I thought about it but I couldn't, got off work at 7 and gotta be back at 10:30 tomorrow. Couldn't do an 8:45-11:45 Mass. I feel bad though cause apparently my wife thought I was meeting them there after I got off work. She and my stepdaughter took the boys cause a friend of ours is receiving her first Sacraments tonight.
Hopefully, if I continue to improve, I will be able to get to confession sometime this week, and get myself back to Mass next Sunday. I really need it....I miss being at Mass terribly, but I have been no shape to go anywhere for three and half weeks, at least.
I’ve been sick for some time myself. I’m sooo ready to feel better. To top it off, my niece has been diagnosed with lymphoma. First chemo treatment is Wednesday.I did not; still being sick, I didn't go this morning, either.

I went on Easter Sunday, so no. Normally, I go to the vigil every year.

I enjoy the Vigil at my Diocesan Cathedral. I think there were about 7 converts - a mix of catechumens and candidates.
It was about 2 and a half hours, but the parish a mile away was more than 3 hours long because the latter did all 7 OT Readings. However, I didn't want to go to that parish for certain reasons (somehow, I don't feel as comfortable there). I really enjoyed the Vigil though, because the Diocesan Cathedral really knows what it's doing during Holy Week. It's the bomb.

I felt so good that I could go. I wanted so badly to go to the rest of the Triduum but you know how circumstances prevented me. When I first walked into the EV (about a half hour before it started) and heard the choir rehearsing, I was so happy to hear them - a sense of relief that I was finally where I should be. I wish a certain person would not have told me that he won't let me go next year, but let me wait for some time.
It started at 8:30 PM and was done at 11:00 PM. Not particularly cram packed. We had three baptisms and seven other confirmations. Fairly good. I've heard many other places with more. I'm wondering if Aslan is on the move.

That was definitely the Holy Spirit giving you that wonderful feeling of relief because you WERE where you should be. I am so glad that you got to go, I know how much it means to you. Don't worry about next year, that will take care of itself, just take things a day at a time my friend.
