What are your thoughts on this? I’m really disappointed to read this.

How does he ‘know’ this?

It’s apparent that there are such cardinals. Sadly. But then pope Francis picked about 80 percent of them. So we shall see. I’m thinking many of the cardinals ‘from the periphery are not that way. I have a tiny bit of hope. Mostly I’m trying to pray up a storm. That’s the important thing right now and always. To storm heaven with our prayers.

If this were true, how is it the Church hasn't changed its opposition to homosexual acts and same sex marriage?
We do now have ‘blessings’. At least for a while longer.

I just watched the World Over Live where they were discussing the need for the new pope to reverse that.

Not blessings of unions between same sex couples, but a blessing for the individual as there
always have been.

The blessing of homosexual couples has been misreported, even by some priest.

If you say so.

If we get a good pope then Fiducia Supplicans will be retracted for correction and clarification.

I know you want to think there was no foul with FS but a lot of bishops felt they had to refuse to accept it.

He knows this from word of mouth and the derogatory comment Pope Francis made was reported.

But what IF it’s true?
Well then if it's true the cardinals are mostly compromised. Wouldn't be the first time.

We are a mixture of the best and the worst. Overall, I think the worst predominate at any given time. But the Church survives because there are saints, those blessed of God who, from time to time, make a big difference. That's why we survive. That's why we aren't slammed in the gates of hell. Rotten cardinals don't win. They may appear to win in the short term though. Look at the history of Israel and Judah, the corrupt kings, the rotten priests, the sacrifice to Moloch even within the chosen people.

I look at myself and I'm not pulling the average up at all. We can work to be holy in ourselves. We can work to hold the faith despite the aliens that have taken root in the Vatican. We can teach what we know to others. Saints will come, eventually. And in the end we know we win. So we persevere.

Not very reliable when it comes to a precise percentage.
and the derogatory comment Pope Francis made was reported.
On this I consider him to have drifted into his scatological side again. Sure, we know there are some homosexual cardinals. We could even name a few names, probably accurately. Pope Francis has elevated many of them himself. But I'm not considering there is any hard data that he provided in saying so.

So yes, there is an infestation of sexual perversity among the cardinals, and the bishops they recommend to the pope. The percentage is unknown, despite what this guy claims to be a majority.

Being homosexual and carrying that cross is not a sin. Faithful clergy is celibate anyway.

Acting on it is. But maybe @FaithT concern is about cardinals advocating for homosexuality because there seems to be an awful lot of that in our clergy these days. She can correct me if I’m wrong.

I can see a chaste guy with same sex attractions that has nonetheless built upon the graces given him to live in chastity. I have no great worries about such a cardinal. In fact such a person has my respect. But that's not the sort we are talking about here.

Well the sort that’s undermining need to be disciplined but how long have we been waiting for that? 80% of the cardinals have been chosen by Pope Francis. As Padre Pio said: Pray, hope, and don’t worry.

Easier said than done but that’s all we can attempt to do.

Are gay Cardinals what the “Lavender Mafia” is or does that include priests?

What are your thoughts on this? I’m really disappointed to read this.

I share your concerns. The other nite, while watching the cardinals in procession, the thought that crossed my mind was "Are they all gay?".

I guess we have heard so much about everyone's sexuality, abuses, etc., that it's pretty normal now to wonder about these things.

But I'm wondering about something else ... Maybe it's not just the cardinals?
Maybe it is that more men in general in the world are gay?

... I'm beginning to think so, I really am.

But we hear about the cardinals, and priests, because they are in public positions of authority. And they are religious. But really, I'm wondering how 'gay' has the world really become? Maybe it is much more than we think.

Just my thoughts on it ...

I think what bothers me is what little I’ve read about the Lavender Mafia. I’ve always looked up to priests and feel sort of let down that the Catholic clergy has that culture within it.
