vance as the foreword. The Ohio Senator has also left an editorial review of the book in which he praises its ideas as “an essential weapon” in “the fights that lie ahead.”

Trump should not be using an unsecure, personal cellphone (if that reporting is correct)

just like Hillary shouldn't have been putting state secrets on an email server in her basement

I worked in the IT security business before I retired, and I am familiar with older people simply not understanding technology and how to protect digital assets, etc. This isn't a partisan problem

OK time-out

1. He isn't referencing Project 2025 here --and that isn't his platform (it is Agenda 47 and is on his site)
2. I haven't seen any statements from Trump saying he wants to pack the court

what he said was foolish and alarming, but let's not start making up stories

It was repeatedly brought up to Trump and he blew it off. That was willfulness on his part.

He is probably more worried about our government listening to his conversations

and I don't blame him

Erm the packing of the court happened on his watch, aided by the Republicans refusing Obama a pick.

And yes given his personally chosen VP has written the forward of a book supporting project 2025, it is clear given the fact he was addressing a christian audience that was exactly what he was referencing.

Then he blew it. He made it easy for our government and foreign governments to listen in.

He did use the encrypted phone when he wanted private words with Putin.

Emails. Clinton had emails on her encrypted, secure server.

Trump had state secrets including nuclear info in boxes in his bathroom, on a ballroom stage and in a Mar-a-Lago storage room that had a fair bit of foot traffic. Trump showed classified stuff to select guests who had no security clearance saying, "I probably shouldn't be showing you this." while being recorded.

Just watched it, he started with lying about it being rigged, then promised once elected you need never vote again. No misinterpreting required he is explicit in ending democracy.

Erm he is explicitly stating in 2028 do not bother voting. The only implication is ending democracy.
QFT

Saying they will not have to vote again implies that Trump and his allies want to take over the government to not be a democracy. That is what Project 2025 is about and lots of folks from Trump's administration had a part in writing it.

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, is making history as Donald Trump's 2024 running mate, but not in the way that the Trump campaign had hoped. According to a CNN survey taken after the Republican National Convention, Vance has an approval rating of -6 points, making him the first vice presidential nominee to enter the general election with a negative rating since 1980.
The average rating for a running mate after a party convention has been +19 points.
"Frankly, I don't really understand the pick, and apparently neither do the American voters," CNN data analyst Harry Enten said on Tuesday's OutFront with Erin Burnett. Vance, he said, is "dragging Trump down."...

With Trump struggling to appeal to moderate women, the former president may rue choosing a man who ran for Senate on a hardline anti-abortion stance, criticized childcare subsidies as "class war against normal people" and suggested that married women would be selfish for divorcing their abusive husbands, saying in 2021 that "one of the great tricks that the sexual revolution pulled on the American populace" was "making it easier for people to shift spouses like they change their underwear.”
Trump could have done better.
My thinking is the Mr Trump wanted a younger version of him so that he be used as stalking horse for Mr Biden being very old and also someone young enough that he could push around. Now that Mrs Harris is in the frame for POTUS Mr Trump's choice seems sub optimal.

No wonder he wants to sue the Democratic Party. He's been neatly out manoeuvred.

Yep,

And the campaign for the Dems is re-energized with thousands volunteering. to help and 80 % of the small donor donations coming from new donors - well, until the Zoom call the other night with White Women for Harris that had 160,000 on the call and raised millions.
