This rally is in response to the Sheriff sending law enforcement support to Standing Rock even after the Minneapolis City Counsel issued an official public statement in support of Standing Rock and against the Dakota Access Pipeline. This law enforcement support was part of the violent riot police raid against the water protectors yesterday in Standing Rock.

Apparently the Hillary Clinton campaign became unnerved by the presence of Native American youth in her Brooklyn headquarters. They had these young warriors escorted out of the building by NYPD.

They were unable to deliver their letter to her because she refused to talk to them.

I shouldn't be surprised.

She has made it perfectly clear that she does not stand with Indian Country. And Trump most certainly does not stand with Indian Country. So once again, Native Americans are being pushed aside and disregarded by the US government.

I turned the volume all the way up when the drumming started. It makes me want to get up and dance. The sound of the drumbeat is invigorating and I cannot sit still. The drumbeat is the heartbreak of native people. The drum is sacred.

The live video feed that I am watching on Facebook now from Indigenous Life Movement currently has 5.8K likes (Like, Wow, Love) and 4.1K comments so far. The whole world is watching Native Americans stand up for their survival and their rights.

This is not in Iraq or Afghanistan. This is Standing Rock on October 27, 2016. These militarized police are standing on treaty land that is suppose to be protected by the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1851. They are there to remove the water protectors.

This is how the State and law enforcement of North Dakota confront unarmed and peaceful Native Americans standing against the Dakota Access pipeline being constructed on Sioux Nation tribal land. They are trying to protect their water and their land. They are also trying to prevent the destruction and desecration of their ancestral burial grounds and sacred sites.

What happened to that soldier talk about not terrorizing/firing on American citizens?

I hate to say this Voices, but I think the Natives are being used as training for the soldiers to psychologically prepare to police and possibly fire on American citizens.

The pipeline will be built; it has already been planned. It isn't a matter of protest - the pipeline is too important 20 years from now to NOT build today, in these people''s opinion. And, those contracting them aren't afraid to cause a "scene" getting this done - which is why for the most part this entire fiasco has had marginaledit coverage, and the Trump v. Clinton distraction has been overly rampant SINCE this started.

The pockets behind the pipeline don't care about human life, only capital. So, everyone needs to stay safe, and keep perspective.

That's what I'm afraid of. As I watch the heavy handed and militarized approach the state is using to confront the protectors I'm wondering to myself where they're learning this stuff. Immediately my mind goes just south of here to Ft. Huachuca which houses the School of the Americas.

I had no idea that our police forces were so well armed and prepared to deal with American citizens with such extreme violence.
