There is flawed reasoning throughout that article, as well as poor interpretations of scripture. I got as far as the part about Onan's seed and couldn't go any further.

The article states that oral sex is a way to preserve one's chastity until marriage. Chastity is more than never having went all the way or whatever you want to call it. Chastity is pureness of action and excercising of restraint. Premarital relations of this type doesn't fall into either of these categories.

Being a christian is more than just rules and what you can and cannot do. It's about one's relationship to God. Being in that relationship means his Spirit dwells in you and therefore we should honor that Spirit and keep ourselves pure. Our bodies belong to Him, not to us.

It is pretty unlikely that a couple having oral sex would resist normal sex as well, and the bible tells a lot about avoiding lusts, so even if it would be OK, then it would be really not clever to do that.

And I agree that it sounds like a bad joke.

And when it comes to oral sex in general I really don't understand how anyone enjoy it, married or unmarried. I don't know how it is like with guys, but girls have a really low PH (sour) "down there" to prevent bacterias. But if you would enjoy drinking a glass of vinegar, then it is probably great. I'd have to agree that this guy missed the message in the Onan story. The sin had nothing to do with the sexual activities. The sin was that he had agreed before the elders at the gate to take his brother and raise up children to carry on his brother's inheritecne. Oral sex would still be dishonoring his brother and stealing his brother's inheritance for his own children.

As for oral sex not being fun ... I'd have to disagree with that. As for being selfish, it may be or it may not be. It should be mutually satisfying and when it is its even more satsifying.

Can I just say something? That site- and I have read the whole thing now- reads not just like someone misunderstanding scripture, but like a primer on how to use God and Scripture to manipulate a girl into doing things she otherwise would not. And if she's not mature enough in the faith to see the error, then it ends up feeling like God is responsible for the violation, and damages that relationship.

Just a voice of experience.

Yes, because it is not a sin. Therefore Christians can exercise their freewill and freedom bought by the blood of Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:1) to engage in that activity if they so choose. Because there is no sin involved, the issue becomes about making the wisest decision...and I believe the wisest/safest decision is to wait until marriage.

I agree with your thoughts on wisdom, however, and it is good to let wisdom be a guide. Wisdom will steer you away from sin.
