I have the KJV but it's difficult for me to understand. I want to read from the old to new testament. And have an understanding of it. If anyone here has a either a ERV or NLT bible, can you give me the info please? Thank you
Do you mean to compare ERV and NLT? The easiest way to select a particularly confusing chapter that is difficult to understand in KJV. Then you can open BibleGateway and compare NLT and ERV translation of that chapter to decide which one you prefer.

I find a lot of Christians, go through a stage where they have several bibles to cross reference the different translation choices.

An amplified bible, or interlinear bible with strongs concordance has a similar effect.

You may find the site www.blueletterbible.org helpful.

I have NLT buried around here somewhere. I am not sure what info you want about it.

But basically, it's probably on something like a 6th or 7th grade reading level, I guess. It's pretty easy to understand and I think most people would have no problem with at least 99% of it.

Why not go to biblegateway.com and read selections in a variety of translations? That way you can choose the one you prefer and buy it. Or you can read them all for free at biblegateway.com for as long as you wish.

The bible that you have at home
I’ve explained it. New Living Translation. It’s a very accessible translation of the Bible and will be easy to read for virtually anybody. Again, I suggest that it’s written on something like a 6th grade reading level so you should have no trouble studying it. Is there something more specific you wish to know?

The NLT bible you linked to seems to be a study bible, although the details are not given. The NLT is considered fairly easy to understand, but the ERV is much simpler English -- probably about third grade reading level. There may not be a study bible for such an easy translation.

Another NLT study bible is:

NLT Study Bible, With thumb index

You may want to compare study materials, not just the bible text. I think there are a number of study bibles using the NLT text. Maybe someone here can comment on their experience if you ask specifically about that.

I used to like the NLT (though I hadn't used it extensively until I came upon a passage that was erroneous in a very consequential way. I don't remember which one it was. Glad you found an ESV you like, that's what my church uses.
