ISTANBUL — To escape fighting in Ukraine, the 42-year-old Russian construction worker flew through two countries in four days, spending so much on tickets, so quickly, he lost track of it all. Finally, he ended up in Turkey, where it was safe. As he stopped to breathe Tuesday, on plastic seats in the airport arrival hall, he conceded he had no idea where to go next.

Hopefully they can return to a different Russia soon. If not, starting a new life in another country is better than being led to the slaughter like cattle.

Russian soldiers had been said to be shooting one another in the feet to get invalided out other the army. They know that they are just being used as cannon fodder. Most of the Russian soldiers are only about 18, 19 years old and they are up against mature full time soldiers in the Ukriane army, who are much superiorly trained and equiped. Putin does not care about these young Russian soldiers and how many get killed. Is it any wonder that these young men are wanting to leave Russian?
