who does not fear?

This is just saying that all humans are imperfect in love (and everything else).

But we knew that. Only God is perfect
God's love is perfect. Christians are perfected in His Love through His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

1 John 4:18 -“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
So if people get perfection after they die, what does that
do for here and now?

24 hour news has an agenda. They have to be able, to fill news for 24 hours. So Fox and CNN, etc.. create situation/problems to fill their news hours.
Yup. They bombard us with information that only give us anxiety and distress.

Christians are are not perfect nor can they be perfect. Christians are perfected through Jesus Christ of Nazareth as He is our Advocate. We have His Holy Spirit in us who conforms us into His image. This is the regeration that makes place after repenting from unbelief to belief and love Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Upon being completed, a project is
complete.

When the tool has been sharpened. It is sharp.

But when a person is perfected, they are not perfect?

Not in the sense of the flesh but in the sense of the spirit .

It is difficult to understand that God is good and that He is going to cause good to come out of all of this.

The concept of infinitesimal plays a crucial role in understanding the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.
I don't know anything about that (last sentence)

I just want to vent again

The world has gone into the ditch, as many Christians know and Christians also know why: The world has rejected Christ. The Catholic Church is seemingly all but gone, although Jesus did promise to be with us until the End. (Mt 28:20) There are still true Catholics, thank God, but the hierarchy... can't say they are ALL terribly Catholic (to say the least). SIGH

As goes the Church, so goes the world.

I have some "Church stories" that maybe some day I can share, but I don't feel comfortable sharing them now. Only God understands, it seems. But in any case, I've written a little here on my Church experiences, but it always seems like no one really, really gets it, or maybe they do but they don't want to... well, I would like to hear other Catholics' "the Church shouldn't be like this" stories.

But instead it seems that a lot of Catholics either stay silent over the weird-ness in the Church or don't really see it or something.

Anyhow, I guess that's all the venting I will do today. :)

well, I would like to hear other Catholics' "the Church shouldn't be like this" stories.
I have several Roman Catholic friends in real life. Every one of them expresses disappointment with the state of their church.

This started off as the butterfly effect which talks about how something very tiny can effect our weather patterns.

  • The butterfly effect suggests that even small, seemingly insignificant events can lead to significant consequences in complex systems.
  • Imagine a butterfly flapping its wings in India. That tiny change in air pressure could eventually set off a chain of events that results in a tornado forming in Iowa.
  • The term “butterfly effect” was coined by Edward Lorenz, a meteorology professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in the 1960s. He was studying weather patterns and discovered something remarkable.

The world has rejected Christ. The Catholic Church is seemingly all but gone, although Jesus did promise to be with us until the End. (Mt 28:20)
He is with us and it does not much matter what others do. I worry about getting myself right with God. Which means we need a positive mental attitude and we enter into His presence with thanks giving and praise. If a church does not know how to worship, praise and honor God then you may want to consider finding a church that is able to enter into His presence with thanksgiving and praise.

Psalm 100 …4Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name. 5For the LORD is good, and His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.

The world never "accepted Christ". Christians are a minority of all humans and that's how it has always been.
The Catholic Church is seemingly all but gone, although Jesus did promise to be with us until the End.

Pretty sure the Catholic Church is still around. (Not that I would mind seeing it go.)

I have several Roman Catholic friends in real life. Every one of them expresses disappointment with the state of their church.
But I am interested in their particular stories. Here's one of mine:

I went to confession once to an out of town priest because my regular priest was gone. The unfamiliar priest didn't even hear 2 sentences, literally, before jumping on me in an agitated way, and God knows why but he began recommending psych drugs, of all things! He didn't know me from Adam and besides, was a priest, not a shrink.

The other priest he was taking the place of? He wasn't any better. I mean, I began to wonder: What the devil is wrong with priests these days? When I was young, the priests I knew were cool, for lack of a better word. They exhibited charity. This one was really friendly and we had him to dinner once. The regular priest once said that it doesn't matter whether you are Catholic or not! He said that if you are raised Baptist or whatever, well, I can't recall exact words but thegist of it was that you don't have to become Catholic!

Well, Jesus only established ONE Church and the only Church that goes back to the Beginning is the Catholic Church, which began to be called that in AD 107 (probably earlier, but we know how documents don't always survive thousands of years). And Jesus specifically said that there is only ONE way to Heaven and it is HIM, which means His Church, not the human ones that came after the 16th century.

Anyway, again, I was wondering about other Catholics. Why are they seemingly reluctant to tell"bad priest" stories, for example?

The world DID accept Christian principles. It used to be that people did not commit fornication, for example, in huge numbers. . used to be only Hollywood folks did a lot of that.

The Andy Griffith show shows us what life was like in the 50s and 60s. I know it wasn't EXACTLY like that but close.

I'm not going to give up on the Church Christ founded. That's what Luther did and then he thought he could make up a better Church than Christ himself. Then people disagreed w/ Luther and started their own "church." And so it went for centuries and today we have 60,000 or so different "christian" churches. And eveyrone is making up his own beliefs.

not exactly what Jesus Christ wanted. He established ONE Church. God doesn't need more than one. True, in a sense, all believers in Christ are part of the One He established, but as I have said b4, God wants unity.. Jesus prayed for it the night before the Crucifixion.

We should all be intent on doing exactly what Jesus commands. That should go w/o saying, right?

There are seven churches and the Roman Catholic Church is one of them. You can read about them in Revelations. Sometimes it is difficult to decide which one of those 7 your 60,000 church's are because they match up with two of them. But I am sure God has all of that figured out. We could go back to the roots to see where they came from.

Certainly! The seven churches of Revelation are significant in biblical symbolism and hold spiritual lessons for believers. These churches were real congregations in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey) during the first century A.D. Let’s explore their names and the messages they received:

  1. Ephesus:
    • The church that had abandoned its first love for Christ (Revelation 2:4).
    • Their initial fervor for Christ waned, affecting their love for others.
Smyrna

Smyrna

  1. Smyrna:
    • The church that would face severe persecution (Revelation 2:10).
    • Jesus encouraged them to remain faithful unto death, promising the crown of eternal life.
  1. Pergamum:
    • The church that needed to repent of sin (Revelation 2:16).
    • They had fallen into heresy, compromising their faith.
  1. Thyatira:
    • The church whose false prophetess was leading people astray (Revelation 2:20).
    • Their fidelity to Christ was tested by deception.
  1. Sardis:
    • The sleeping church that needed to wake up (Revelation 3:2).
    • Their spiritual vitality had dimmed.
  1. Philadelphia:
    • The church that had patiently persevered (Revelation 3:10).
    • Despite challenges, they remained faithful.
  1. Laodicea:
    • The church with lukewarm faith (Revelation 3:16).
    • Their tepid devotion saddened the heart of Christ.

The world is not still like that now? Fifty years ago 80% of the people graduated from High School a virgin. Now it is more like 20%. The scary thing is that a lot of the virgins today are because of religious conviction. The Rabbi teach their young girls to save themselves completely for their husband. They say porn destroys relationships but intimacy builds and strengthens them. Marriage is suppose to be an example of the relationship the Church or Bride has with Jesus.

If it were not for promise rings and the limited religious teaching perhaps only 10% would qualify to be a virgin. My wife claims she was a 35 year old virgin and I ruined her. In the old testament the priest were required to marry virgins. NOW they are required to marry a girl that has never been married before but there is no virgin requirement. Maybe if there was more women would save themselves for their husband and not corrupt themselves cheating on him.
