Seven year old is very interested in learning how things work and loves putting things together. Looked at some plans with $30 monthly kits and wonder if they are worth the price. Not necessary for it to be a monthly program.

What else besides Legos?

Would appreciate your input.

If the kit motivates the child to read, follow the plan, and build the new thing, I think it's well worth it.
